Reins

The scent was getting stronger the more I followed but something seemed off It didn't have a rogue si I made sure to mask my scent I don't want them to take off before I got there.

Just as I reached the small area that was across from Autumn house but far enough in you wouldn't b two of my warriors standing there. Holding their hands up in a surrendering pose.

"Alpha,"

"How long have them been gone?" I asked dryly walking around kicking some of the stuff that laid aro "Not long Alpha, We heard someone talking on the phone then they all scattered,"

Squatting down I took a deep breath.

"These aren't rogues," I say to the two men.

"Yes Alpha, We discovered that their scent is wrong,"

Letting out a growl I stand up kicking the can that was laying on the ground.

"Alpha what is it you want us to do?"

"Go back to your post keep watch I'm sure with how sloppy this spot is they will show back up, But do "Yes Alpha," They both bow walking away.

I walked back out getting in my truck I took off heading for the pack house. Pulling in the drive stoppi "Keaton!" I called through the link.

"Yes Alpha!"

"My office Now! Grab Matt on the way I need him here as well!"

Pushing the door open I rush to my office

Going to my desk I sit down on placing my head in my hands.

I need to come up with a way to protect her I'm pretty sure those are scouts from her old pack. Just then I hear my door open.

I glaced up seeing Keaton and Matt standing there.

"Alpha," I hear them say.

"Sit down both of you,"

"What's going on?" I hear Matt ask while he sits in the chair in front of my desk.

Letting out a groan I pick my head up.

"They weren't rogues that followed you here," I say to him and I see his face go blank then it must have dawn on him and he suddenly goes pale.

"Who is it then?" Keaton asked looking between Matt and myself.

"Their scouts," I say keeping a eye on Matt I can see him mind is working and I see the fear for his daughter.

"Scouts? But who would," He didn't even finish the words when he realized who it would be.

"But how? You said they followed you then they must have known where you guys where before you left," He says looking at Matt.

Matt takes a breath then closes his eyes his chest is heaving up and down.

"I knew they were closing in on us," He says while opening his eyes.

"They must have followed from the day we left the house, It must have been them at the hotel that night," He tells us

"Well we know their here so that means he knows as well, Now we need to figure out how to keep her safe I know you guys have been keeping her from the truth, but right now the best way I think we need to tell her and move your family to the pack house were she will be safe,"

I say to him.

"Yeah but how we gonna tell her? it's not like we can just say Hey your a werewolf and so is you whole family! oh and by the way some crazy a*s man is after you!" Keaton says while throwing his hands up. Which earn a growl from both myself and her father. "Sorry," He muttered

"Look I don't know how to go about this, I have been keeping her hidden for so long I don't want to scare her, She has over come alot with her disability She don't even remember the accident she only knows what we told her,"

"Well I don't think just telling her would work," Keaton says

I suddenly had a idea pop in my head.

"Her birthday!" I say out loud.

They two look at me.

"You guys are having a birthday party for her this weekend?"

"Yes," He says but has a confused look.

"Why don't we have it here, We will tell her then have a few shift so she can see them either way it will be a lot but to actually see it may help," I explain to them

"That may work," Keaton says while he glances at Matt who you could see was weight the options.

"Matt we need to do something and quick I can't protect her if she's not here,"

He lets out a sigh.

"Alright, Let me tell my wife and Zach so they know what's going on, But what are we gonna tell her as to why the party's here and not at home? She already knows we were planning it," "Why don't we make it a surprise party?"

Keaton spoke.

"Let her think it's still happing at your place but surprise her with it here,"

Nodding his head I can see he agrees with him.

"Friday night then?" He asked looking to me.

"Friday it is," I say back to him.

Alpha Darrel

I was becoming restless it was only a few days till her birthday. My scouts have been keeping me informed on the situation and I must say I'm not happy.

When they called me today telling me that that so called Alpha dropped her at home the thought of him being near her made my blood boil.

I didn't even care that he almost caught them, Idiots they are they should have been more alert. But no them morons didn't even mask their scent to keep from being found.

Slamming my hand down on my desk I stood walking over to my cabinet opening it pulled the bottle of whiskey out pouring it into a glass downing it in one gulp.

Just as I began to pour another there was a knock.

"Come in" I growled I wasn't in the mood for anyone.

"Alpha," I hear my beta stutter out.

"What!" I finish pouring my drink then walking back to my desk.

"I have the Mr Roberts here,"

"Bring him in!" I yelled at him.

He stepped in opening the door stepping to the side I see a man walk in.

"Alpha Darrel," He greets me but I could here the dislike in his voice.

"Mr Roberts," I say coldly to him I hold my glass swirling the liquor around in it.

"What can I do for you Alpha?"

"I need you to bring someone to me, but you have to do it without anyone noticing for if you are caught you will be on your own,"

"I'm gonna need information about the target,"

I wave my hand to my Beta he walks forward handing him a fill.

Opening it he reads over it flipping through the pages he stops at the last one.

He looks up over the folder.

"This person is in Alpha Reins territory,"

"Yes is that a problem,"

"You do realize who he is and his pack is something you should not be trying to steal from,"

Slamming the glass on the desk I stand up.

"I'm not stealing anything that didn't belong to me in the first place! I want my property back!"

"And this girl" he looks back to the paper, "Autumn" He says her name."is your property"

"Yes she is she is my mate!" I growl at him.

"Well I highly doubt that but what ever makes you sleep at night, But if you want me to go against Alpha Reins then it's gonna cost you," He says while closing the folder tucking it up his arm. "What ever the price I will pay it!"

"Good, Cause it will be a million dollars,"

"Fine," I grit out.

"Good doing business with ya Alpha," He turns walking out shitting the door.
