Alpha Queen
Chapter 137

Liviana’s POV

“Let me know when you get to the palace. And when you’re leaving for Halo. And when you arrive at Halo” I told Rainer.

Rainer chuckled.

“I will” he said.

“Don’t forget” I said again.

Rainer nodded.

“I won’t” he said and pulled me in for a hug.

“Don’t cause any trouble while I’m gone” he told me.

I slightly pouted.

“I won’t” I denied.

“Take care. I’ll be back as soon as I can” he said and planted a k**s on the top of my head.

I nodded.

Then, I waved Rainer goodbye as he went to the car and drove off.

Suddenly, someone cleared their throat and I turned around to look.

Pa, Edmond and El stood their with their arms crossed in front of their chest.

“What?” I asked innocently.

“What was that about?” Pa asked with a raised brow.

“What was what about?” I said.

Pa frowned at me.

“Who is he exactly to you, Livi?” Edmond asked next.

“He’s Rainer. He’s the head warrior of Halo. He’s also the one who saved my life and looked after me all these years” I said.

“We asked who HE is to YOU? Like, is he your boyfriend? Second chance mate? Your love interest?” El said.

“He’s my friend. A really close one” I answered.

They glanced at each other.

“I’ll stop here” Pa said.

“Get some more rest, sweetheart” Pa said and gave me a k**s on my temple.

I nodded.

“Me too” Edmond said in defeat and waved me goodbye.

El stayed as he gave me a judging look.

“I need a proper explanation” he said.

I rolled my eyes and walked pass him.

El followed me.

“You guys were too lovey dovey that it hurt my eyes. There’s something going on between the both of you and I want to know what it is” he said as he followed me.

“There’s no thing going on, El. Rainer is a really good friend of mine who’s been there for me all these years while I was gone” I told him.

“You can’t fool me, Livi. I saw the way he looks at you and I watched the way you act around him. He loves you and even if you don’t feel the same way about him, I still think that he means a lot to you” he stated.

I gave him a look.

“What gave you that impression?” I said.

“You might have disappeared for 3 years but I still know you well, Livi. We grew up together after all” he said.

We reached my room and El still followed me inside.

El sat on my bedside while I stood up looking at him with crossed arms in front of my chest.

“Let’s say that what you said was true. So what about it?” I said.

El gave me a look.

“Have you just moved on from Luan?” he suddenly said.

It caught me a little off guard.

I sighed.

“No, El. No one else will ever make me feel the way Luan did” I said.

El sighed in relief.

“Thank the goddess” he said.

I rolled my eyes at him with a chuckle.

“Why do you even ask me these things?” I asked him.

“Because I was worried about how you were acting around that Rainer guy. I thought you…already forgot about Luan after what happened” he said with a sigh.

“I’d never forget about Luan, El. Not even after what happened” I told him.

El smiled.

“I’m glad. Anyway, haven’t you met him?” he asked curiously.

I sighed.

“It’s a long story. I’ll explain later to everyone. It’s an even more complicated situation” I said.

El looked at me with a raised brow.

“So there’s more shocking things that you need to tell us?” he asked.

I nodded.

El pursed his lips.

“I’m sure that nothing is more shocking than the fact that you’re still alive but okay” he said.

I chuckled.

“Wait till later and tell me if you still feel the same way” I told him.

El furrowed his brows at me.

I laughed.

“Now, get out. I want to sleep a little longer” I said pulling El out of my bed and pushing him out my room.

“What time are you planning on waking up? I don’t think I can wait too long to know about your other shocking news?” El asked.

I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t you have a life, El? Seriously?” I said chuckling.

El looked at me.

“I don’t really have much of a life so I’d rather know yours” he said with a shrug.

I chuckled.

“Go away. We’ll talk again after I get my well deserved rest” I said.

El chuckled and nodded.

“Talk to you again soon, Livi” he said and I smiled at him before closing the door.

I went back to bed to rest.

Then, I barely slept.

I turned to my side and looked beside my bed.

I suddenly remembered Luan laying there.

Every day was perfect waking up beside him.

I never appreciated it as much as I do now because I know now how it feels like when I lost that.

I just wish that I could bring it all back.

