Alpha Queen
Chapter 92

Liviana’s POV

“Atleast give me a ride, Crest” Howl said as I shook my head at him in disbelief.

“You got here by running. You might as well run back” I said as we reached my motorbike.

Howl has been trying to convince me to let him on my bike and drive him.

Like, who does he think he is?

“Oh come on. You and I both know I cheered you up, miss sulky pants” he teased and I frowned at him.

I rolled my eyes at him.

“Get on and don’t ever call me that ever again” I said as I threw him the helmet.

Howl chuckled and got on after I did.

Then, he suddenly put on my helmet on me and I turned to look at him.

“Put it on. You’re more at risk than I am” he said with a small smile.

I eyed him for a moment and decided to just brush it off.

Howl held on to the back of my motorbike and we drove off.

It wasn’t a long ride from his pack.

The guards in their park was on standby by the gate as they looked at Howl and I.

Howl got off my motorbike.

“Thanks, Crest” he said with a smile.

I gave him a small nod before driving away.

I didn’t want to give anyone the wrong idea.

Specially not between Howl and I.

I made my way back to the pack house and arrived there when it was already dark.

I thought it wouldn’t have been a big deal but as soon as I saw Luan burst out of the front door, I knew he was beyond pissed.

Our eyes met and then he looked away and went back inside.

I sighed.

I got down my motorbike and went inside.

Luan was sitting by couch and El was on the other side as he played with his phone.

El looked up and saw me.

“Oh you’re back” El said then he looked at Luan.

“She’s back, dude. Now, calm down” he told my mate with a chuckle.

“Where have you been?” Luan asked seriously.

I stared at him for a moment with a blank face.

“Out” I simply answered and passed him to go upstairs.

But suddenly, Luan caught me as he grabbed my arm and yanked me back.

“You smell of another male” he hissed dangerously.

My brows furrowed at him as I yanked back my arm at his grip.

Howl’s scent must’ve slightly transferred to me during our ride to their pack because of his strong perfume.

“It’s Howl’s” I simply said and was about to walk off until Luan grabbed me.

“You left to meet another male?!” Luan growled lowly.

I saw El glance at us.

“I didn’t intentionally meet up with him. We just happened to unintentionally see each other in the same place and I ended up giving him a ride home” I explained with a neutral expression.

Luan’s grip on me tightened.

“Oh really? Didn’t he have his own vehicle? Why would he have to ride with you?” he asked in an annoyed tone.

I eyed Luan for a moment.

“He didn’t have a ride. If he did, do you think I would give him a ride back? What’s so hard to understand in that?” I said in an annoyed tone.

Luan glared at me making me frown.

“Do you just casually hang out with your flings, Liviana? Is this another secret I should know about you?” he said with gritted teeth.

My b***d boiled in anger.

“What the fck is your problem? Have you even considered asking why I had to keep THAT a secret from you? And why are you suddenly getting pissed at me for going out to get some air? You’ve been ignoring these past few days. I feel uncomfortable being around you because you make me feel like I’m the worst person for trying to protect you!” I hissed at him as my eyes watered.

Fck it.

I sterted to tell Ketie everything.

I pulled my arm away from Luan.

“Get a grip, Grey” I said as I marched upstairs and into my office.

I shut the door and locked it.

I went to the corner of the room as I started sobbing quietly.

I don’t know how long I was crying but I ended up falling asleep in the corner.

I found myself in the forest.

As soon as I saw my mom, I ran up to her and she caught me in her arms.

“Mom” I said as I started to cry and sob again.

My mom caressed my back soothingly as she whispered soothing words to me.

She held me in her arms protectively and I felt warm and safe in her embrace.

After I calmed down, we sat by a tree as I laid my head on my mom’s shoulder.

“Do you want to tell me what’s wrong?” she asked softly.

I sighed.

“Mom, does hiding the truth from my loved ones make me a bad person even though I was only trying to protect them?” I asked.

“Of course not, honey” my mom said.

“Then, why do I feel like I’m the worst person in the world right now?” I said.

My mom sighed.

“Because they don’t understand your intentions. They’re upset. But it will pass. You just need to communicate with them better” she told me.

I huffed.

“All I was trying to do was protect him. Why is he being a jerk about it?” I said and pouted like a child.

My mom laughed.

