“Eveline, have you seen Louise?” a voice echoed in my ears that left me startled. After putting down the inflatable toy, I shook my head. “I haven’t seen her.”

“Louise!”

Layne frowned and walked over to where Louise was standing.

Oh, shit! They were finished-Layne was going to catch them!

But when I looked back, I realized Felix was gone. Louise was grabbing a woman’s hair and punching her continuously.

Layne pulled Louise away from the woman. “Hey, hey! Be careful, Louise. You’re still hurt. Let me do it for you.”

After winking at the two men next to him, they charged toward the woman and began beating her.

As the woman rolled on the ground, I finally saw her face. In fact, it was Linda.

Although there were many people in the square, most just watched her, and none had the courage to stop the fight.

Louise frowned, covering her belly with her hands and gasping. She thought she must have reopened the incision.

“Lulu, are you okay?” Silently, he stared at Linda as she writhed in pain on the floor.

“Are you satisfied now?” asked Layne, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Before she could answer, he continued, “If you don’t feel better, I’ll think of another way to help you vent your anger. This place is not suitable for that.”

It was then that I noticed more and more people watching the scene unfold. Soon, the security guards in the plaza would be alerted to this, and then the matter would escalate.

“Let’s go,” Louise said.

With that, we fled the scene. After a while, I turned and saw that Linda was still on the ground, unable to get up. But when I peered through the strands of her disheveled hair, her eyes looked fierce and terrifying.

When I turned around again, I noticed a masked man watching us from nearby. Louise noticed him too. From what he was wearing, I recognized the masked man as Felix.

“I’m not in the mood to stay here anymore. Let’s go home,” Louise said to Layne. He nodded in response and tucked her in with his windbreaker.

“Okay, let’s go.”

I patted him on the shoulder and said, “You just got well. It won’t do you any good to be playing outside for too long. You’d better go home soon.”

Suddenly, I felt someone tugging on my clothes. When I looked down, I found a little girl wearing flowers. As she tugged on the hem of my coat, she said, “Someone asked me to give you this bouquet of flowers.”

I didn’t accept it yet, because it was a little suspicious.

“Who gave them?” I asked.

The girl put the bouquet in my hand and ran off. I followed her with my eyes.

Suddenly, I felt something brush against my back. And when I turned around, I saw a bear mascot. As soon as the mascot approached me, many children gathered around me.

At first, the mascot just danced around me and seemed very friendly. I got scared when it hugged me and rubbed its face against mine.

I felt uncomfortable and struggled to pull away from him. However, he hugged me tightly and took a selfie with his other hand. I became increasingly suspicious of his identity, but when I saw the ring on his finger, I was certain that the mascot was Alvaro.

More and more people started to stare, and many of them laughed. As I broke free from Alvaro’s grip, I shouted, “Let go of me!”.

Just as I was feeling agitated, I was swept into the arms of another man. When I turned around, the pet was already on the ground and clutching at my legs. Alvaro’s leg was already injured and now he had fallen. Honestly, I felt a little sorry for him.

Derek put his arm around my shoulder and guided me. “Who sent you the flowers?” he asked.

I looked at the bouquet of flowers in my hand and shook my head.

“Honestly, I have no idea. A little girl gave it to me.” This time, Derek didn’t ask any more questions and just shielded me as we made our way through the crowd.
