Chloe's

POV:

I picked up another bag of blood and gulped down the content of it. I was going for the fifth one in less than twenty minutes, when Lily smacked my hand away. "What," I whined, my lips forming into a pout.

She shook her head at me, clearly struggling to hide her amusement. "You know, when Marcus had told me to get lots and lots of blood, now I understood what he was talking about," she said, her eyes taking over me slowly untill she met eyes again. "What is going on? Whatever did I miss?"

"Nothing!" I huffed, folding my arms over my chest. That had been the same questions my brothers had been asking me for all the three days I spent in the cave. Only my grandfather did not seem to have a concern with my new craving. "Why does everyone keep asking me that?!"

Lily sighed. "It is because we notice great changes in you," she paused, giving me another look. "It is like someone else borrowed your body and is using it."

I shrugged, using the time she was distracted and picked up another bag of blood and started sipping on it. I nearly jumped out of my skin when Lily yelled at me like I had stolen her favourite piece of candy. Yeesh! I don't like her! You would have to agree with me that it was far better off when we were not talking.

"Did I not ask you not to take any more blood? If you finish all these, which one will remain for later? Do I look like a blood manufacturing machine to you?!"

And to imagining that she had been begging for my forgiveness some how many minutes ago. I should never have forgiven her, I should have just kept acting up even though I was no longer mad at her.

I kept sipping on my blood the whole time, giving her hard glares which she returned even harder. "I do not like you at all," I muttered under my breath.

Lily who would normally have a retort for me, did not have one today. A look of hurt crossed her face and her face fell. She lowered her eyes and got back to filling up the sachets of blood.

Maybe I have lost my friendship for good? Because no matter how we tried to act like everything was rosy and nothing had changed between us, it still did not stop the lurking tension. The feeling made me want to cry and surprisingly, I lost my appetite.

Putting down the bag of half drunk blood, I rose to my feet and Lily rose with me. I stole a glance at her to see that she was staring at me with worry filled eyes. "I will be leaving now, thank you for the blood..." She nodded. "I will personally come to deliver the rest of them and I will get to see you?" She asked, eyes filled with hope.

I nodded back, turning away and marching out of the door. When I saw the tall black gates of Royal house, I felt reluctant to move. My legs suddenly turned heavy and I began to drag them towards the house. "Welcome, Luna," the guard at the gate greeted with a bow.

I was not in a good mood at all, so I walked past him without replying. I had not gone up to five steps, when I stopped and turned around. "Is the Alpha back home?"

"No Luna," he replied with a shake of his head. "He has not come home since he left but the others had returned."

I nodded slowly, turning around and walking back into the house. I got into the shower immediately, washing off all the three days of going without a proper wash up. I washed out my blonde waves, lifting my face up so the water splashed aggressively on it and cascaded down the other parts of my body.

It had to be about an hour and a half, before I turned off the tap and stepped out of the shower. I grabbed one large pink towel, then a smaller one and wrapped it around my head to help drain out the water from my hair.

"Hmm," I sighed, dropping down into the chair in front of the large wall mirror we had. I pulled out the first drawer, pulling out a pair of body lotion and oil, poured some into my palm and started to massage the mixture into my skin. I rubbed gently untill I was sure that it had blended perfectly, then I went into the closet to get some clothes.

A black pair of knickers and a wool pink sweater was what I wore and a long knee length socks that my dad had once gotten for me. I stared at the socks for a while, then sighed. I still missed them terribly but at least I felt less guilty now that I had managed to avenge them. It was now left with my grandfather and I was still trying to get him cornered before I attacked. I will make him pay dearly for all of the pain he put them through, all because of his selfishness!

I slumped back on the bed, placing my hands behind my head as I stared up at the ceiling. I thought of ways to punish Marcus for throwing false accusations at me in such a cruel way. How was I supposed to forgive that kind of man? Why had he reacted that way? Was he because he was in anyway in love with Cara?

That was some very important question and I needed some answers. He had to explain why he would treat his wife like that, just because he suspected I had killed his past lover. Was he not the one who was supposed to protect me? I turn over to my side, my hands adjusting to support my head. My eyes fell on a book on the table and I could not remember seeing it there before. I got up and went to pick it up, dropping back on the bed into a sitting position. I flipped open the book, slowly flipping through the pages. Just as I turned another page, a piece of paper fell on the ground.

I dumped the book on the bed, picking the paper up from the ground and I flipped it open. When I started to read through, was when I understood it had to be the note that that snake; Vodos, had slipped into Cara's coat.

He had expressed himself in the person of Edwin, saying how he was going to shred me limb by limb and Marcus was to come watch the show or better still, he could send him my dead body as another surprise present.

Such an idiot! He really did underrate me, did he not? I was quite disappointed that I did not have the chance to torture him to his death, it would have been a terrific experience!

I heard the front door open and quickly jumped back on the bed. I sensed his presence in the house and by the sounds of his footsteps, he was heading towards our room. I had nothing in me, neither wolf nor demon wanted be around him. I grabbed a pillow and teleported into the next room.

I held my breath, waiting to hear when he would enter the bedroom. It did not take too long before he pushed open the other door and walked in.

"Baby?" I heard him call.

I rolled my eyes, plopping down on the bed. How to look him in the face after all what had happened, was another problem on its own. I just wanted to be away from him untill I knew I was ready to forgive him...

My eyes started to droop and soon, I was progressing into wonderland and maybe, I heard the door to my room open and a certain someone walked in before I finally submitted to the unconsciousness.

Next morning: Did I even bother stretching? My eyes fluttered open like someone had actually woken me up with a loud bang. I felt movement behind me and even though I had already perceived his scent, I looked down to his his long arm draped around my waist. I rolled my eyes and thought why some people just could not get the memo that someone was actually trying to avoid them.

I let him do what he wanted, knowing that he would not be letting me off easily; if I still refused to speak with him. My mind went back to the reason why I suddenly startled awake and before I could make any guesses; the irritation started to stir up in my stomach again and I was up and running to the bathroom.

Just like the last four days; I went on my knees and buried my face in the toilet, emptying out the remains of whatever was left of yesterday's food (which consisted of blood and more blood). I bent over again for the third time but this time, I felt a hand helping to hold my hair back.

I spat out what was left in my mouth, then pushed his hand away from me. "Do not come in here acting as if you care about me, wham you don't," I hissed. I got up from the floor and before I could think about taking a step, a strong wave of dizziness enveloped me and I staggered, barely maintaining my footing.

Marcus's arms wrapped around mine to support me and he did not let go when I tried to push him away. "Stay still," he said in a calm tone of voice, but there was an underlying impatience in the way he said it. "You can barely stand without tripping on your own feet, you need my help even though you try to deny it."

"To hell with you and your help!" I spat. "I don't care if you throw yourself down a mountain for me, it would never make up for your sins against me!"

His lips pursed and he had a displeased
