Benson 55
Chapter 55 Endorsement Trouble
Yvonne’s beauty was undeniably striking. Her appearance was like a stunning landscape, effortlessly drawing everyone’s attention wherever she went.
Her unique grace and elegance made it impossible to ignore her.
Even Benson, usually cold and unresponsive, found himself captivated by her beauty in the car, feeling a sudden urge to get closer to her.
Mary watched all of this, her heart burning with jealousy and resentment.
She knew that Benson had an irreplaceable woman in his heart, his “white moonlight,” someone he would do anything to replace. Mary understood she couldn’t compete with that woman and had chosen to accept and concede.
But she couldn’t accept Yvonne. She didn’t understand why Yvonne could easily walk into Benson’s heart and win his favor.
Mary refused to let this happen. She would rather Benson replace his ideal woman than see him forget about her and choose Yvonne instead.
Back at the office, Yvonne had just sat down when Megan hurried in, looking serious.
“Mr. Daniel made a statement on social media this afternoon, announcing the termination of his partnership with Zoe Corporation,” Megan said, her voice tinged with surprise at the sudden news.
Zoe Corporation, one of Daniel’s key distributors, terminating their partnership now was a clear support for Yvonne’s earlier remark Don’t you know what you did?”
Yvonne’s eyebrows lifted slightly; she knew what this meant.
“What about Zoe?” Yvonne asked, her voice calm but her eyes showing concern.
“She went back to Reno. Her clients have started causing a fuss,” Megan replied, sounding resigned.
“But I have someone following her. She’s cornered and will definitely seek help from the mastermind,” Megan added, a shrewd look in her eyes.
Yvonne was silent for a moment, deep in thought.
“By the way, Miss Yvonne, not only are our people following Zoe, but two other groups are also trailing her,” Megan continued.

“Oh?” Yvonne’s voice carried a hint of curiosity.
I checked. One group is from Mr. Marcus, and the other is Mr. Benson’s, Megan confirmed.
Yvonne sighed, “I see. I just remembered something. I need to go out.” Her voice had klas
of urgency.
Megan, taken aback by Yvonne’s sudden need to leave, exclaimed, “Aren’t you supposed to meet with Paul today to discuss Daniel’s pricing?”
Yvonne paused, then turned to Megan and said, ‘Tell Paul that even if a few transactions with Daniel don’t make a profit, it’s okay. The key is to ensure overall profitability for the year. I have confidence in him. Tell him to proceed boldly with our plan. If there’s an emergency, call me.” With that, Yvonne hurried out of the office.
In the car, Yvonne immediately called Bella, her voice urgent, “Bella, where are you?”
Bella’s hesitant voice came through, “I’m outside Marcus’s house, trying to figure out how to talk to him.”
Yvonne didn’t hesitate, “I’ll have someone else handle Marcus. I need your help with something more urgent. You need to go to Reno right away.”
Yvonne explained every detail to Bella over the phone, ensuring she understood the importance and urgency of the situation.
After hanging up, Yvonne decided not to return to the office and drove straight to her family’s old home.
Her mom, Hannah, and Susan were busy in the kitchen, preparing some delicious cookies. The aroma of baking filled the kitchen, making it irresistible.
“My little foodie, did you come back because you smelled the cookies?” Hannah asked gently, her voice filled with motherly love.
Yvonne entered the kitchen, smiling and leaning affectionately on her mom’s shoulder, feeling the warmth of home.
“I was just about to call you. I’ve got everything ready,” Hannah said, her eyes full of longing for her daughter.
Susan smiled from the side, saying, “I’ll watch the oven. You two go have some time together.” She gently pushed the mother and daughter out of the kitchen, giving them some privacy.
Yvonne leaned against her mom’s shoulder, feeling the familiar warmth and scent. They moved to the sofa, and Yvonne cuddled in her mom’s lap, like she did as a child.
Hannah gently stroked Yvonne’s hair, her eyes filled with love.
They sat quietly, enjoying the rare moment of intimacy between mother and daughter. The cookie aroma grew stronger, hinting at the sweet treat to come.
Cuddled in her mom’s arms, Yvonne softly said, “The doctor said that talking in mom’s lap is like seeing a therapist five times. How about we visit Grandma this weekend?” Her voice held a note of anticipation.
“Is something wrong? Did something upset you?” Hannah asked with concern, her eyes

worried.
Yvonne nodded, indeed troubled by Benson’s current attitude. He wasn’t mentioning divorce anymore, and she had no immediate solution to end things.
“Want to talk about it?” Hannah encouraged, her voice gentle yet firm.
“It’s just work stuff,” Yvonne smiled, not wanting to worry her mom, so she didn’t mention Benson.
The afternoon was peaceful and beautiful. Yvonne napped on her mom’s lap, sunlight streaming through the window, warm and comforting.
She slept soundly, dreaming of her carefree childhood.
When she woke, Susan’s cookies were ready, filling the air with a tantalizing aroma. Yvonne stretched, feeling refreshed.
She walked to the kitchen, seeing Susan taking the golden cookies out of the oven. The tempting color and scent made her mouth water.
“Try one, fresh out of the oven,” Susan smiled, offering Yvonne a cookie.
Yvonne took a bite, savoring the crisp exterior and sweet filling, exclaiming, “These are delicious, Aunt Susan. Your baking keeps getting better!”
Susan smiled, “I’m glad you like them.”
Just as Yvonne was enjoying the warmth of home and the closeness with her mom, phone rang. Megan’s name flashed on the screen, causing Yvonne to frown with unease. her
She answered, and Megan’s anxious voice came through, “Miss Yvonne, have you seen the news? The endorsement deal might fall through. It seems Mary is pregnant…”