“Oh honey” she said as she chuckled.

I stayed with my mom for a while longer.

When I woke up, my back and bottom ache like crazy.

I shouldn’t have placed myself in the corner.

I could’ve atleast used my chair.

How stupid, Liviana.

I made my way out of my office and when I opened the door, I saw Luan sleeping just outside.

My brows furrowed as I looked at him.

So now he’s here.

I sighed and just decided to ignore him for now.

I was still upset at him and I could burst any moment.

I showered and got dressed in my room then I went to the the balcony to get down without anyone knowing.

I didn’t want to talk to anyone right now.

I was feeling a little too sensitive today.

It was weird.

I was never the emotional type.

But these days, I’ve been feeling like everything is just something I should cry about.

It was concerning.

I got on my motorbike and drove away from the pack house.

I made my way to school and contacted Katie.

When I got to school, Katie and I met up by the bleachers.

“Heyyy” she greeted cheerfully and I smiled.

“Hi” I greeted her back as she sat beside me.

“What’s up? You don’t look too good” she asked worried.

I gave her a small smile.

“It’s nothing. I just couldn’t get much sleep last night” I told her.

Katie sighed.

“Is something bothering you? Do you have any problem? Come on, tell me” she said.

I looked at her for a moment.

Should I tell her?

I mean, this is Katie after all.

I can always trust her.

But will she understand?

I took a deep breath.

Then, I looked at Katie.

Fck it.

I started to tell Katie everything.

After I told Ketie everything, I sighed in relief.

The King is…here?

I needed to get it out of my chest badly.

I wanted atleast someone close to me to know what I was really going through because I was close to going mad.

After I told Katie everything, I sighed in relief.

I felt like something heavy was lifted up from me.

“Oh wow. That’s a lot to take in” Katie said.

I nodded.

Katie gave me a small smile as she hugged.

“I’m glad you were able to take that off of your chest. It’s all safe with me” she said with a smile.

I smiled as well.

“I know” I said.

“Now, since you’re so stressed out these days, come with me instead” she said and dragged me away.

“What? Where?” I asked confused.

“We’re skipping school to give you stress free day” she said and gave me a wink.

I looked at her stunned.

“Are you for real?” I asked her and she nodded vigorously.

“Absolutely” she said as she dragged me away.

Oh boy.

Katie dragged me to away from school and we took a bus to head somewhere.

I didn’t bother complain.

I knew I needed this too.

We ended up going to all sorts of places.

We ate here and there.

We even went to the mall and started window shopping.

It was almost dusk when we decided to go home.

We took the bus to get back to school and we both got on my bike.

I dropped off Katie at her house.

“Thank you for today, Katie” I told her with a smile.

“What are besties are for” she said with a giggle.

“Be careful on your way home. I’ll see you again soon” she said and gave me a k**s on the cheek.

Katie waved me goodbye as I drove away.

I made my way back to the pack house although I would’ve preferred staying with Katie longer.

But I knew I couldn’t keep avoiding everyone.

I arrived at the pack house just before dark.

As soon as I parked my motorbike, Luan came bursting out of the front door.

My brows furrowed at him as he looked at me.

I got off my bike as he made his way to me.

“Where were you?” he asked with a frown.

I raised my brow at him.

I felt so annoyed just by looking at him.

“You just left in the morning without a notice and you weren’t at school the whole day. What were you doing?” he asked in a serious tone.

I chuckled in disbelief.

“I don’t know. Maybe I was out replaceing some other men to hang out with” I said and he growled at me.

Luan’s eyes glowed green and I knew both he and his wold are not pleased with my false statement.

“Don’t play with me, Liviana. Where did you head off to and who were you with?” he asked in a dangerous tone.

I looked at him straight in the eyes.

“You’re annoying” I said and walked away from him.

“Liviana!” he growled as he grabbed me.

“Let me go!” I growled back.

“No. We’re going to talk this out properly” he said and I glared at him.

“Why would I—” I was about to say but stopped when someone mind linked me.

“Alpha! There’s an emergency by the gate!” Alex mind linked me.

My brows furrowed as I yanked back my arm from Luan.

“What is it?” I replied.

There was a moment of silence.

“Alex?” I called out.

“The King is here” he replied and I stopped breathing.

The King is…here?
