YUNIFER'S

POV

After we left the campus, I glanced at Asher who remained silent about what happened earlier. I let out a heavy sigh as my hand reached out to pat his head making Asher raise his head and look at me with curiosity. "Why are you in a bad mood? Is it because of the two of them? You shouldn't let yourself be affected by them since talking to them or being near them is only a waste of energy." I softly added while letting out my fingers run through his hair as we walked towards the mansion. However, Asher still purses his lips and refuses to say anything. He was clearly in a bad mood today because the word 'I am in a bad mood' was written all over his face. So, how could I, his sister who had been with him since he was a child until now that he was still a kid, not know that he was upset over something?

He was also nervous and contemplating too.

"Can you tell your sister what made you feel uncomfortable and why you are in a bad mood today? This sister will help you solve your problem." I softly said while I squat down on the floor to match his face so that I could see the face that he kept on lowering since earlier.

I saw his eyes reddened and he was still pursing his lips. His eyes were filled with grievances, making my heart tighten.

I immediately embraced him in my arms and patted his back to comfort him.

"Are you upset because Seraph only receives to be expelled? Do you want me to tell your big brothers to help you solve your problem regarding those two mother-and-son duos? They can publicize all of their black materials and for sure that all people who were using the internet would know about what they have done. Just tell me and I will be the one who will tell your big brother about it if you are embarrassed to do so. You can always ask your sister for something." I softly said while patting his head.

I never thought that Asher would receive a big impact because of those mother-and-son duos. Asher had always been sensible, never made trouble, was cold yet warm inside, and also he matured early, this is the first time that I saw my brother acting like a child in his age.

It wasn't until I heard him speak. "Sister, you know the reason why I am being like this."

Hearing this, I stiffened then after that, I let out a soft chuckle and kissed his head.

"Is it because you were blaming yourself that you are no longer kind and innocent as you thought you would be? You blamed yourself because you are guilty that you don't want to scare those mother-and-son duos but the moment you raised your claws, you wanted to kill them. Am I right?" I softly said as if it was nothing to me and just continue to comfort him, otherwise, he would break down for thinking too much about what happened earlier.

Hearing my words, he pursed his lips and hugged me tightly.

"Do you think that I'm starting to get evil? I wanted to kill them earlier for cursing and hurting you earlier. I don't want to be the same as Cilda... do you think that it's because I am her son that's why I'm becoming like this? I can't escape the fate of being wicked since Cilda's blood flows onto me. I don't want to be like her... Sister, I don't want to be like her..." He softly said as his voice choked while trying to suppress his sobs.

I was slightly stunned by his words. I never thought that all this time, he had been thinking about the matters of him and Cilda. He was afraid that he would become like Cilda who abused, indulged in drugs, and would even manipulate a person. A real psychopath who even forced a man to be with her.

I helplessly sighed and kisses him on the forehead again. "Don't worry, you won't. It will be okay. Sister will always be with you, okay? However, next time if you have such impulsive thoughts, don't let your body take over you okay? As long as you can control your mind and your body, it will be okay. After all, you are Asher. My little cute brother. Even if you have Cilda's blood, you are still my brother which I had raised since you were a child. It has nothing to do with Cilda despite that you are related to her, okay?" After he heard my reassuring words, he was slightly relieved and he nodded his head, indicating that he understand what I said. Then he raised his head and looked at me with solemnity.

"Don't be wordy, sister. I promise you that no matter what, I won't be controlled by my emotions easily. Besides, I won't easily kill a person. It won't happen again."

I nodded my head and squeeze his cheeks. "I know. Sister trust you very much. Now, go back to your room and change your clothes. Do you have any injuries from the fight with Seraph earlier?"

Asher immediately shook his head and showed his fist. "There's none and besides, I won't be easily defeated. After all, I was also trained by big brothers."

The big brothers he was referring to was probably either Lawrence, Ishid, or Drake.

I let out a sigh of relief and patted his head. "That's a good thing to hear. Now, go on and take a rest after you change your clothes."

"I will!" After he said that, he cheerfully went back to his room.

After seeing him go back to his room, I glanced at my surroundings and went to the office then I found Lawrence who was seriously reading the report.

Sensing my presence, he put down the documents and walked in my direction, and gave me a big hug.

"What's wrong?" Sensing his low mood, I couldn't help but ask him.

Lawrence let out a helpless sigh and leaned his face on my shoulder as his arms tightly wrapped around my waist.

"Drake and Ishid went to the Sors City whereas the place where the family of those young maidens was living, and they found out that only five of them managed to escape from the hands of the witches while the rest allowed themselves to indulge at the illusion that their daughter was still alive. Although they know that their daughter had already been dead in the hands of the witch who was in front of them, they couldn't help but soften and sometimes think that the person in front of them was their daughter because of the way they speak, their acts and even their habits were the same as their daughters. Only five of the families managed to get out of the illusion and didn't let themselves indulge in the fake scenarios." Lawrence softly narrated while he was still hugging me. I patted his shoulder and let out a helpless sigh. Honestly, I never thought that someone would survive in the trial, especially that for sure they would doubt the words of the stranger that they have just met and would question the authentication, after all, I just went straight to the point when I told them that their daughter was dead.

How could anyone easily believe that? Even if they would believe it, from the moment that they would see the witch who was in disguise as their daughter, copying and impersonating all of their daughter's actions, voice, and expression-to the precise, a witch who was good at impersonating someone. Of course, it would be for sure that they would be tempted and would be indulged themselves in the desire that their daughter was still alive and that I was the one who was lying to them.

I had already readied myself when it comes to their matter since I know that most of them or even all of them would choose to believe that the person in front of them wasn't a witch but rather their real daughter. They would just live their life thinking that way. After all, who would want to accept that their loved ones had died?

But after hearing that five out of twenty of the victims trusted my words and managed to get out from the beautiful illusion that the witch gave to them, I was a bit surprised and a little bit happy that they didn't let themselves bewitched, especially that the witch who was pretending to be their daughter was the one who killed their daughter.

"Where are they right now? Are they safe?" I asked calmly while looking at Lawrence who was kissing my neck.

He nodded his head. "Yeah, they are already safe since Ishid and Drake come to the rescue. I still haven't received their feedback but it seemed that they were dealing with those five witches, for now, that's why they replied late."

"Then why are you still here?" I asked with curiosity.

Lawrence stiffened then he let out a soft chuckle before he fiercely kissed my lips before he answered. "Drake and Ishid can handle them and besides, I can't leave you here alone together with Asher. Who knows when those witches would appear to attack you? After all, you were their target in the first place."

I couldn't help but feel warm that they were worried about me. I let out a soft chuckle as I kissed him on his lips before I parted with his lips.

"Shall we go and meet them?" I inquired.

Before he could open his mouth and reply when someone knocked on the office and a familiar voice called my name.

"Sister, are you inside? Alpha Havoc was here and he wanted to talk to you and big brothers too!" It was my brother, Asher who knocked on the door.

Hearing that Alpha Havoc was here, I retracted myself from hugging Lawrence and opened the door, looking at Asher who was innocently looking at me then he pointed to the living room without letting me ask him a question.

"He's in the living room. He looked haggard and depressed. I guess something happened to Uncle Kale."
