Alpha Queen
Chapter 118

Liviana’s POV

I slowly flattered my eyes open.

“Liviana” Rainer rushed to my side.

I tried to push myself up but I felt a sudden pain shot through my right shoulder.

I glanced at it and saw that it was bandage.

Oh yeah.

I almost forgot I was actually injured in the match.

“Liviana” Rainer said as he held me.

“I’m fine” I assured him.

Rainer frowned at me.

I ignored it.

“How long was I out?” I asked.

Rainer sighed.

“3 hours, I think” he said.

I nodded.

“Did my grandparents see me?” I asked.

“Just your grandmother” he said.

I sighed in relief.

“Did you tell her what happened?” I asked again.

“No. I couldn’t tell her yet. I said that you’d want to be the one to explain” Rainer explained.

“Where’s grandpa?” I asked further.

“He went out to settle some matters. He hasn’t come back yet” he told me.

I nodded.

“Good” I said.

Then, I struggled to get out of bed.

“Where are you going?” Rainer asked and stopped me.

“I’m going to shower before dinner” I said.

Rainer just sighed and helped me go to the bathroom.

“Don’t lock the door. You might suddenly faint inside without a warning” he told me.

I chuckled.

“The reason I fainted was I used to much energy on healing your father. I’ve regained that energy now so you don’t have to worry” I explained.

Rainer stared at me for a moment.

“That’s why you fainted?” he asked.

I nodded.

“When I use my healing powers, it takes up some of my energy along with my own life for. Since I haven’t used my them for so long, my body is adjusting to it” I explained further.

“Then, why did you use it when you know that it was dangerous?” he asked with furrowed eyebrows.

“Then, did you want to watch your father die in front of your eyes?” I asked back.

Rainer looked away.

I gave him a pat.

“It’s not that serious. I just need to practice a bit more in using my energy instead of my own life force to heal someone” I assured him.

Rainer sighed.

I went inside the bathroom and closed the door.

I didn’t lock it just so Rainer wouldn’t worry too much that I’d pass out inside the bathroom.

Although, the idea of getting exposed butt naked and passed out on the floor seemed like an awful scene both for Rainer and I.

Yikes.

I faced the bathroom mirror and slowly removed my clothing.

Someone had already changed me into clean clothes.

It was probably after I was treated.

I can tell that it was done by a professional.

I’m sure Rainer wouldn’t let himself treat me in this condition.

Then, I carefully removed the bandage on my wound.

I winced a little when I felt the stinging pain.

Once I removed it, I stared at it for a moment.

It was healing well.

But I needed to fully heal it before I face my grandparents.

I wouldn’t want them to go livid in such a small matter.

I’m still alive, aren’t I?

Like I said, I’m being extra careful these days for Luke.

I stepped inside the shower and opened the shower.

I let myself soak in the water for a while.

I closed my eyes.

I began to feel the water heal my wound.

I just kept my eyes close as the cool sensation took over my body.

After a while, I looked at my wound.

It was already fully healed.

It’s like it was never even there in the first place.

“Liviana?” Rainer knocked on the door.

“I’m fine, Rainer. I’m still alive” I said with a chuckle.

I finished up washing my body quickly and wore my robe before going out.

I quickly went to my walk in closet to dress up.

I chose something sleeveless so I can show everyone my healed shoulder.

I went out of the walk in closet after I got dressed.

I went straight to my vanity to dry my hair.

Rainer’s eyes followed me.

“Are you going to just stare at me or do you actually want to tell me what’s on your mind right now?” I said.

“Your wound” he pointed out.

“I healed myself” I explained.

Rainer looked at me with eyebrows furrowed.

“Didn’t you just say that using your healing powers takes up your life force?” he said.

I nodded.

“Yes. But it’s a different case when I heal myself because it just goes back to me, anyway” I said.

Rainer sighed in relief.

“By the way, have you seen Luke since we came back?” I asked curiously.

Rainer nodded.

“Yes” he answered.

“Did you let him see me?” I asked as I looked at him.

I hoped he didn’t.

“I didn’t. I knew that you wouldn’t want Luke to see in that situation” he assured me.

I sighed in relief.

Thank the goddess.

I finished up drying my hair and faced Rainer.

“How’s your father?” I asked him.

Rainer’s eyes turned dark.

“I don’t know. Why would you ask about your opponents well being?” he said with a frown.

I raised a brow at Rainer.

“He’s your father, Rainer” I said.

Rainer looked away as his jaw clenched in anger.

I sighed.

“Look, Rainer. I understand where your father was coming from” I started.

“He has a reason to doubt me and that’s fine” I said.

Rainer looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed.

