Chapter 69 Losing Position

Yvonne stood in the company lobby, facing the fans‘ questions, her mind a blank.

“Does he really have amnesia?” This question lingered in her mind.

“Get out of here!” Yvonne’s voice carried a hint of anger and impatience. She found these fans disgusting and shameless.

Her heart was filled with irritation; she couldn’t understand why these people were so

persistent.

“Are you upset?” he whispered softly in her ear

His voice carried a hint of concern. This was the first time in their three years of marriage that he truly considered her feelings.

Yvonne’s eyes reddened, overwhelmed by a rush of complex emotions. She didn’t know how to respond.

“I handled things poorly. If you had let Megan bring me to your office, this wouldn’t have. happened, right?”

He licked her earlobe, noticing she didn’t have pierced ears.

His actions were somewhat teasing but also carried an apology.

However, her ears were quite beautiful.

Just as he was about to kiss them, she turned around and grabbed him. “Can you have some decency? Can you be reasonable?” Yvonne’s voice was filled with anger and disappointment. She couldn’t stand his unreasonable behavior.

Yvonne’s heart felt as if it were being pounded by a hammer, each breath bringing searing

pain.

She looked at the man she once loved, now a symbol of betrayal and hurt.

His actions were not only a moral failure but also a merciless trampling of her spirit.

He had impregnated another woman, yet flaunted his affection in front of her as if it were all perfectly normal.

Yvonne’s heart bled, her rationality teetering on the edge of collapse.

“Is it her fault that we got to this point?” Yvonne’s voice trembled, filled with disbelief and deep pain.

She couldn’t accept this reality, couldn’t believe she had become a victim of such betrayal.

She lunged at him like a madwoman, her fists raining down on him, her nails digging into his skin, tearing at his clothes.

Her actions were filled with rage and desperation, her eyes blazing with the fire of betrayal and hurt, a fire that couldn’t be extinguished.

“How could you do this to me?” Yvonne’s voice was filled with sorrow and word piercing his heart.

anger, each

Her actions became more intense, her emotions spiraling out of control. She was not longer the calm, rational Yvonne but a woman consumed by pain and despair.

In this moment of madness, Yvonne’s world completely collapsed.

All that remained in her heart was endless pain and despair. She didn’t know how to face this cruel reality.

Benson stood still, allowing Yvonne’s storm of rage to crash over him.

His face and neck bore fresh red scratches, each one a mark of Yvonne’s pain.

However, he seemed unconcerned by the physical pain, his eyes revealing deep understanding and acceptance.

As Yvonne’s punches grew weaker, her anger seemed to dissipate somewhat.

Benson seized the moment to hold her tightly, disregarding the bright red scratches on his neck. His arms encircled her like iron bands.

“Are

you relieved now, Mrs. Benson? If not, keep hitting.” His voice was gentle yet firm, as if telling her that no matter how she vented, he would be there, bearing her anger, waiting

for her to calm down.

There was no blame in his words, only care and hope, hoping she could release the pain and anger in her heart this way.

Yvonne’s eyes were red as she forcefully pushed him away. “It’s unnecessary. Signing the divorce papers is the best option, Benson. Stop wasting each other’s time.”

Her voice carried a resoluteness. She knew this marriage could no longer continue.

Her heart was full of pain and helplessness, but she knew this was the best choice.

Yvonne’s hands indeed hurt. She sighed and turned to continue packing. Her movements were slow, clearly exhausted from the earlier confrontation.

“How many days?” Benson’s voice suddenly broke the silence of the room.

“What?” Yvonne looked up, confused.

“Aren’t you going to Miami?” Benson said, leaning against the wardrobe, biting on a

cigarette. His tone was light, seemingly trying to ease the tension.

Yvonne didn’t respond, glancing at him. She was filled with doubt, not knowing what his

intentions were.

“That bouquet of roses was too conspicuous. Yvonne’s voice carried a hint of displeasure. She knew the flowers were from Marcus, which made her very uncomfortable.

Benson nodded, his eyes showing a hint of complex emotion.

He had checked when he returned; whether it was the tickets, flowers, or hotel reservations, they were all arranged by Bella, with no trace of Marcus.

Marcus had indeed kept himself out of it, though everyone knew it was his doing.

“I won’t be involved in any more rumors with her.” Benson’s voice was firm, as if making a promise to Yvonne.

“Whatever.” Yvonne picked up her suitcase, ready to leave.

Her heart was full of determination. She didn’t want to be entangled in these matters.

anymore.

Benson grabbed her wrist, and Yvonne frowned, extremely impatient. “What do you want

now!”

Her voice carried a hint of anger. She didn’t want to be entangled with him anymore.

“I’ll see you off.” He took her suitcase. His movements were gentle, as if trying to make up for past mistakes.

As they reached downstairs, Benson handed her a document. “It’s signed. You can handle her as you wish.” His voice was resolute, as if he had made a significant decision.

Yvonne didn’t expect this document. He really had Mary sign it. Wasn’t she his prized gem?

If Mary had any scandals later, it would cost a lot. She was filled with doubt, unable to understand him.

Yvonne took the document, her hands trembling slightly.

Her heart was full of complex emotions. She didn’t know how to face it all.

Her eyes showed a hint of confusion, unsure of how to proceed.

Yvonne’s figure gradually receded as she walked into the house, suitcase in hand, without looking back.

Benson leaned his elbow on the car window, his gaze fixed on her back, his heart a mix of emotions.

After a long pause, he finally spoke to George. “Bella is quite idle, helping others to kidnap my wife, isn’t she?” His voice was cold, clearly displeased with Bella’s actions.

George sighed, trying to ease the situation. “You can’t blame others for this.” His tone was helpless. He understood Benson’s complex feelings but didn’t want to shift the blame to an innocent person.

However, Benson’s gaze was like an icy blade, coldly directed at the back of George’s head.

George felt the pressure and quickly changed his tone. “It’s all Mary’s fault!”

His voice carried a hint of flattery, trying to divert Benson’s anger.

Benson’s expression remained stern. He slowly said, “If you don’t know your place, you shouldn’t be in that position.”
