After that moment with Chase and the heart monitor, all went quiet again as if he had slipped into a deeper coma. I felt sad but never gave up on talking to him. It has been two days since that moment, and I have been at his side eighty-five percent of the time. Karen has been great with keeping the twins safe. She is truly a blessing. She is the one who also has been having food delivered to me. As well as making sure a cot was brought in so I could sleep and rest. The battle had been over, and we won for now. I cannot help but feel something bigger is brewing. But I can not focus on that right now I have to focus on my mate getting better and waking up.

I have to focus on my mate getting better and waking up. A few times I tried the kiss to see if it would work, but nothing happened. I can not be discouraged I have to stay positive. Chase is the love of my life. He can not leave me. His pack needs him. His children need him. I need him.

"Come back to us, my love. Come back to me...please." I said kissing his hand as I held it.

The doctor is still unsure if he will make it through or not because of how extensive his injuries were. He has to make it though. He has people who love him.

"Please Goddess above bring back my mate. Don't take him from me...please don't." I whisper into his hand as I continue to kiss it. I suddenly feel tears sliding down my cheeks and landing on our joined hands.

It was then I broke down and sobbed my eyes out. I can't lose him. I just can't. We have been through so much already. I can't let him go.

"Luna." I hear someone behind me. I was so much into my grief I didn't hear the door open. "It has been two weeks with no change. I am sorry. You might have to brace yourself for the worst. If he were going to make it there would have been some sign by now." The doctor said walking up to stand next to me. "You should go and get some real rest. Go and see your pups!"

I shook my head, "No. I am not leaving nor am I giving up. He will come back. I know he will." I said sounding choked up with emotion.

"I just need you to be prepared in case..."

"NO. HE WILL WAKE UP." I shouted at him in frustration. I didn't mean to, but I didn't want to hear his negative words.

"Yes, Luna. I will leave you for now. Please just try to rest and eat. Your pups need you healthy."

I just nod as I hear the door close as he leaves the room. I breathe out a sigh and stood up climbed onto the bed to lie down next to Chase. "I don't care what he says. You will come back to us, to your family." I kiss his cheek and close my eyes falling asleep.

I open my eyes and replace I am outside, and the sun is shining bright. The twins are in a bouncy swing for infants, and I am leaning against the strong hard body of my mate. I smile at the pups as they giggle in their bouncy and I feel Chase wrap his arms around me pulling me closer and kissing my neck where his mark is. I sigh in contentment and moan at his touch.

"You know I will never leave you, or our pups. I am always here, My love. Always." He says against my neck as he continues kissing me.

I lean my neck more into his kiss and hum, "I know. We are waiting for you. Please don't keep us waiting too long. I miss you."

"I know you do. I am on my way back soon...I promise."

I wake with a start. That dream felt so real. I look up at my mate and whisper, "I am holding you to that promise. Hurry back to us."

Another week had come and gone and still no sign of Chase waking. I have been having more dreams with him and the pups and a few times with just him and me being intimate. At times would I lie down next to him and continue talking to him. Yet on this one particular day, I again fell asleep with my arm around his waist and my nose in the crook of his neck where my mark on him lays.

I open my eyes and see him lying there on a blanket on a field of wildflowers next to me. He was watching me and smiling. I smiled back. He takes his finger and stroke my face lovingly. I sigh, "I love you."

"I love you too. I promise anytime now." He says as he leans in and kisses me. I close my eyes as I feel his fingers running through my long hair.

I open my eyes only this time I am back on the hospital bed with Chase, and he is looking at me with a smile running his fingers through my hair. "I told you anytime now." He says in a rough voice that had not been used in weeks.

Tears run down my cheeks, "Chase," was all I could say as I land my lips on his. My Chase was now awake. He came back to me just like he promised. He held me in his strong arms and kissed me back. The heart monitor began to speed up and I hear the door open and knew it was the doctor by his smell. Seeing what was happening he slipped back out closing the door to allow us privacy.
