Alpha Queen
Chapter 67

Liviana’s POV

“It’s still you, Livi” he said as he stared straight into my eyes.

I couldn’t quite breathe properly.

I wasn’t sure what he meant.

I gulped.

“We should probably head back. It’s getting late and I need to do something” I said as I stood up.

Andre held my wrist to stop me.

“Why? What were you going to do?” he asked curiously.

“I’m supposed to call Luan” I said bluntly. He just stared at me for a moment.

“Can I ask you one more thing?” he said and I nodded almost reluctantly.

“How long have you guys known together?” he asked.

“Long enough” I said and gave him a small smile before lightly pulling my hand back and started to walk back to the pack house.

The last thing I needed right now was another boy problem.

I’m not assuming anything.

But maybe I am being cautious.

I know how densed I can be.

It’s bad.

I reached the pack house and saw Edmond and Dante sitting in the living room.

“Edmond, kindly set up a room for Andre if he’s planning on staying for the night” I instructed.

“Yes, Alpha” Edmond replied and stood up.

“Aren’t you going to have dinner, Liviana?” Dante asked before I could go upstairs.

“I’m not hungry” I simply said and rushed upstairs.

I went to my room and locked it before plopping down my bed.

Maybe I’m over thinking this.

Andre and I haven’t seen each other for 8 years and although we spend our childhood together, I always saw him as an older brother and nothing else.

But if what I’m assuming is actually true, then I don’t want it.

I sighed.

I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and dialed Luan’s number.

He picked up almost immediately.

“Hey”

“Hey” I replied softly.

“How was the talk?”

I paused for a moment.

“It was fine at first. Then ot became a little confusing in the end” I confessed.

“What do you mean?”

“I can’t quite explain it. But anyways, what about you? Were you able to deal with the thing you were supposed to deal with?” I changed the subject.

“A little bit yeah”

It was quiet for a moment.

“Will you be back here tomorrow morning?” I suddenly asked. Luan chuckled.

“Yes, baby. I’ll be back there early in the morning”

I smiled a little.

I somehow felt excited to see him even though we basically met earlier today.

“Do you miss me?”

“You wish” I said with a chuckle and he laughed from the other line.

“Well I sure do”

Me too.

I can’t wait for morning to come.

I wanted to see Luan so badly.

I know I’m starting to think all clingy and needy but it was either the mate bond or another side of me that I forgot I even had in the first place.

“I’d love to come over there and see you again but I know that you need to rest more so I’ll just see you tomorrow, okay?”

“Okay” I replied.

“Get some some rest and go to sleep now, my love. I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodnight”

“Goodnight” I said with a smile on my face.

I stared at my ceiling for a moment before drifting off to sleep.

I shouldn’t be over thinking this.

It complicates things too much.

The next thing I know I was in the forest and I could clearly see my mom’s back from me.

“Mom!” I called out and she turned to look at me with a bright smile on her face.

“My sweet girl” she said as we hugged each other.

“I missed you” I muttered and looked at her. She smiled.

“I missed you more” she said and kissed my forehead.

“How are you feeling? You used your powers again” she said sounding worried.

“I’m doing just fine, mom. I rarely use my powers and I gain my energy back quickly” I told her.

My mom sighed as she tuck a lose strand of fair behind my ear.

“You’re so precious, Liviana” she said with a smile.

“I wish I can help you in other ways but I can’t” she said and a tear fell from her eye.

“I wish I can protect you from the dangers that fate will throw your way” she continued as tears streamed down her face.

“But all I can do now is look after you and support you. Then from time to time, meet you like this to encourage you” she said and slightly smiled.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t gives you the normal life that you deserved” she said apologetically. I held my mom’s face.

“Don’t say that, mom. I’m happy I even got to know you. Sure, my life might be tough now, but that doesn’t mean that it will always remain this way. I’ll have better days, mom. I’m just glad that I can meet you in any way” I assured her. She smiled as she hugged me again.

Then I woke up.

I rubbed my eyes as I sat up on my bed.