I only got a few more hours of sleep until I woke up and decided to just go on with my day.

I took a shower ang got dressed.

Luckily, none of my things were touched amd were well maintained so I still had everything I needed while I stayed in Crescent Moon.

I went down and saw Ellie playing with Lizi in the living room.

Just like that, another memory of Luan popped up in my head.

The way I’d come down to see Luan playing with Ellie then.

I’m sure he’d be thrilled to play with Luke.

“Hi, Livi!” Ellie greeted when she saw me.

“Hey, beautiful” I said and gave her a k**s on her forehead.

Ellie giggled and gave me a k**s on the cheek.

“Livi” Lizi said and tried to stand up to go to me.

I picked her up and carried her in my arms.

“Hi, cutie” I said and gave her a k**s on the cheek.

Lizi giggled.

I smiled.

“You’re awake” Theresa peaked out of the kitchen.

“Good morning, Theresa” I greeted her.

Theresa smiled.

“Good morning, Livi” she greeted me back.

“Are you hungry?” she asked.

I nodded.

“Good thing I made your favorite” she said.

I smiled and went to the kitchen carrying Lizi and holding Ellie’s hands.

Then, I saw Madeline in the kitchen as well.

“Good morning, Madeline” I greeted her.

“Good morning, Livi” she greeted me back with a smile.

I smiled and sat by the dining table with Ellie beside me and Lizi on my lap.

“And what do you little girls want?” Theresa asked Ellie and Lizi as she served me my food.

“Cookies, mama” Ellie said batting her lashes at her mom.

Theresa chuckled and nodded.

“Thanks, Theresa” I told her.

“You’re welcome, Livi” she said smiling at me.

Theresa got Ellie and Lizi some cookies and we started eating.

I couldn’t help but remember Luan again.

How we would eat together in this table together.

After that, Ellie, Lizi and I played together.

Looking at them, I started to miss Luke more.

I wonder how he’s doing.

I wonder if he’s getting enough sleep.

I wonder if he’s looking for me.

I sighed.

I badly want to see my son again.

After a while, Ellie and Lizi napped.

I went out of the pack house and headed to the woods to take a walk.

I was so distracted that I found myself by the lake.

The same lake where Luan I used to meet.

The lake where we almost met for the first time.

The lake that we had dinner in for our first date.

Suddenly, I felt something on my face and I touched it.

I bit my lower l*p as I looked up at the sky to stop myself from crying.

Ghad.

I wish Luan was here.

I wish I could tell him everything that has happened for the past 3 years.

And I wish he could tell me what has happened to him as well for the past 3 years.

I miss him so much.

I have so many things to tell him.

I huffed in frustration.

I really need to snap out of it.

I should understand that Luan needs space after all that he found out.

“Crest?”

I turned around to look and saw Tyler Howl.

He’s eyes widened when I turned around to look at him.

I immediately wiped my tears away.

“I must be going crazy. This can’t be true. I’m probably seeing things” I heard Howl say.

I turned to look at him again.

He was holding his head and slapping himself.

My brows furrowed at him and I gave him a strange look.

“What’s wrong with you?” I said giving Howl a judgemental look.

Howl looked at me again wide eyed.

“Y-you’re talking to m-me?” he stuttered in shock.

“Obviously” I said rolling my eyes.

Howl stared at me wide eyed.

” I thought…they said….we….Crest?” Howl said confused.

I chuckled.

“Long time no see, Howl” I said with a slight smile.

Howl’s mouth gaped open.

After that, we went back to Crescent Moon’s pack house together.

He asked so many questions on the way back.

I answered half of his questions.

And I told him to shut up and mind his own business with the other half.

Everyone was already waiting for me since I still needed to tell them some important things.

Now, Howl was going to be there too.

“You were in Halo? In another territory? All this time? That’s why we couldn’t replace you anywhere” Howl said as we arrived by the pack house.

“Yes, Howl. How hard is it to understand that?” I said.

“I don’t know, Crest. It’s just so common to happen, you know” he said with a hint of mockery.

I rolled my eyes.

I looked at the entrance of the pack house as I took a deep breath.

My time for reminiscing my precious memories in the past is done.

Now, I need to face the present and explain the cruel past.
