Chapter 71

Liviana’s POV

“Good morning” Luan greeted with his messy hair and sleepy yawn.

It’s been a few days since I finally told Luan how I felt about him and its been the most wholesome few days of my 18 year old life.

Luan stayed in the pack house those past few days.

In addition to that, he’s been bickering with Andre since both of their stays and El would always be the one to stop them both.

Today, Andre is leaving to go back to his pack.

“Good morning” I greeted as I sat up and in the bed then Luan sat in front of me before pulling me into his arms and kissing the top of my head.

“I can wake up to this everyday” he said with a satisfied smile on his face. I chuckled.

“Oh yeah? Well, you’ve been saying that every morning too” I said with a chuckle.

Luan looked at me and pinched my cheeks.

“And I’ll say it again” he said with a chuckle.

I laughed.

Luan stays in one of the guest rooms in the pack since my uncle will have our heads if we sleep in the same room.

Luan and Dante haven’t really bickered in a while even when they basically see each other every day.

They throw insults or threats at each other every once in a while but nothing serious.

My uncle Dante doesn’t go ballistic when Luan becomes extra close to me anymore either.

I’m starting to think that he’s beginning ti accept Luan and he’s starting to trust me more with my personal life too.

“I’ll go ahead and wash up. You can go down first if you want” I said as I got off the bed.

“Nah. I’ll just wait for you so we can go down together” he said and I nodded.

There was no use to convince him to do otherwise so I might as well just get on with it.

I took a quick shower and changed into my training clothes before going out of the bathroom.

As soon as I got out, I saw Luan with my blow dryer in his hand.

I smiled.

He does this every time.

“Come here, miss. Let’s dry your hair” he said with a wink and I chuckled.

I sat down on the stool and he started drying my hair.

“You can do a part time in the salon” I teased and Luan chuckled.

“I’d rather not. Too many female heads in one place that you can rip off” he teased back.

I slightly pouted but realized that it was sort of true.

“I’ll just be your personal hair guy” he suggested and I nodded with a satisfied smile.

“I like that better” I said and I saw him smile.

After our little moment, we went down together.

“Livi! Luan!” Ellie squealed excitedly and ran to us.

Luan caught Ellie in his arms and she hugged him tightly by the neck before turning to me and pouting her lips.

I leaned in so she could give me a k**s and I gave her one on the cheek too.

Luan carried Ellie in her arms as we went to the kitchen where Andre and El were.

“Good morning, lovebirds” El greeted with the same teasing smile he gives us every morning.

“Good morning, Livi” Andre greeted me with a smile earning another frown from my mate.

“Good morning, Andre” I greeted back as Luan and I sat down beside each other.

We were served breakfast.

Ellie was sitting on Luan’s lap and we took turns feeding her.

It has became a routine for us whenever Ellie woke up in time to join us for breakfast.

“You’re literally like a married couple. No one can tell me otherwise” El stated earning a smug smile from Luan and they did a high five.

This two get closer and closer each day. I’m now officially convinced that they’re each other’s bestfriends.

El doesn’t even call Luan with formality even with other people around.

That’s how close they are now.

“Livi can definitely do better” Andre butt in earning a frown from Luan.

“Luan is already the best, Andre” I said earning a teasing ‘ooohhh’ from El and a satisfied grin and a k**s on the cheek from Luan.

Although the line made me cringe, I’m glad that I’m able to finally say what’s on my mind.

Andre only rolled his eyes when Luan smirked at him.

“Will you join us for the morning training or are you planning on leaving before then?” I asked Andre.

“I’ll join the morning training and leave afterwards” he said and I nodded.

We finished up breakfast and made our way to the training grounds.

Luan stayed in the pack house to shower first and change before joining us.

“You never told me why you’re leaving so soon” I said as we walked to the training grounds.

“I don’t have a choice. As much as I want to stay longer, my time is up” he said.

“Your time is up? What do you mean?” I asked with my brows furrowed.

