Chapter 71

Autumn

My heart broke when I walked into the room seeing my father laying there hooked to different machines.

Mom sat in the chair next to the bed holding dads hand as she slept with her head laying on the edge.

Slowly I made my way over to my mom laying my hand on her shoulder. She sat up startled looking at dad then she realized it wasn't him touching her. Looking up to see who was there her eyes got wide.

"Autumn!" Jumping up she wrapped her arms around me pulling me into a hug.

Hugging her back as tears were close to falling.

I felt her shoulders shake she was crying breaking apart she cupped my cheeks.

"I missed you, I'm so happy your back!"

She mouthed slowly mom didn't know yet that my hearing had returned.

Placing my hands over her's

"Mom I have so much to tell you, but first I need to help Dad,"

She frowned a little at my words.

"Autumn? What I don't understand?"

"I'll explain it later Mom but first I need to help Dad,"

Letting go of Mom I walked to the other side of the bed.

"Gem, What do I do?"

"Remove the bandage from his wound, he needs to be unhooked as well from the machines,"

I reached for the bandage just as I began pulling it off Mom grabbed my hand.

"Autumn no," She shook her head at me.

"Mom trust me please,"

Reins walked to Mom he placed a hand on her arm she looked at him.

"It's okay Helen, trust her wolf knows what needs to be done,"

"Her what?" She looks at me "Your wolf?"

"Like I said Mom ill explain later but please Dad needs my help. Rein's dad needs to be unhooked as well,"

"Alright," He says as he reaches over pulling the tabs off of Dad.

I pulled the bandage off dads chest letting out a gasp at the sight of his wound.

The wound wasn't healing he had black lines swirling all around it as the edges were grey looking.

"Silver," Gem says as I finished removing the bandage.

Hearing the beeping from the machines Reins moved to the door to keep the nurses out as he didn't want no one seeing or knowing what was going on. "Alright, Gem now what,"

"Place your hand over the wound s**t your eyes focus on your dad then repeat the words.

I give you my strength my love my loyalty

Take it all and wake and return to us,"

Lifting my hang extending it forward as it trembled a little placing my hand over his chest.

Shutting my eyes I heard Gem again.

"Picture your father healthy and happy,"

Letting myself remember my dad as he stood hugging my mother or playing with Zach and me.

"Yes, Autumn that's it, now say the words,"

I began speaking the words she told me as I neared the last word I felt a surge of power run through my body I sucked a breath in at the rush I felt.

"Keep repeating the words," Gem said as she started saying them with me.

Warmth spread through my hand it was becoming so hot like I stuck my hand in a flame.

"It's working Autumn keep going,"

Saying the words with more force as if I was trying to pull everything from him.

My canines elongated my voice becoming deeper when I tilted my head back letting out a roar that I didn't know I had in me.

Reins

I watched in awe as my mate began to chant words. The power radiating off her was enough to make any wolf submit. Even her mother took a step back then I watched as her hair turned to silver almost white as a dim bluish light glowed from the hand she had held over her father's chest.

She began saying the words louder as her voice became deeper she lifted her head letting out a roar that shook the whole room.

As soon as she was stopped her head dropped down along with her hand she stood there wobbling back and forth just as I went to move towards her she hit the floor.

Moving quickly I reached out grabbing her so she wouldn't smack the floor. Her mom cried out calling her name running around the bed kneeling she brushed the strands of hair out of her face.

Her hair was still a silver color I lifted her eyes lids to see if they were the crystal color when her wolf surfaced or if she spoke to her.

Hearing the small gasp I looked over at her mom.

"Her eyes,"

"It's her wolf."

I scooped her up walking to the small couch laying her down.

Just then the door swung open as Zach Oscar and Kelly came busting through.

"Alpha what happen?"

Oscar asked as he noticed Autumn on the couch.

He went straight to her kneeling next to her.

Letting out a growl he lowered his head sliding back away from her.

"Sorry Alpha, I meant no disrespect,"

"Go replace the doctor,"

"Yes Alpha," He stood scurrying out of the room.

Sitting down on the edge of the cushion I watched as her hair returned to her normal color running my fingers down her cheek I see her forehead scrunch up a little. Her face felt super hot as a werewolf we are normally warm but she was beginning to have a small bead of sweat build up on her forehead.

"Alpha the doctor is here,"

Looking over I see him standing there.

"Alpha what happen?"

She passed out she got to the touch."

I stood so he could move next to her he began checking her I didn't even look back at her dad as I was so worried about Autumn.

He stood after he checked her.

"She just asleep Alpha, she will be fine,"

"Thanks now go check on him,"

I said pointing my thumb over my shoulder.

Bowing a little he turned walking over.

"Um Alpha,"

I spin to look at him but what I saw took me completely surprised.