I smiled to start my day.

I went straight to the bathroom and took a shower before dressing into my school clothes.

I peaked through the balcony and saw Luan’s car outside.

I smiled.

I went out of my room and downstairs.

Andre appeared from the kitchen with a disheveled hair, a coffee in his hand abd a frown on his face.

“Morning. You look like you’re in a bad mood this early in the morning” I said with a chuckle and Andre turned to look at me then pouted.

“You can blame that to his majesty in the kitchen whose mere presence pisses me off” he said and I laughed as I made my way to the kitchen where Luan was.

“Good morning” I greeted to get his attention. Luan turned to look at me and smiled.

“Good morning” he said and immediately pulled me close to him and hugged me while he was sitting down. I chuckled at his actions but didn’t complain as he hugged me.

El walked in with Andre by his side and they both saw us.

“Woah there! Ain’t it too early to be doing this, lovebirds?” El teased making me chuckle.

Luan’s hold on me tightened a bit as Andre frowned at us.

I placed my hand on the side of Luan’s neck and started to lightly rub him there soothingly with my thumb.

“It’s okay” I mind linked him.

Luan started to relax a bit.

The 4 of us had breakfast together.

“Are you seriously going to school after what happened yesterday?” Andre asked. I nodded.

“I’m feeling just fine and nothing is wrong with me so I don’t have any reason not to go” I said and shrugged.

Andre sighed.

“By the way, how long are you planning on staying here, Andre?” El asked Andre.

“Maybe for a few days. That’s if Livi let’s me” Andre said and made puppy eyes at me. I chuckled but I felt Luan tense up beside me.

I reached out for his hand and lightly squeezed it to calm him down.

“Sure. It’s been a while since you visited. I’m sure that the other pack members who know you will be glad to see you again after so long” I said and Luan’s fist clenched.

“Thank you, Livi” he said and I nodded.

“Just give your mom a call first and let Alpha Seth know too” I reminded him and he nodded.

We finished up breakfast.

We went out and El and I got in Luan’s car together.

“I’ll see you later” Andre said to me with a smile. I nodded and gave him a small smile before we drove off.

Luan was quiet but I knew he wasn’t happy.

I turned to look back at El.

“Can you put on your earphones? I need to talk to Luan” I said to El. He nodded and put on his earphones in his ears.

I turned to look at Luan next.

“Are you upset?” I asked Luan.

“Why would I be?” he asked back in a cold tone.

“Luan, Andre is part of the pack even after they left. He’ll always be part of the Crescent Moon pack and I can’t do anything about it” I explained to him and he glanced at me.

“That guy clearly likes you, Liviana. And you just agreed to let him stay with you in the same roof” he said as his hand clenched on the stirring wheel.

“He knows that I have a mate and he knows that it’s you” I countered.

“You think that’s going to stop him? Liviana, you’re not marked. Unmated wolves will keep going after you until they see a mark on you which you won’t let me give you” he said in a frustrated tone.

I sighed.

“I thought we already talked about this, Luan” I said.

“We did and as much as I hate having to bring it up over and over again because we only end up arguing, it needs to be brought up” he said with a sigh.

“Don’t you trust me?” I asked him with a frown. Luan glanced at me.

“I trust you, Liviana. But not them. I don’t trust them” he said sternly.

“Then just trust me, Luan. I can handle it” I said and he sighed with a frown then didn’t say anything else.

I massaged the bridge of my nose in frustration.

We reached school and Luan parked his car.

I didn’t wait for him to open the door for me anymore.

“Let’s talk again later” I tokd him. Luan shook his head and I looked at him with my brows furrowed.

“I’d rather not. Just do you. You won’t listen to what I say anyway so why bother? I don’t want to get in an argument anymore” he said blankly and walked away.

I clenched my fist then El gave me a pat on the pack.

“Just let him cool down a bit, Livi” he said and I nodded with a sigh before making my way to my class.

We barely just actually started and now we’re having another disagreement.

Great.

Just great.
