Betrayed by My Pack – Wolfless Hybrids Escape -
Chapter 100 –
Saoirse's
POV
My head hurt, and trying to keep my eyes open was hard. The lights were way too bright in the room. Once my eyes adjusted, I saw Robert asleep next to my bed. Cheryl was lying in the bed beside mine, and Casey was beside her. I quickly sat up as I remembered what had happened. Where is Cara? Those bitches have messed with the wrong witch. I took a moment to collect myself and calm myself down. I wouldn't run into this blindly, but people are about to pay for their actions.
I touched the necklace on my neck. I failed to mention to them that it works both ways. I can sense them, and thankfully, they are together. I was inside a cell with them the next moment. My legs wouldn't hold me up, and I stumbled. I don't know how long I was in bed, but I didn't want to wake Robert up. We haven't worked things out yet, and I don't have time to do it now. I was sure he wouldn't allow me to go get my daughter if he had his way about it. So I didn't ask. I just left. Cara jumped up to grab hold of me before I fell. "Mom, are you OK?" she cried out. I could hear the fear in her voice.
"I am OK. I just woke up and took off before getting my strength back. I just remembered what happened, and I couldn't leave you three alone with them. They have done enough damage to you with what they did to your parents. Let me rest for a moment, and I will take you three back home. We don't know who was involved in your abduction. My home is spelled and one of the safest places in the pack. I want you all to stay there until we can make sure that there is no longer a threat against you," I told them.
I rested for a few minutes and felt stronger; whatever they gave me in my IV really helped. I was feeling stronger by the minute. "I am ready to get you three to safety," I told them.
"I am not leaving you, Mom. I know that Alexei is here, and I want to help him. My strength is coming back, but not quickly enough. I managed to create a thin ice spear, but I don't want to leave my mate," Cara told me. I understood how she was feeling.
"Stay here. I will be back. I spelled the door. No one came come in here until I come back," I told her. I looked at Brenna and Luna, who both looked like they wanted to cry.
"Our mates are here now, too; we want to go to them," Brenna begged. I knew they did, but it was safest to do what I asked them to. I am their bonus mom now, and they are my responsibility.
"I know they are near, but they could be in danger. I know that Jaxon would rather you come with me and keep your pup safe. I promise you both that I will bring them to you as soon as we are done here," I told them. They didn't need to see what was about to happen here. The angrier I got, the strong my magic flowed through me.
"I will be right back," I told Cara, and the next minute, we were in my home. "Get a shower; I am putting clothes for you in Cara's bathroom and then getting some sleep. This kind of stress is not good for either of you, but especially for you, Brenna. There is food in the fridge. Let Raven know you are here so she can tell Jaxon and Kevin." I then left to go back to get my daughter.
I put out a tracker spell on Alexei, and we arrived outside a small home. I knew that we were still in Kamaria. I could hear someone speaking inside. I then sensed someone approaching me. I stopped as I recognized Polina before I froze her in place. I nodded at her and leaned over to whisper, "Stay put. I need to go deal with Jana and Anika now.""
Polina nodded at me, knowing I needed to do this too. I was so angry, not just at Robert, but at the sheer nerve Paxton had to do this to my daughter. I will get around to him. I needed to use my anger, which helped me return to where I needed to be. I can feel my power returning with every minute that passes. I suddenly sensed that Jana was about to try to kill Alexei. I could feel the shift in the air. She was furious. I could tell that if she couldn't have him, she wanted to ensure that Cara couldn't either.
Jana had already kidnapped my daughter and brought her to this horrible Alpha. How dare she also try to take Cara's mate from her? Jana had her back to me and never saw me coming. I pulled both her and Anika out of their house using my magic. I put the safety on the gun and put them in the sunlight. Their screams of pain rang out as I walked up to them. I had bound them so that they couldn't move. I was through playing with them. I should have killed Jana the day she approached Cara. A gun hung from Jana's hand as evidence of what she was about to do.
I had wanted Cara to be the one to end Jana. It is a life lesson to learn how to kill each different species. Once you knew how to do it, you hoped you would never have to use the power. I had wanted for Cara to have this moment for herself, but she didn't get treatment for the wolfsbane like I did. Her powers were not back yet, and she was not up to doing this herself. I was already back to full power and suddenly realized I was still in my hospital gown.
