I lift my injured mate in my arms and begin to run toward the medic building. "I am so sorry, my love. I had no idea what she was planning."

"It's not your fault. You couldn't predict this happening."

"But she injured you," I said as I ran through the doors of the building.

Doctor Bailey came running over. "What happened?"

"Christine tried to kill her during training," I said placing my mate on the bed in a private room.

"Christine? The ex-Beta's daughter?"

"The very one," I say as she begins to examine Ammie.

"She has some real deep abrasions. The bleeding has stopped, and it seems her wolf is doing her job and it is healing." Bailey says as she cleans the wounds. "Can I go home?" Ammie asked the doctor.

"I would rather you stay overnight until these close deeper abrasions close more. I want to be sure you get no infections."

Ammie's deep sighs, "I have never been away from the twins overnight before. They are still too little."

I take her hand in mine. "Trust me, baby, I can care for them, and Lisa is there to help. You need to heal."

I see tears gathering in her eyes, but she nodded in agreement.

I leaned down and kissed my mate. "I love you, Ammie. I will go and check on the twins and I will be back soon. I also want to let Lisa know you will be home tomorrow." "Okay," She sounded choked up, "I love you too."

I kissed her one last time as Doc Bailey was cleaning and wrapping her wounds. I nod at the doctor as I turn and walked out the door.

I walked to the packhouse and up to my room. I walked into the adjoining room that is the nursery and informed Lisa about Ammie being in the medic overnight. Lisa being young and great with the pups offered to stay the night to help with the nighttime duties. I agreed. I had an omega bring in a cot for Lisa to sleep on along with bedding.

It was still early so I went back to stay with my mate for a bit and inform her the twins are well looked after.

I got to her room and noticed she was sleeping. I ran into the doctor, and she informed me she was in pain, so she gave her something for it and it knocked her out. I leaned down and kissed my sleeping beauty and went back to spend time with my pups. "How is the Luna doing?" Lisa asked as I sat down in one of the rocking chairs with Camille in my arms.

"The doctor gave her pain medicine, and she is sleeping." I smile at Lisa. "I decided to come back here and spend time with my pups."

She smiled at me as she was holding Camron. She is a pretty young thing. With shoulder-length brown hair and green eyes. She has to be at least seventeen years of age.

"When is your birthday, Lisa?"

"Oh, next month,"

"Will you be eighteen at that time?" I asked her.

She smiled before answering, "Yes, I will finally be eighteen."

I nod, "Are you excited to replace your fated Mate?"

"I'm really not sure."

I frowned, "Why not?"

Her eyes lit up and sparkled, "Because I am in love with someone already."

"I see. How does he feel about it?"

"Oh, he doesn't know."

"He doesn't know? How long have you loved this person?"

"For about two years now." She says rocking my son while feeding him.

"Why haven't you told him?"

"Because I am shy, and I fear he doesn't feel the same way."

"I see." I lift my daughter to my shoulder and begin to pat her back to burp her. "You never know until you talk to him. But if you want my advice, I suggest you wait for your mate. Having a mate is a blessing and you don't have to worry about if he loves you or not. He is your other half and will love you unconditionally."

She looked as if contemplating my words. Then smiled at me. "I will consider what you say. But my heart still beats for this man."

"Well, I cannot force you. I can only give advice."

"Thank you, Alpha. I will think about what you said."

I stand and place my sleeping daughter back in her bassinet then walked over and took my son from Lisa's hands as she just finished burping him, kissing his soft head I place him in his bassinet. I watch my son with pride.

"One day he will make a fine Alpha," Lisa says walking next to me and looking down at my son. "Just like his father," She added looking up at me with a gleam in her eyes.

I smile at her. "Thank you,"

"It's the truth." She whispers smiling down at my son.

Later that night I jumped into the shower and put on my boxer briefs to sleep in. I sit up and read for a bit in bed before turning off the side table lamp and going to sleep.

I feel Ammie next to me and wrap my arm around her as I feel her kisses on my chest. "Mmm," I moan as she begins to lick my nipples and put her hand down my briefs grabbing my c**k and stroking it as I moan and groan when it suddenly dawns on me that I feel no sparks or tingles and remember Ammie is in medical.

I open my eyes and jump out of bed to replace a naked Lisa in my bed. "What the hell?" I yell as I walk quickly into my closet and grab a pair of sweats and put them on. Walking out Lisa is still on my bed and smiling. She is smiling.

"What the hell, Lisa? What do you think you are doing?" I yell at her.

"Isn't it obvious? I was talking about you. You are the one I am in love with."

I close my eyes and take a deep breath. "Lisa, I have a mate that I love with all my heart. And what you have done is a crime against not only me but your Luna as well. I am going to speak to your parents about this and you will need to leave this pack. I cannot have any more incidents like this." I point at the door, "I need you to get your clothes and leave." She begins to cry but I feel nothing but anger toward her, "You are lucky I am not throwing you in the cells. But you need to leave now."

She climbs out of the bed to grab her clothes and leave out of my room when all I can think of now is I need a new untainted bed. But for tonight I will sleep on the sofa in the sitting room and contact Mandy in the morning to keep watch on the twins. I know Ammie felt the betrayal and I have a lot of explaining to do.
