CHAPTER 119

"We need your help," Jason replied this time. He gave a pause and when he was asked to carry on, he said: "To kill the Dracula," he deadpanned.

A look of surprise flickered past the coven master's face, their words reaching his ears but still not settling in his brain. He was silent for a long moment and almost when they thought he would not say anything, he spoke: "You mean; you want me to help you kill your grandfather?" They nodded simultaneously.

"I have never been a big fan of Monte, but I will wish to know the reason why his grandchildren will want him dead," he paused, a sinister smirk sneaking unto his face. "Even if I would not mind running a knife through his cold chest, over and over again!"

Both Angelo and Jason rose to their feet as he gestured them to come closer to him.

"We are going to talk better, but first; let's get rid of the sore subject that is your grandfather, and talk about other things." He humoured, but that did nothing to relax the tensed vampires in his presence. "Your mother, Claire; how is she?" he asked.

"She is dead."

His pale face hardened, his eyes frosting over. "What kind of expensive joke is is that?" He gritted out through clenched teeth, the muscles in his jaw twitching rhythmically. "I saw her and that little girl of hers about ten years ago, and now you tell me she is dead?"

Just as their mother had instructed them, their narrated their own pat of the story, turning it all on their grandfather and accusing Dracula Monte of the murder of Claire. They also went ahead to tell him how the Dracula was after Chloe's life and unborn child. To round it up; the Coven master was not a very happy vampire, by the time they had finished narrating their part of the story.

He promised to take care of the matter and feasted them to blood. They stayed a few more hours, then they were ready to leave. Both Angelo and Jason said their goodbyes, each going to kiss the hem of his black cloak. They turned around and started marching out of the cave, when his voice interrupted them again.

"Make sure to say hi to your grandfather for me," he started in an icy tone of voice. "Tell him that he would be seeing more of me from now on!"

They nodded apprehensively, both moving backwards and not turning their backs on him until they left his presence. Just as they got back the gates of the cliff and came out to start on their journey home, a strong wind came, that shoved them backwards and before they could defend themselves in case of if it were some sort of danger, Chloe was standing right before them.

Angelo gave her a disapproving look, while Jason rolled his eyes, a huff escaping his lips. She was then dragged to the side, by the eldest of them all.

"Explain what you are doing here?" He said in a clipped tone, which was close to the harshest he had ever been with her. She went to speak, but he raised a finger and her mouth clamped shut. "And before you lie, just do not say it is mother who sent you," he added.

She scowled. "It is mother who sent me," she replied truthfully.

"And he just told you not to say that," Jason muttered under his breath, turning his back to his siblings. "We better get out of here before he sees her, she has created more than enough trouble for all of us already..." "What is wrong with you?" She snapped, her temper rising due to her mood. She had been like that recently, getting agitated over every little thing. "Why do you always have a problem with me?!-"

"Bring your voice down!" Angelo whisper-yelled. Jason the other hand, remained speechless, giving Chloe a thoughtful look, while she glared. back. "You would not want to drag attention to yourself Chloe, mother will have our heads!" "No!" She yelled back, doing the exact opposite of what her brother had pleaded of her. "I will have his head, even before mother does that!" She pointed at Jason, moving back quickly when he started to move towards her. "Stop right there! What are you doing?!"

Never known to be the patient one, he heaved her onto one broad shoulders like a light sack of potatoes, ignoring the drumming practice that she rehearsed on his back and teleported back to where his mother had instructed that they met. Angelo joined a few seconds later and he put Chloe to the ground.

Wham!

His head whipped to the side, as she landed a painful slap on his cheek which left it red and bruised, with her hand throbbing badly. He turned back to give her a cold glare, not stopping even when she shuddered.

"Jason, stop trying to intimidate your sister," their mother's voice came from inside of the house. "Come in kids, I made breakfast!"

It was when she made mention of that, that Chloe realized that she had been up all night, fighting one battle or another and as her stomach growled, she just knew that she had to feed her baby before it decided to start consuming blood from her insides.

Angelo walked past his siblings, getting bored as none of the two wanted to give up first on their staring contest.

"Don't you ever put your hands on me again!" She huffed, turning ng around and stomped into the house. She was asked to go back and fetch her husband and Lily, which she did, returning faster than Jason would have liked. She was in such a foul mood and his was in none to put up with her!

Lily fainted after she was introduced to Chloe's mother, then fainted again, when she was told that she was resurrected by her father. "So, you are a ghost?!" She has asked and Claire had replied by saying: "Something of the sort." And she had fainted again, for the third time.

They had dinner together and everyone was relaxed and had a good time. Claire tried to settle every misunderstanding and made everyone get to like everyone and even for those who could not like each other, for example: Alpha Marcus and Jason, they at least agreed to be pleasant with each other from now onwards.

But none of them knew that that was going to be the very last, they would ever see of her!