I snapped my fingers and was suddenly dressed, with my bag across my shoulder. I smiled at Jana and Anika as I reached into my bag to produce the stakes. I watched their eyes widen as they realized that they were going to die today. They tried to stop their screaming from the pain of the sun burning them, but we all knew it hurt.
"We will leave, I swear. Please give us another chance. Paxton forced us to do it," Jana screamed.
"That is a complete lie, Jana. Lena gave you her idea, and you thought it was a great plan. Get rid of Brenna and Cara, and then take their mates. That is all you two really wanted. Lena wanted to have Jaxon, and you wanted Alexei's money and power. You didn't do this to help Lena at all. You did this for you, and you enjoyed killing her. I can see what happened, Jana. You don't have to admit it. I may have lived outside the coven for five years, but I can read you and Anika like a book. You hurt my mate. Just know that whatever Saoirse does to you, you deserve it. I would have liked to end you myself, but I can see that her plan for you two is better," Anton announced.
They were blistering and burning from being in the sun. I knew they were miserable. Their screams had brought a patrol around to see what was happening. They didn't understand why five vampires and two witches were suddenly inside their pack. I don't have time to deal with them trying to stop me. I put a shield around them to keep them from calling for help and turned back to Jana and Anika.
"I let you off easy before, yet you abducted my daughter. I was there the day that you confronted Cara. I just wanted you to think that she was alone, to give you a false sense of security. I just wanted to see who had been following my daughter. I should have dealt with you that day, but I will rectify that now. Any last words?" I asked with a smirk.
"Please stop hurting us. We didn't even hurt her. We will leave here and never come back," Anika pleaded. I smiled at them before turning my back to them and looking over at Anton. He shook his head negatively, but I already knew she was lying. They would hunt Cara down until they managed to kill her, and we all knew it.
"You two just can't seem to stop with the lies now, can you?" I scoffed. Their skin had been burned badly by the sun. They were exhausted, and their screams had died down to whimpers. Jana was still glaring at me with hatred in her eyes. Anika was scared of what I would do to them, and she should be.
I turned my back on them again after I removed their bindings. They were hurting pretty badly but still managed to stand up. Turning your back on a vampire is usually the last thing that happens before you get killed. But I knew that they wouldn't be able to get to me fast enough. I ensured the sunlight did its job first to ensure I had enough power to deal with them.
"Cara, I had hoped that you would be able to be the one to do this, so just watch me so you will know what to do for the next time. I normally wouldn't make someone suffer, but you knowingly took three women away from their true mates. They helped bring you here, knowing full well what those jerks planned to do. Jana tried to kill Ivan and just now attempted to kill Alexei. We already know that you two will never willingly leave Cara alone, so you will have to be dealt with today," I told them.
Cara stood right behind me as she watched me raise them into the air and bring them over to me. I placed them both on the ground as I quickly stabbed a stake into each of their hearts. They screamed again in rage and frustration as I quickly came over to brace above Anika, placing my feet on her shoulders. Cara knew what I was about to do. She remembered her training. She did the same thing and braced her feet on Jana's shoulders. Cara nodded at me that she could do it. She seemed stronger now than she was earlier.
We both exerted ourselves and ripped their heads off cleanly. I let Anika's head roll away from her body, but Cara threw Jana's about ten feet away. I pulled the stakes up from their hearts and clenched my hands. Their bodies were crushed as I did it. I stepped back and nodded at Polina to take over now. I knew she was there at Alexei's request, and we needed her expertise. She set both their bodies on fire. Alexei crushed their skulls with his booted foot before returning to Cara.
Polina set their skulls on fire, and after, they burned for a little while. I put the fire out. We buried half their remains, and I had Polina ignite the rest after burying half of them. I put their skulls in smaller bags, as I would take them somewhere special to deal with them. I knew how to make sure a vampire would never return. I was exhausted now, and Cara and Alexei held me up. I am a little weak. I might catch a ride back to Black Adder after we deal with Paxton.
