Alpha Queen -
Chapter 46
Luan’s POV
I stared at Liviana as she slept.
She’s calmed down a bit now.
She might not have cried earlier but I felt how anxious she was of her situation.
Every wolf will be intrigued about her since she bears the moon goddess’ mark now.
One thing will lead to another and it’s going to be a mess if that happens.
“If only I can take all the burdens away, I will” I whispered and kissed the top of Liviana’s head.
I sighed.
Then the door to Liviana’s room opened and her uncle came in.
“Let’s talk outside” he said blankly and closed the door without another word.
I chuckled in disbelief then came out of Liviana’s room.
He was waiting for me outside.
Then when I got out, he started to head downstairs to the living room and out of the pack house.
He suddenly stopped at his tracks then turned to me.
“I still don’t trust and I don’t think that I ever will. The only reason I’m letting you around Liviana now is because I know that it’s good for her wolf” he started.
“You know things that you shouldn’t. If you weren’t Liviana’s mate. I would’ve killed you long ago even if you’re a prince” he said.
I smirked in disbelief.
“Did you call me here to pick a fight?” I asked in disbelief.
“No. I called you out here to warn you not to do anything that can possibly affect Liviana negatively because the moment I replace out that you’re here to harm her. I won’t hesitate to kill you myself because Liviana’s wolf will eventually get over you if you’re dead” he warned.
I smirked.
“I would never hurt my mate even if you didn’t threaten to kill me and I’m not scared of you. Liviana is my mate and you’re barely her family. I don’t trust you with her as much as you don’t trust me with her” I said.
He too smirked in disbelief.
Then the door to the pack house opened revealing El.
“You two aren’t planning on killing each other tonight, right? I don’t want to have to explain to Liviana how her uncle and her mate killed each other while she was peacefully sleeping” El said with a frown.
Liviana’s uncle simply ignored him and went inside the pack house without another word.
El looked at me.
“You two sure don’t get along huh” El said.
“He’s annoying” I stated as I came in the pack house too.
“I’m sure he replaces you annoying too. It’s a mutual feeling towards those who hate each other” El shrugged.
I just chuckled in disbelief.
“The guest room was prepared for you. You can sleep there tonight as long as your men don’t come barging inside the pack house to look for their prince because that will definitely piss off Livi” he said.
“I already told them to leave me alone so I think it’ll be a peaceful night for all of you” I said and El chuckled.
“Okay, your majesty. I’ll head off now” he said and playfully bowed to me before leaving.
I made my way up again and to Liviana’s room to check on her.
She was still asleep.
Then I made my way to the guest room in their pack house.
I stared at the ceiling before drifting off to sleep.
Then I was suddenly in the forest. The place where I’d meet Deimos often.
I walked for a little until I reached a clearing and I saw Deimos.
“Deimos” I called him and he turned to look at me.
“We should’ve stayed beside mate” he whined immediately.
I chuckled.
“Believe me, I want to stay with her all night too. But we didn’t get her permission to sleep beside her so we can’t do it tonight” I explained.
I respect Liviana’s boundaries now.
It’s hard but I try.
I was used to getting everything I want and things going my way but with Liviana, everything is different.
It’s extremely difficult but I know it’s what will make Liviana feel comfortable around me.
It’s what will please her.
Deimos whined like a child.
I can’t believe how childish he acts because of our mate.
He’s always been that fierce and fearsome wolf that any other wolf would cower in fear to.
And he still is that.
But not with Liviana and her wolf.
He’s like a puppy around them.
And I don’t blame them.
Even I admit how much I change around Liviana.
“Do you not see her wolf enough?” I asked him.
Deimos huffed.
“I do but it’s hard to be around each other and remember we’re not mated yet” Deimos said eyeing me.
Ah.
That.
I guess even Liviana’s wolf is anxious to seal the mate bond.
“Liviana isn’t ready yet, Deimos. We need to wait a little longer” I told him.
Deimos huffed.
“It’s not that easy specially when she’s always surrounded by unmated males” Deimos said with a low growl.
It’s true.
It gets harder and harder to control both Deimos and I’s feelings when Liviana is around males.
Werewolves are extremely possessive and territorial.
Specially when it comes to our mates.
But since Liviana is a different case, it’s not easy.
“Just trust Liviana, Deimos” I tried to convince him.
Deimos turned his back away from me.
“Whatever” he said and I jolt awake.
Then I sensed something weird.
I got out of bed and rushed to Liviana’s room.
And I was right.
My eyes met Liviana’s as tears streamed down her face.
“Luan…” she muttered as her voice cracked.
I approached her and I pulled her in my arms to hug her while we’re on her bed.
“It’s okay, baby. I’m here now” I said caressing her hair.
Liviana held on to me tightly as she buried her face on my chest.
She started calming down with my presence and I continued to caress her hair as I whispered soothing words to her ears.
I know that a lot of things are happening in Liviana’s life right now.
That may be one of the reasons why she chose not to be mated to me yet.
Or atleast that’s what I want to believe.
I just hold onto the fact that at the end of the day, I’m the who she’s tied with by the moon.
She’s the other half of my soul.
And I am hers.
“Do you want to tell me what happened?” I asked carefully.
I needed to know what happened to be able to help her if I can.
I don’t want to let her keep everything to herself so I can help her in any way that I can.
“They’ll kill them all” she said with a shaky breath.
My brows furrowed.
“Who will?” I asked her as a growl formed in my chest.
No one can dare touch my mate and her people that she cherish so much.
I won’t let it happen.
Liviana pulled away from me and eyed me for a moment.
“The King” she said and I froze.
My father?
