Reins

God, what was I thinking how was I gonna explain this?

"Keaton," I call through the link.

"Yes Alpha,"

"Come to my office please, and get Matt as well,"

"Right away Alpha,"

I sit down at my desk rubbing my temples. How could I lose control like that I probably scare her half to death just when she was relaxing around me? I hear a knock.

"Come in,"

The door opens in walk Keaton and Matt along with Zach.

"Sit down guys," I say my voice sounding defeated.

"Alpha you alright?" Keaton asked me.

"No, I think I screwed up with Autumn,"

"Autumn? Is she alright?" Matt said sounding worried.

"She wasn't upset when I spoke to her a few minutes ago she said you told her you would explain later," Zach says I see Matt look at them back to me.

"What's going on?" Matt asked again

I got a call saying someone was speaking to Autumn at the mall Oscar didn't like how he was acting, so I lost control and drove to the mall I found them, Um I kinda took her out of the mall and drove back here." Upon hearing someone was talking to her Matt sat up at attention.

"Who was it?" He asked.

"Oscar didn't know him but he was a werewolf even hearing who their Alpha was didn't seem to shake him."

"Did Oscar say anything else about this guy?" Keaton asked

"No, not really I didn't exactly give him time to say anything to me,"

"Why don't we have him come in here maybe he and I can go through something information," Keaton suggested.

"That's fine but first I need help with Autumn, I'm not exactly sure how to explain this all to her should I just wait for the party tonight or tell her now?"

"I'd say wait," Zach said.

"She wasn't upset afterward so let's just stay with the plan and let her replace out tonight," He said while looking at his dad

Matt nodded his head.

"I agree with Zach let's just stay with the plan, but I want to help with looking for this guy," Matt said he then looked to Keaton and Keaton gave him a nod. "Alright, Keaton you and Matt get with Oscar Zach go ahead and finish helping get things ready for tonight,"

"Yes Alpha," They say together.

"Oh and Matt we need to get you all inducted into the pack,"

"Yes Alpha," He says

There was a knock on the door Keaton went over to open the door. Oscar walks in he stops and gives a small bow.

"You request me Alpha?"

"Well actually Keaton and Matt need you but this is to stay in my office," I tell him.

"Yes Sir," He says turning towards Keaton.

"Beta Keaton," He says walking over to his desk.

"I'm gonna go help," Zach says standing up.

"Alpha," He says bowing just a bit then turning and walking out of the office.

I picked up the papers laying on my desk looking over them I needed to keep my mind busy right now.

"Roberts," I heard Oscar say with that name I dropped my paper.

"What did you say?"

They all turned to look at me.

"Roberts, that's what the guy said his name was,"

"Dam it!" I slammed my hand standing from my desk. I started to pace back and forth,

"Alpha?" Keaton called me.

I didn't answer him I just paced my wolf had become angry causing a growl to tumble out.

"Reins!" I heard my name causing me to stop and look at the person. It was Keaton he stood in front of me.

He lowered his eyes.

"Sorry Alpha but I couldn't get your attention,"

Taking a breath I pat his shoulder.

"It's alright Keaton, If anyone can call me by my name it's you,"

"Let's sit down shall we," I walked over to the sitting area sitting down in the chair.

The others followed.

"Alpha what's going on? Do you know that name?" Keaton asked.

"Yes, I do he's a mercenary he does all types of off-the-book work, Alphas have hired him for the dirtiest work that's needed if he's he I bet money that crazy Alpha hired him," Matt growled at the mention of that name.

"Sorry," he says.

"It's alright I feel the same right, but we need to be smart that man is a snake he's sneaking he likes to hide in the shadows and wait, if he made contact with her that's not like him," "What should we do?" Oscar asked he had worry written all over his face.

"Autumn can't go home she and the rest of your family will have to stay here,"

I say to Matt.

"How will I explain that?" He asked.

"I can have Kelly ask her to stay over, We will say it's a sleepover to go along with her party," Oscars says to us.

"That may work she hasn't really had any friends to do those things with," Matt tells us.

"We will need to tighten security around the pack double the patrol anything and I mean anything that seems off they are to let me know immediately," I tell Keaton.

"On it Alpha," He jumps up running out of the office.

"What can I do?" Oscar asked.

"You guys are with her the most, don't let her alone keep your eyes open for anything,"

"Yes Alpha, I'll go update the guys now,"

He stands walking out.

Matt sat there lost in his thoughts.

"Matt," I called him he didn't look at me you could see the worry he held.

"Matt!" I called him again this time a little louder causing him to jump a little.

"Yes Alpha sorry,"

"It's alright I understand you're worried but trust me I won't let anything happen to her,"

I see him sigh as he hung his head placing his hands against his forehead.

"When will this stop?" I wasn't sure if he was talking to himself or me.

"Nothing will happen to her here, I will protect her till my last breath,"

He looks up at me.

"I believe you Alpha, You and your pack have been good to us, especially Autumn she has friends here and I can see they care for her in the short time we have been here, I just want her to be happy and safe," I place my hand on his shoulder.

"She will be,"
