Paxton's POV Wednesday afternoon

"What the hell was Lena thinking? She is such a stupid bitch. Why would she do this at the last minute? She almost ruined everything. I was not going to deal with this. I was going over everything with Rex's father. The plane was gassed up and ready to go. I had one of my warriors take Beta James SUV that we recovered when they ran, and drive it down there yesterday. He was meeting us at the airfield. The SUV was not needed for anything other than going to get everyone. The third row of seats would come in handy.

I was furious by what she had done, but I needed to complete this meeting. I told him that we would be back on Monday and that we were taking a few days off. There was no reason for them to question us about it. When we returned tonight, we would stay in Beta Clay's house, and the girls would be staying in the cells for a day or two. There was no way around it; we had to wait. The house was not completed yet.

I finished my meeting with Devin and locked my door back to speak to Rex and Clay privately. "I want to make sure that we don't have any more surprises today. It is noon now, and we will leave at three. It is less than a two-hour flight, but I want to get there early enough to make sure the plane is refueled while we are there. The pilots have to be ready to go at eight-thirty. I would rather they wait for us than vice-versa. I don't know how quickly they will be coming after us, so I want to come straight back to the airfield," I told them.

"We got it covered, Paxton. I know that you were worried after the call earlier. What happened?" Rex asked. He could always read me and knew that whatever had happened was not good.

"Lena's causing problems again. That bitch brought in another person at Black Adder. A witch this time. Whatever happened, the witch has been picked up and will be questioned. The Goddess blessed us, as they are not doing it today. They are preparing for the Luna ceremony. They will do it tomorrow," I told them.

"Paxton, did Lena tell her about our plan?" Rex asked me carefully. He could tell that I was pissed off. He asked the million-dollar question that was on all our minds.

"She did because she wanted to have an alibi when the shit went down. She approached me, yet she wanted to keep her hands clean. I can understand that, but she had gone too far this time. It is bad enough I had to agree to have the two bloodsuckers come here to live. Once people know about it, they are going to be furious. I still don't know how I will come up with a good enough reason to excuse giving them a roof over their head," I growled out.

Hell, I was scared of them too. They were dangerous, and I could be hurt by attacking them. I could, but my regular pack members wouldn't be able to. They would be terrified. I had no reason that I could explain why Jana and Anika were here. There was no way to downplay or work around it. I am supposed to keep my pack members safe and protected. Yet, I was clearly willing to not just house the vampires in a new house built especially for them. I was also willing to protect them from my pack members and any other threats.

I was screwed as my pack members will never accept them. Everyone in the Kamaria pack had been taught from a young age not to. I would just have to speak to them when I picked them up and make a deal with them. I needed them to lay low for a little while. Go outside our pack to feed. They could kill any rogue they came across. That was a given. It would make our pack stronger. After a year, I could bring them out. No one could say a thing about it, as no one in the pack would have been hurt by them.

Well, except for Lisa. I already know that bitch is planning to try to hurt Cara. I know her more than she thinks I do. I will go through my warriors after I come back. I will question them all under Alpha command. I will not allow Lisa to get the opportunity to harm Cara. She already had, on way too many instances. I will not allow it to happen one more time. I wanted the vampires to do it, but I may just have to deal with Lisa myself. Knowing her, she would run away from the vampires, screaming her head off and alerting the whole pack. "Go get your work done. You have three hours to do so and be ready to leave. While we are on the plane, we can figure out what we need to do next," I told them.

I wanted to leave now. I cannot wait to hold Cara in my arms. I have never been able to hold her like I wanted to before. I didn't tell the guys to pack clothes because I didn't think we needed much. I already set up some clothes for us in each of their bedrooms. It was not like we were going to need clothes anyway. I am sure that they will kick up a fuss at first. I already knew that I couldn't allow any of them to get to full strength. I had a few injections that we were going to use on them. We needed to help them relax. I had already spoken to Clay about what I expected from him. He had tried to touch Cara before, and I wanted to remind him that she was off-limits to him. I also warned him that he needed to take very good care of Luna.

I was still on the fence about how he had acted before. I had someone who could step in and replace him as my Beta. I hated that I had listened to Clay when he had come up with this plan at the beginning of the year. I would never have gone along with it, but I couldn't let Cara go. I wanted her badly. Eventually, I got to the point where I was willing to do anything just to have her.

I wanted her to be mine in every way. I wanted her heart, but I also wanted her mind, body, and soul. I wanted her to care for me just like I cared for her. I could not get my mind off of Cara, and I needed a release. Once I made plans for Cara to return, I stopped sleeping with the omegas.