“I’m taking over the Alpha title by next week, Livi” he said with a smile but it didn’t reach his eyes.

I was a little surprised but I had expected him to be the next Alpha of their pack already.

I mean, he is still acknowledged as Alpha Seth’s son when his mom became mated to the Alpha.

On top of that, Andre only has one sibling or half sibling. His younger sister who I recall only started shifting recently.

“Good for you” I said and gave him a pat on the back.

“Is it really good for me though?” he said.

I could feel that he was having doubts.

Maybe he felt the same way that I did when I first started to take over the title.

“At some point in your reign, you’ll realize how fulfilling it is to be Alpha. I know you enough to know that you’ll make an amazing leader, Andre. Trust yourself and you’ll be just fine” I assured him.

Andre gave me a smile.

“Thank you. I’m glad I decided to stay here before going back” he said and I smiled.

“And I’m glad you came back” I said.

Then we reached the training grounds.

I was greeted by the pack members like usual and we started with warm ups.

Andre led the training while I supervised.

A little later, Luan came holding Ellie’s hand on his as they watched from the side.

Training continued on until it was time for a little sparring session.

The pack members started first by fighting against each other.

I was very keen in watching their every move.

I can say that they are indeed improving each day and I feel proud and relieved as their Alpha.

This only means that they are capable of handling themselves and keeping themselves safe at all times.

That’s all I wanted after all.

I don’t expect them to fight the pack’s battles.

We have warriors for that and myself.

As much as I can, I’ll fight the pack’s battles with them.

All I’m aiming for right now is for them to be able to protect themselves from possible harm since I can’t always be where they are to save them from danger.

After the pack members, the main event is finally called out.

Andre and I.

We came to the circle.

It’s a 2 minute one on one fight in our human form and a minute of one on one fight in our wolves where we shift midway.

“I’m not going to go easy on you, Livi” Andre told me. I smirked.

“I don’t expect you to” I said with a smug smile.

Alex blew the whistle and Andre immediately lunged at me but I was quick to dodge him.

It’s been so long since we sparred against each other but Andre’s moves still seemed awfully familiar.

He was on offense and I was on defense.

It was a really close fight.

I was able to land a few hits on him and he landed a few hits on me too.

“Shift!” Alex shouted midway and we quickly shifted.

I finally saw his wolf again after that day when I saw him in the woods fighting the rogues with my guards.

Andre also took his time looking at my wolf.

I’m sure even Andre is a bit surprised to see my wolf. Anyone would be surprised to see my wolf.

I was different after all. We were different.

Andre lunged at me and I was caught a little off guard so we ended up in a collision and tumbled to the ground together.

I quickly got up on my feet and lunged at him pinning him to the ground.

Once he couldn’t get out, we heard the sound of the whistle meaning its the end.

I got off Andre and Luan came to my side with a blanket and my clothes.

El did the same for Andre.

I went to a nearby bush and shifted back to my human form there before slipping into my clothes then came out of the bush.

Alex started to finish up the training with the pack members as I stood on the side with Luan.

“Great job, love” Luan complimented and gave me a k**s on my temple.

“Thank you” I said with a smile.

“Livi is amazing” Ellie said and I smiled as I carried her in my arms.

“Thank you, little one” I said and she gave me a k**s on the cheek.

Andre and El came back and stood beside us.

“No doubt that you can take down any Alpha or wolf at that. The rumors were true. You’re a beast in battle” Andre said and nudged me with a smile.

I chuckled.

“Out of everyone I’ve fought with, you’re the first to keep up with me” I said and Andre smiled.

“Thanks” he said and I smiled.

The morning training finished and Andre prepared to leave.

“I expect to see you at my inauguration as Alpha” Andre said. I nodded.

“I’ll be there” I said and he smiled.

“Tell your mom I said hi” I said and he nodded.

“I will” he said.

Andre and I hugged goodbye.

“Goodbye, Livi” Andre whispered.

“Till I see you again, Andre” I said and we pulled away from each other.

I waved Andre goodbye with a small smile on my face.
