Alpha Queen
Chapter 98

Liviana’s POV

“I…I love you” I finally said and looked at Luan.

Luan looked shocked as he teared up and a smile formed on his lips.

“You don’t know how long I waited for you to say that” he said and a tear fell from his eye as he cupped my face and pulled me in for a k**s.

Then, when we pulled away, Luan placed his forehead on mine.

“I love you so much” he said with a smile.

I smiled.

We hugged each other as we continued to watch the beautiful sun set.

“A son” I suddenly said.

Luan looked at me confused.

I gulped.

“I’d want a son for our first born” I told him.

A teasing smile crept on Luan’s face as I looked away in embarrassment.

Luan held me by the chin as he made me meet his eyes.

“Sounds good to me” he said and placed a k**s on my forehead.

Then, I placed my head on his shoulder as we looked at the sea.

“You said first born. Does that mean we can have more children?” Luan asked teasingly.

“I want our child to have a sibling. It’s no fun being an only child” I answered honestly.

“Good point. That’s definitely a yes for me” he said mischievously.

“I’d want to have a daughter too. I bet she’d look like a mink version of you. I just hope he isn’t a boy magnet as well” Luan said an

I chuckled.

“I am not a boy magnet” I defended.

“Oh yes you are” he said.

“No I’m not” I argued.

“Yes you are” he urged.

“No I’m—“

“Livi, Ellie is gone. We can’t replace her” El suddenly mind linked me.

I tensed up as I got up.

“What’s wrong?” Luan asked worried as he stood up as well.

“It’s El” I said.

“What happened?” I mind linked El.

“Mom left her in the playroom but when she came back, she was no longer there. We tried to search for her inside and outside the house but nothing. She’s gone, Livi. It’s like she vanished in thin air” he replied.

My heart sank.

“We’ll get there as soon as we can. Let Edmond dispatch all the guards and warriors to search” I commanded.

“Okay” El replied and we cut the link.

“What happened?” Luan asked.

“Ellie’s gone. She…she disappeared” I said as my whole body shook in fear.

Luan held me by the shoulders.

“We’ll go back and replace her” he said and I nodded.

Luan pulled me to the car but I pulled him back.

“It’ll take longer to go back in a car. We need to shift and make a run for it” I suggested and he nodded.

We shifted in a hidden space and then we made a run for it until we found the woods and started to go through there.

We ran as fast as we can.

And I sensed that something was very wrong.

How can Ellie disappear like that when she’s inside the pack house?

I highly doubt she can get out without anyone noticing.

If she’s not in the vicinity either, where is she?

It didn’t make sense.

Unless someone was behind it.

Someone who had a plan.

But who could it be?

And why would they target a mere child?

Is it someone who had a grudge on Edmond or Theresa or even El?

But who?

It took about an hour for us to reach the pack house.

Luan and I entered from the back as we changed into some clothes.

“Livi!” Theresa came up to me as she sobbed.

I hugged her in my arms as I caressed her back.

“We’ll replace her. We’ll replace Ellie” I assured her as I guided her to sit down.

“El, what’s the update?” I mind linked El.

“Nothing, Livi. We haven’t found her” he replied.

I sighed.

“Stay here and wait if Ellie comes back, okay? We’ll help the others in searching for her” I calmly told Theresa and she nodded.

Luan and I got out.

“I’ll search in my human form. Let’s split up” I told Luan and he nodded.

We both went to different directions.

“Amaris, I need your help on this” I mind linked Amaris.

“I got you” she replied as my eye glowed gold and my senses heightened.

I began my search for Ellie.

“Ellie!” I called out hoping she’d hear me.

“Ellie!” I kept calling out.

Goddess, please.

“Ellie, are you here?” I shouted.

Please.

I looked around and I froze in place when I realized where I was.

It was this place.

The same place I was in my dream.

Don’t tell me…

It’s tonight?

I gulped.

Then, I heard the rustling from the bushes.

Fck.

This can’t be.

I can’t.

I ran and every wolf in the bushes came after me.

Sht.

I shifted to my wolf.

If I couldn’t beat them in my human for in my dream, maybe I can do it in my wolf form.

We reached a clearing and I stopped to face them.

The royal warriors circled me as I stayed on alert.

I’ve seen this before.

