Alpha´s curvy bullied human mate -
Chapter 112: Past and future
Penelope
"Shouldn't we wait until the ceremony when I'm presented as Luna?" I asked nervously.
I was a human who had been kicked out of the pack, I had been made to believe that I didn't belong here. And suddenly I was not only the Luna of this territory, but now I would be in charge of one of the most important packs in the region. Crimson Fangs... this name had always seemed terrible to me. The mere mention of it caused fear and disgust, it made the wolves tremble just to thing about Karl and Marco.
But that was all in the past now, how could I change everything that had happened? What can I actually do?
"No, my love, that's really not necessary. You are the leader in your own right, no matter if you are my mate or Moonstone Luna. Besides, it was a direct request from the king, and if we are going to take this territory, we need to do it as soon as possible. They are leaderless, there could be a revolt and someone could take advantage of the situation " Nate says as we walk towards the forest.
"I just don't know if I'm the right one, I know I said yes, but..." I tell him and he stops me and takes my face in his hands, stroking my cheekbones and looking at me with love.
"The territory... doesn't matter. I want you to know that. I know we wolves have a bad reputation for only caring about our packs getting bigger and marking a territory and claiming it's ours. In this case, it goes beyond that, even beyond taking territory from an enemy. It's not conquest, Penelope... it's caution. Crimson Fangs has gone through bad times and its members have suffered... we don't want them to suffer anymore" he says, and I understand what he means. "The members of the pack... the rogues, the humans."
"That's right. The rogues you freed, who went over there and took the pack and rescued their mates and the prisoners... they did what they could, but they are not leaders. They are weak and have suffered much. Everybody wants a change, of course it's going to cost and there's going to be resistance. You are the daughter of an Alpha... and the Moon Goddess does not make mistakes," he says, and his words are so true that they touch my heart.
"I would never think ill of you, my Alpha...I know you want the best for everyone. My wise and beautiful mate... "I say, standing on my toes and kissing him.
"I would love to continue this kiss, you don't know how much. But your father wants to have a little meeting," he says, and takes my hand.
"Pumpkin..." my father said, hugging me and kissing my forehead. I could see that we were at one end of the forest, in a place I knew very well.
My mother's grave, where I used to come when I was little, accompanied by my brothers, just to tell them about her. Not far from the supposed attack of the rogues, that day when everything changed. "Penny!" I heard a voice, and Marianne came running to me.
"My beautiful friend!" I said, hugging her. My brothers had been in town, making sure everything was okay and arranging for her to move into the pack.
"I thought it would take you a while to get here..." I say. Change was hard, I remembered how tough it had been for me to leave my life in Belle Springs and come here.
"You weren't there anymore and the town has changed a lot, of course I'll still go, but my life is here now..." she says, looking lovingly at the twins and taking their hands. She was completely in love with them, and they were madly in love with her.
"And you are more than welcome...you are already part of our family, we couldn't be happier," my father said, greeting her enthusiastically
"Thank you all for coming, so much has happened to have this small group of the most important people in my entire life... and I wanted to introduce you to my mate, your mother," he says.
A mate is always a mate... no matter what. And my mother would always be the mate of this wonderful man who picked us up in the middle of the forest and took care of us. He protected me even though I was another man's daughter.
"Linda...here are your children. Penny...has grown up so much and is now not only a beautiful, brave and spirited girl. But she also found her mate... he's our Alpha, Nathaniel. Don't think it was easy... he wasn't very good at first and took a while to replace the right way..." he says, and we all laugh.
Nate kisses my hand. Yes, we've been through a lot, we've learned, and it's all been worth it.
"She's pregnant too, and now she's the Luna of our pack. I promised you that I would keep our family together, and I've tried. We had our problems, but here we are all together, with you," he says, and I feel tears in my eyes. "The twins have also grown up and are the most important warriors in the pack, and they too have found a mate, a beautiful small girl like you," he says, shaking Marianne's hand.
"I promise to take care of them... they are wonderful men," my friend says, and Luke and Luther look at her adoringly.
"I'm sure they will be very happy. And of course I miss you...so much," he says, and I sob. We stand there for a while. It feels so good to be with him, to be close to my father.
"Come...I want to tell you something," he says as he leads me through the trees.
In the distance I can hear Nate, Marianne and my brothers talking at my mother's grave, telling little details of their lives and what to expect in the future.
"I know you have many doubts about your father..."
"My biological father... because you are my father in every way," I tell him, and he hugs me lovingly.
"Your mother... when I found her with you, she was in very bad shape. All she could tell me was that she had a violent boyfriend, Phin. She was very traumatized, and even though she felt the bond with me... she had a hard time trusting me. I don't blame her. In the beginning, she talked a lot about what had happened before and where she had been. She didn't want to stay at your grandmother's house because she was afraid Phin chased her," he says, and I understand all that. "And little by little you won her over..." I say and he smiles.
"Yes... she was so easy to love. And being in this pack, she felt safe because you were secure, and she knew I adored you. And she stopped talking about her previous boyfriend, of course you'll understand that for a werewolf it's not very happy to hear about that either," he says smiling.
"What I want to tell you is that she didn't know he was a werewolf, let alone an Alpha. When she saw me in my wolf form, she almost had a heart attack. She thought the whole thing was crazy or a cult. But over time, I think she came to believe that Phin... was not a normal man. The monster... she usually refers him that way. She knew he wanted to kill her, and she thought it was because she was pregnant...I think she really didn't know what she was getting into" he explains. "From what I've talked to Nate, from what little Marco has explained...Phineas wasn't too happy about having a human mate, even if he couldn't fight the bond. Maybe... he never took Linda to the pack, and she didn't know what it was all about. She must have just seen a man who was crazy about her..." I say, and he takes me by the shoulders and looks at me very attentively.
"Your mother must have feelings about Phineas... but I want you to know that the moment she found out she was pregnant with you, she made a difficult decision, she left everything. She left the man she was with and ran for her life. For both of your lives, you were her priority. Your mother never lied to you, never hid anything from you. We both had an idea that he might have been a werewolf, because she had a small mark... but it disappeared soon after. But never an Alpha. She didn't even know the name Crimson Fangs," he says, and I sigh.
"My mother was happy with you...I'm sure. You gave her back her life, her security, and you taught her the true meaning of love. Thank you," I say and see him crying.
"Whatever you replace in Crimson Fangs...I want you to know that you are not alone. That you will never be alone again, my baby girl. That pack is yours by right, and that's why you were given it, there is not mistake, and sure. There is important work to be done, and we will all help you," he says, and I sigh, thinking of all that is to come and feeling more and more secure in my destiny. It is time.
Luna, alpha, human, soon to be mother, mate, sister, daughter. But above all... a fighter. Someone who loves and is loved.
That was more than enough.
