Back to Love: A New Beginning -
Chapter 411
Chapter 411:.
When I finally agreed, Derek was happy as a child.
He expressed his sincerity by gifting me with a wedding that I completely deserved, so I decided to give him one last chance. If something like that happened again, I wouldn’t go back to him no matter how much he begged me. However, I still hadn’t told Derek that I was pregnant, as I wasn’t sure if he would be happy to hear it or not.
At least, I thought it would be okay not to tell him for the time being. Every time he tried to make out with me, I would refuse with all sorts of excuses.
Fortunately, not once did he try to force himself on me. A week later, Derek was almost recovered. He took me to a wedding dress store to pick out the dress I wanted.
Each wedding dress had been designed by one of the top international designers. There was a wide variety of styles, and I found each dress beautiful in its own right. I had previously thought that I would never have the pleasure of wearing such a beautiful wedding dress. The sales clerk recommended several dresses based on my figure.
I had a hard time making a decision, so I asked Derek for help. He carefully compared the wedding dresses and chose the one he liked best.
“I think this one will look better on you,” he told me.
So I decided to try on the dress he had chosen and went to the fitting room.
The hem was too long, so I had to carry it and the salesgirl followed me and helped me carry it. Meanwhile, Derek was reading a magazine on the couch.
When he saw me, he suddenly put down the magazine, walked over to me and smoothed my veil. He looked at me with wide eyes and showed all the affection he could muster.
“Darling, how beautiful you look!”. I turned to the mirror to see my reflection. It almost looked like I wasn’t seeing myself.
Later Aaron walked in, followed by Eric and Felix.
Felix seemed a little reluctant to come, so Eric had to drag him in. That’s when Felix looked at me, and then at Derek, with an awkward smile on his face.
“If I hadn’t been forced to be here, I wouldn’t have come.”
I knew he and Derek didn’t hate each other. In fact, they had cleared up their misunderstandings the last time they drank together.

It was easy to tell that Felix was a little embarrassed at the moment. Naturally, no one would be so rude as to put on his pretense.
Derek said these three were going to be his groomsmen, so he asked them to pick out their outfits today.
There should be a maid of honor at our wedding, but alas, no one could be one. Louise was already married, and was in no mood to attend my wedding.
As if he had read my mind, Derek said, “Don’t worry, honey. I’ll replace you a bridesmaid.”
Aaron was not a picky man, so after trying on the suit, he had already made up his mind.
Eric and Felix, on the other hand, couldn’t replace anything that suited their tastes.
Meanwhile, Derek also went to change his clothes. So, now, only Aaron and I were sitting in the living room.
“Why do they look unhappy?” asked Aaron.
I didn’t think they knew what had happened that night, so I didn’t tell them anything. I just shook my head in response to his question.
“Unhappy? Not really.”
“All the necessary arrangements for the wedding will be taken care of by your wedding planner. All you have to do is what they tell you. Relax, Eveline. You don’t need to be nervous.”
His words comforted me, so I nodded. Aaron smiled at me again.
“It’s an honor to be the best man at your wedding.”
“Thank you!” I exclaimed happily.
Finally, Derek had finished changing out of his suit and came out of the fitting room. He was now wearing a white suit.
“Does this one fit me?” he asked looking at me.
I had never seen him in a white suit before, although I must admit he was like a model who looked good in every outfit he tried on.
“It looks beautiful on you!”, I told him.
After leaving the fitting room, Felix looked at himself in front of the mirror.
“What do you think of this one?”. Eric gave him a thumbs up.
“It looks great on you, buddy!”.
Once they had chosen their outfits, they went on their way.
Derek and I were going to have pre-wedding photos done at Sousen’s largest studio.
Normally, clients have to make an appointment to have pre-wedding photos taken, but since I was the most famous person in Sousen, Derek had no need to book.
On the way to the studio, he made a call and the makeup artist, stylist and photographer were immediately arranged.
“It’s winter now, so it’s cold outside. Let’s do the indoor set first. When it gets warmer, we can pick another place to do more photos,” Derek told me as he led us into the studio.
I never thought he had arranged everything in secret, and it looked like he had planned it all carefully.
