Chapter 93

Reins

I had just reached Autumn when I heard someone yelling through the link.

"Alpha prisoner has escaped!"

Keaton heard it too snapping his head in my direction.

Giving him a nod he spun around walking out.

"Reins what's wrong?" She was standing in front of me with a look of worry on her face.

"There's a problem in the cells with a prisoner,"

I knew she would be able to tell if I was lying. Usually Gem show more of a presence for that but I didn't want to lie to her about anything and my gut was already telling me who had escaped. "There's more I know there is,"

"I'm sure there is but I don't know till I go check it out, I'll come back and replace you once I sort everything out," "Can't I come with you?"

"I would rather you stay here I don't know what's all going on and I feel better with you out of harms way," Nodding her head she kisses my cheek.

"Alright ill stay here with Dad and Mom but let me know once you're done, I'll be worried the whole time,"

Kissing her forehead I give her a nod turning to walk out I picking my pace up once in out the room so Autumn doesn't realize it's a bigger issue.

"Alpha I need you down here!" Keaton's voice pops in my head.

"I'm on my way,"

I see the guard at the door when he sees me coming he pulls the door moving down the steps I can hear voices There is a lot of commotion going on most the prisoners that were here were mostly rogues they were yelling and growls.

Not paying any attention to them I move to we're I heard Keaton voice rounding the corner he stood there with two guards.

"Alpha," they bowed their heads.

"What's going on?"

"It's Rachel she is gone,"

"WHAT!" I roared out the guards shrinked back as the bars rattled.

Looking at the two guards I see now they look pale sweating and breathing hard.

"What happen?"

"There was a commotion down the hall, I went to check it out when I got there no one was there then I felt a stinging in my neck before I could do anything I blacked out."

The first guard explained.

"When he didn't return I went looking but ended up the same way a sudden pinch and I was out,"

Stepping forward I grabbed the one by his chin tipping his head so I could see his neck. There was a small dot of blood on his one side with a small red area. Looking to the second one he tipped his head showing me the side of his neck and he had the same marks. Moving back I look at the cell that was empty.

Stepping in I glance around don't know what I was expecting to replace but I did it anyway hoping for something.

That's when I pick up the faint smell.

Feeling rage building up I should have known.

"Bring me the council members now!"

I growled out at no one individually but all three turned running out. I just good there hands on my hips head tipped back looking up to the ceiling.

I knew telling Autumn was definitely needed now plus now I'm gonna have to put some serious protection on her I know she's not gonna like it but I'm not taking any chances.

Turning I walked out the cell heading back out the dungeon.

"Reins is everything alright?"

Her soft voice pops in my head smiling at the sound of her.

"Yeah, I'm on my way back to my office,"

"Don't lie to me, I can feel your emotions your anger hit me full force,".

Sighing at my stupid ness at forget to block it I became angry so quick I didn't even think.

"Sorry love, there's just a issue with a prisoner I will explain everything later I just need to handle this right now,"

"Alright I trust you, I know you will tell me when your ready, I just wanted to check on you,"

"This is why in love you, your to sweet,"

"Stop, I am not," I could hear the laughter in her voice knowing she was probably blushing.

"I'll stay here with my parents for awhile,"

"Okay, love I'll try and not be to long,"

"It's okay handle what you need let me know if you need anything,"

Feeling the link close I figured she was busy with her parents she seems even closer to her father after what happen to him. She was so heart broken when she heard of his condition I don't want to ever see that look on her face again.

So I definitely need to replace Rachel again and this time she won't get a sympathy from me, she played me once as a Alpha you always have the instinct to help your pack members but she burnt her last straw to this pack when I replace her I will end her life. Autumn

I knew lying to Reins was wrong but I also knew what was happening. It wasn't to hard to figure out that Rachel has escaped and I'm pretty sure that council member helped her. Gem picked up on the way he kept looking at her you could clearly see the lust and the want in his eyes. Also the very faint smell of his arsoaul was there too.

I had left my parents room a little while ago I knew if I told Reins I was staying there he wouldn't put a guard on me I had sent Oscar and them away so they wouldn't be able to follow me,

I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing but Gem ensured me she did so I trusted her and followed her lead.

Poking my head out the back door I looked to see if anyone was close by when I didn't see anything I stepped out walking at a fast pace I crossed the back yard making the tree line. "What Now Gem?"

"Now we shift and track them two down and kill them,"

Gulping at her words she was angry and I didn't blame her but the thought of taking someone life I don't think I could handle that.

"How about we track them and then let Reins know where to replace her, I don't think I could take a life Gem even though she hurt me I'm just not like that,"

"Not what I really had in mind but we will start there now let's shift let me do my thing and before you know it we will have them,"

Nodding my head at her words I stood there looking down at the ground.

"Just think of what we look like and we will shift,"

"It's going to hurt again,"

"Yes, but each time we short the pain will lessen I will try and take some of it from you but if we are going to replace them we need to hurry,"

"Okay," Was all I said as I closed my eyes thinking of the time I saw her sitting on the meadow howeling.

Feeling the burning and the first pop I wanted to scream out loud but I knew Reins and them would hear me.

More popping and cracking sounds with some pain not like the first time but it was still painful. I whimpered and dropped to the ground from exhaustion. "You did good," Gem voice held so much pride in it.

Opening my eyes everything looked so different through her eyes.

"You ready?" She asked.

"As ready as I will be,"

With that she leaps up and takes off with a small yip sound she ran through the woods.