“Why are you trying to justify his actions? Shouldn’t you hate him for targeting you?” he said.

I shook my head.

“I don’t have any reason to hate or even dislike your father, Rainer” I said.

“And he has a reason to feel that way towards you?” he asked back.

I nodded.

“Yes. Yes, he does” I said.

Rainer gave me a confused look.

“I was born and grew up in the enemy’s territory. I was raised by a person who is unknown to all of you. Then, suddenly I cam in the picture and became someone that everyone should look up to” I said.

“He has every right to feel the way he does, Rainer. Because he cares about the people of Halo. I would’ve felt the same way he did” I told him.

“I don’t want you to have a bad relationship with your father just because of what happened, Rainer” I said.

Rainer sighed as he looked at me.

“We’ll visit him later after dinner” I said firmly.

“No, we won’t” Rainer said.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

“Okay, then, I will. If you don’t want to come then don’t” I said and stood up to leave the room.

“Liviana” Rainer said as he stopped me by holding on to my arm.

I raised a brow at him.

Rainer sighed.

“Fine. I’ll come” he said in defeat.

I smiled.

“Good” I said and turned to look at him.

“Don’t get mad at your father. It’s not like it was his idea to have a match anyway. It was mine. Mine alone. He only agreed to it. You should blame me instead” I said.

Rainer sighed and shook his head.

“I can’t” he said.

“Exactly” I said with a smile then I went out of the room.

Rainer followed me.

“You really know what to use against me, don’t you?” he said as we walked in the hallway.

I smiled.

“I mean, you have a choice to hate or dislike me. But you won’t do it. I’m not at fault in that area” I said with a shrug.

Rainer chuckled.

We made our way to Luke’s room.

The guards opened the door for us and we went in.

Kaley and Luke turned to look at our direction.

“Mama!” Luke said and walked to me.

I held him in my arms and hugged him.

“Liviana! Oh ghad! Are you okay?” Kaley asked worried.

She rushed to me and checked my whole body.

I chuckled.

“I’m fine, Kaley. Where’s grandma?” I asked.

“Fine? Just a few hours ago, you were bleeding to death. You can’t possibly heal that fast. Wait…can you?” she asked stunned.

“I was not bleeding to death” I denied and glanced at Rainer.

“Was I?” I asked.

Rainer chuckled.

“Liviana” Kaley scolded.

I laughed.

“I really am fine, Kaley. You don’t see a wound, right? I’m not bleeding, right? I’m alive, right?” I said.

Kaley looked at me and nodded.

“Right” she said.

“Exactly” I said with a smile.

“Now, where’s grandma?” I asked again.

Kaley sighed.

“She must ne waiting for King Callisto to tell him what happened to you” she said.

Uh-oh.

“Can’t let that happen” I said.

“Hold on, baby. We need to make a run for it” I told Luke.

Luke held on tightly to me as I turned to the door.

“Open!” I said.

The guards opened the door and I ran out carrying Luke.

“Liviana!” Rainer and Kaley called out as they ran after us.

Luke giggled excitedly as we ran to the hallways.

My son must think this is some kind of game.

What he doesn’t know is his mom is in some real trouble.

Rainer caught up with me as he ran beside me.

“You’re really something” Rainer said in disbelief.

I shrugged as we made our way down the stairs.

“Give me Luke” Rainer said as we got down the stairs.

“We’re fine. We’re having fun, aren’t we, Luke?” I said.

Luke giggled.

Rainer sighed and shook his head in disbelief.

We made our way to the living room.

That must be where grandma is waiting.

I’m sure of it.

We reached the living room.

I was right.

Grandma was sitting on the couch anxiously as she drank tea.

“Grandma” I called out.

She looked up at me and her eyes widened.

“Liviana, your awake! Oh my! My precious granddaughter!” she said as she stood up and rushed to us.

Grandma immediately checked my whole body in worry.

“Are you okay? You were bleeding earlier. What happened? Who hurt you? Tell grandma right now. Tell me. I’ll punish whoever it is that harmed our sweet little girl” she said tearing up.

I smiled.

Grandma must’ve been really worried.

Now, I feel really bad for letting myself get injured.

I should’ve dodged better.

I really need to train more.

“I’m fine, grandma. I really am. Look, I don’t have a wound anymore, right? I’m not bleeding anymore and I’m not hurting either. I’m in one piece” I assured her.

Grandma looked at me with a frown.

“What happened? Tell me what happened right this instant” she asked again.

“It’s just—” I was about to explain.

The door suddenly burst open and my grandfather suddenly came in.

He looked livid.

He had a dark aura emitting from him.

One that was ready to kill on sight.

“Where’s my granddaughter?” he growled.

Oh we’re in so much trouble.
