Chapter 16 Jealousy
Second to last?
Zayla looked at the upgrade rules of “PerfectHome?” Only then did she understand that the rankingwas based on the scale of the company, the number of orders received, the difficulty, and the degree ofimportance.
Although such a big project as Snow Building was not ordered in “Perfect Home“, it still got a certainscore based on its importance and degree of difficulty.
It turned out that Twilight Studio was previously the last one!
The next day, the graduation ceremony of the University of Houston started.
It was the 100th year anniversary of the University of Houston, and this graduation ceremony was soeye–catching. All the famous people almost came.
Zayla and Stephen appeared together, which was particularly eye–catching. The students were alldiscussing whether the two were together.
Simon heard the discussions around him and looked up into the distance…
He saw Zayla smiling and talking to Stephen. Although the two did not seem to be overly intimate, thescene of them chatting happily still stung his eyes!
He cursed softly and walked towards the first row of seats, taking a seat.
Coincidentally, Stephen was sitting on his right, and Zayla was beside Stephen.
Simon’s palm, which was on his knees, suddenly clenched. His heart felt like it had been doused withhot oil, suffering over and over again.
“Mr. Vargas, can we change seats?” Simon’s deep voice sounded, and it sounded like a tone that didnot allow any arguments.
Stephen, however, was unmoved, and his tone was still gentle as he said, “Mr. Russo has already seenwho is on my right. I’m afraid it’s not good to change seats. As the CEO of the Vargas Group, I havethe obligation to back up my employees. Please forgive me, Mr. Russo.”
He wished that he could do everything he could for his sister. In the five years Zayla had been withSimon, Zayla had suffered so much. He was able to speak so calmly because this was his sister’s almamater. He tried to be polite.
When Zayla heard Stephen’s answer, he secretly gave a thumbs–up.
Stephen glanced at her from the corner of his eyes and could not help laughing.
“Mr. Vargas, I hope that you did this just because you care about your employees and have no otherintentions,” Simon said sharply.
Stephen retorted, “No matter what kind of partiality you have, neither of us is married. You don’t have toworry about it, Mr. Russo.”
“Mr. Vargas is right, but you are not the only one who has not married.”
The two of them nodded and smiled. The moment their eyes met, a wave of terrifying anger burst out!Zayla felt that the next second, the two of them were going to fight.
Fortunately, at this time, the graduation ceremony began. The principal went up to the stage to give hisspeech, and the audience fell silent.
Then, the vice principal went up to the stage to announce the outstanding graduates! “ArchitectureDepartment, Norah!”
When Norah’s name was called, the audience was in an uproar.
“Norah? Are you sure?”
“Isabella, Howard, which one is not better than her?”
“No matter how outstanding they are, Norah has a backer!”
The audience was whispering to each other. Under the watchful eyes of the audience, Norah walked upthe stage in a scholar’s uniform. It seemed that the most outstanding graduate should be her!
As soon as Norah stepped on the stage, her gaze fell on Simon, full of tenderness and adoration.
But the moment she saw Zayla, her eyes instantly changed, and she seemed to be proud of herself asif saying, “Do you have such honor?”
Zayla looked at her and smiled with a little playfulness.
Norah took out the script that she had prepared and began to speak.
When the speech ended, applause sounded, and music followed!
“Next, the most mysterious and outstanding graduate of our school, please come on stage!” When thevice principal said this, everyone was shocked!
