Chapter 489:.

-Kevin’s Diary

“Ever since I married Belinda, rumors about her have not stopped circulating. In fact, shortly after we got married, I realized I had made a mistake. There are many things I am aware of regarding these rumors, but I pretend I don’t know. Also, having a daughter and a son, one after the other, did not make our relationship stronger and more stable, but rather put it on shaky ground. When I felt bad, I would also start drinking. That night she went out with her son and didn’t come back, although it was already very late. My daughter is excellent at reading expressions, so she probably realized that I was in a very bad mood. That’s why she went to cook. She’s very small, no taller than the stove. But she got up on a stool and acted like an adult. When I saw how considerate my daughter was, my heart melted like butter. I took the spatula out of her hand and we made noodles for both of us. We ate a bowl each. I drank some wine during the meal. It was getting late and Belinda was nowhere to be seen. I was so drunk that I got up the courage to do something. I told my daughter to go to bed early. Then I put on a coat and went outside. I was determined to replace her. I knew exactly where she was. Mr. Sullivan, the quarry owner, built a house next door. He stayed there most of the time. The quarry was a place where men worked. All the workers had dirty faces after a hard day’s work. Belinda pays a lot of attention to hygiene, but she still goes to the quarry every other day. I would be foolish if I didn’t know something strange was going on. I pretended not to know so I could give my children a complete family. That day, something happened at the quarry, and all the workers left early. I saw the light in the Sullivan house and was a little puzzled. Even if Belinda was inside, what could I do?

Should I go in and declare that Belinda was my wife? Should I get into a full blown altercation with the man? Or should I just accuse her of all her mistakes in my role as her husband? Or maybe we would get into a fight that would get out of hand and make a huge mess?

In the end, I didn’t decide what I was going to do, but approached the house, step by step. The sounds of my footsteps were masked by the snow, so I managed to sneak up on it. There was a faint rustling sound coming from the room with the light on.

Somehow, I managed to reach the window of the room and stopped dead in my tracks. That night I heard some terrible truths from the window. I learned about the Stone Family’s tragic car accident and about Lean’s real father.

I didn’t know Belinda had kept so much from me. It turned out that my wife was so vicious and vile. They had planned all these terrible things themselves. I was so shocked that my feet seemed to be fixed in place.

I could not move. As soon as Belinda opened the door, she saw me. She was terrified. But she was smart and reacted quickly. She knelt down in front of me and begged me not to tell anyone.

I was too shocked to come to at that moment. I didn’t know how I had managed to bring her home that night.

When we got home, she pulled me into the bedroom, kissed me and begged me to have mercy, as she had problems of her own. She swore she would never see Gifford Sullivan again. She promised she would live a good life with me. It was the first time she had tried to initiate sex in such an assertive and active way, but I had no interest.

In the end, I pushed her away. I looked at her pitiful, pathetic appearance and couldn’t stand it. Even if she wasn’t faithful to me, she was still the mother of my children and the woman I loved. Even if Lean was not my biological son, she had done nothing wrong.

How could I let the two children replace out about everything and suffer?”
