Everyone wondered what Felix was planning to do.

Eric smiled.

“Is he going to do a striptease for us?”. At his comment, the crowd erupted in laughter.

I noticed that while everyone was laughing, Charlene was distracted and glanced around the corner from time to time.

Aaron was sitting in that corner.

He was also quiet, but didn’t seem to notice that she was looking at him.

About half an hour later, the lights in the bar dimmed.

Then, a line of bartenders came out with candles in hand, arranging themselves in heart-shaped order on the stage.

The background music changed to a more romantic lyrical song, and the guests’ curiosity was aroused.

At that moment, all eyes turned to the stage.

Hearing a man’s voice singing, the star of the show was finally revealed.

Felix came on stage as he sang.

He had a microphone in one hand and a bouquet of red roses in the other.

“Take my hand and let’s create a happy life together, Will you marry me today?” I nudged Louise with my elbow.

“So this is what Felix was doing, huh?” as she looked at Felix on stage, she exclaimed, “What a silly man.” I could tell he didn’t mean it.

Even if he did say it, his eyes lit up with excitement and he couldn’t disguise it.

Several waiters came over to pull her up on stage.

Eric and the others also urged her onto the stage.

In fact, Louise was as strong as an ogre.

If she didn’t want to be up there, no one could make her.

When Felix finished his song, he knelt down, took out a little box from the bouquet of roses, opened it and presented it to Louise.

“Will you marry me, Louise?” he exclaimed.

Louise was my best and only friend, so I was very happy for her.

“Say yes!” they shouted.

“You’re so flamboyant – aren’t you worried someone else will snatch her away from you?”. Suddenly, a voice rang out, interrupting the proceedings.

At the sound of Layne’s voice, I turned my head and saw him approaching with his companions.

He had a glass of wine in his hand.

I was aware of how Layne felt about Louise, so I was scared that he might screw up Felix’s proposal.

“What are you doing here, Layne?” Felix stood up, looking at Layne.

Layne smiled at him, showing no hint of fear.

“Why are you asking me? I’m here to do the same thing you are.” Naturally, his words infuriated Felix.

He had spent a lot of time and energy preparing for this proposal tonight, so he wasn’t about to let anyone ruin it so easily.

After stepping forward a few paces, Felix grabbed a bottle of beer and smashed it on the bar counter.

The bubbling beer shot out and littered the floor.

He brandished the broken bottle at Layne and yelled, “Get out of here, Layne. This is my place.” But Layne didn’t seem to flinch, and the smile on his face didn’t dissipate.

Suddenly, the men behind him began hurling curses at Felix and pointed at him.

“Watch your fucking mouth, asshole! Don’t mess with Mr. Thurman.

If you don’t, we’re gonna tear this shitty bar of yours apart!”. Felix was about to charge at them with his improvised weapon, but Louise stopped him.

“What do you think you’re doing? Put that down.” Felix didn’t expect her to come and stop him, so he immediately withdrew his attack.

Unfortunately, the broken bottle was still brushing against his hand.

Shaken, he hurried to throw the broken bottle away and grab Louise’s hand.

“Oh my God, are you okay?” I was so scared to see her hand bleeding.