I should know what’s about to happen.

One wolf came after another as they lunged at me the same time like in my dream.

I dodged them all and was able to grab one and quickly finished it biting onto its neck and ripping its throat out.

Like in my dream, they were fast.

Well trained palace warriors.

I managed to dodge another 3 and then caught one by its leg and I threw it to the 2 that was about to attack me.

It wasn’t as hard to keep up with them as I already knew their attack plan.

Changing into my wolf was a good idea.

I brought down about 2 more wolves while the others kept attacking.

Unlike in my dream, I was able to avoid the wolf that bit onto my shoulder.

I had an advantage and I took it as I slashed it on its stomach and killed it.

But them, 2 more wolves got a hold of me as they bit into my right and left leg.

I growled and howled in pain.

But then, I felt someone land on my back.

I tried to get out of their hold but it was no use.

I felt something sting my neck and soom enough, my whole body weakened.

The wolves let me go as I fell to the ground and me eyes went blurry.

No.

This can’t happen.

I need to fight.

I tried to use what’s left of my energy to stand up but it wasn’t enough.

I could no longer move.

I felt numb and in pain.

I whimpered.

Then, I saw Luan’s uncle as he held something in his hand.

He had something in his hand and suddenly, everything started to become a blur.

I finally realized what it was.

Wolf’s bane.

“Goodnight, kid” he said and I blacked out.

I couldn’t stop it.

It was inevitable.

I was bound to get caught.

But why?

Shouldn’t I be saved?

I can’t die.

I haven’t fulfilled my destiny.

But why isn’t it going my way no matter hoe hard I tried?

Why couldn’t I change what was supposed to happen?

Why did I fail?

Or is this really my fate?

To suffer.

I don’t know how long I was out.

But I fluttered my eyes open.

I need to do something.

I need to get out of here.

It was a dark room and there was only a little light that came from a torch in the room.

Exactly like the one in my dream.

“You’re awake” someone said from the dark.

I knew who that was.

Benjamin Haymes.

The devil’s right hand.

“Had a good sleep?” he said with a creepy smile on his face.

Just like in my dream.

“No. This chair is awfully uncomfortable. Couldn’t you have provided something better for your nephew’s mate atleast?” I said with a smirk of disbelief.

He frowned at me.

“Aren’t you going to ask where you are?” he said.

“Only for you to say what? That I’m at the king’s mercy? Oh please” I said and he looked at me in shock.

His brows furrowed at me.

“You’re awfully brave for a kid. Do you even realize what situation you are in right now?” he said as he eyed me.

“I actually do but if you think I’d tremble in fear, you’re mistaken. I’d be more threatened by a cat than by some people who use petty tricks to kidnap someone from their territory” I said with a chuckle of disbelief.

He glared at me.

“What did you do to that child?” I said in a dangerous tone.

Then, he smirked.

“The child is the least of your problems now. You should worry about yourself” he said and I growled at him.

He looked at me with fiery eyes as he made his way to me and held me by the neck.

“I will not tolerate this kind of behavior from a mere low life and specially not a she-wolf like yourself” he said angrily.

I smirked.

“You’d be shocked to know who you’re calling a low life” I said as I struggled to talk with his hold on my neck.

He laughed.

Then, suddenly the metal doors behind him opened and he immediately let me go.

The devil has arrived.

King Luis.

“What a pleasant sight” the King said as he looked at me.

I chuckled and he looked at me with his brows furrowed.

“I thought you weren’t the type to stoop this low to win. But I guess, you were desperate indeed” I said with a smirk.

He glared at me as he approached me and held me by the neck.

“You have a sharp tongue for someone who is about to die” he hissed at me.

I gave him a lopsided smile.

“You can’t possibly think I’m going to let you take what’s actually mine, right?” I said.

His hold on me tightened and I started to feel a little out of breath.

“Why can’t I? I already took your parents after all” he said with a smug smile.

I glared at him.

“After all, I was the one who let the council know about your mother and father’s affair and watched them get hunted down” he said.

The color on my face drained.

“What?!” I growled as he let me go.

He looked down at me with a smirk on his face.

“You heard me. I was the reason for it all” he said proudly.

He was the one who told the council about my parents.

He was the reason they got captured.

The reason why I lost them.

I saw red.
