Biomorph
The Plan

The training room door slowly opened, and the tortured soul finally reached its destination. As they felt control of their body again, they broke down, sobbing, and curled up into a ball on the floor. They didn't want to go back.

When they felt the hand come down on their shoulder, they jumped, expecting to replace one of his usual tormentors. However, a face not unlike theirs was frowning down at them.

They never had managed to speak, because their vocal chords were damaged whilst they were being grown, but they pulled their arm up, and only one word was on the screen embedded in it. It read "Origin?"

Josh had been surprised to see what looked like a misshapen clone walk into the room, and more surprised to replace he didn't have a record of it, so he went over to comfort the poor thing.

However, when he touched the clone, it jumped, which caused him to frown. What had they done to this clone? And when was this clone made?

His thoughts were stopped, however, when he saw the word written on the screen. "Origin?"

By now, his family had gathered around, and his classmates were running to see what had happened.

"Yes, I am the 'Origin'. Now, who are you?"

The screen faded for a second, then came back on, with a sentence. "I am a sample taken from you."

"What's going on?"

Josh turned to see that Arthur and Joel were already reaching for their bags.

"Apparently, the last tissue sample they took from me was used to grow this." Josh said, whilst sidestepping to show them the clone.

At the sight of so many people, and all of whom seemed to be friendly, the clone straightened up a bit, and tried to look a little healthier. However, it couldn't hide the obvious facts written in it's sickly body.

"Ok, let's get you to a mat, and I can fully grow you out." Josh rolled his shoulders, and crouched down ready to lift the clone up.

The clone simply shook its head. The panel flared to life once more with a message: "Now that I have seen the Origin, I am satisfied. I will not be anyone's pawn anymore. Goodbye, Origin."

With that, it looked like the endoskeleton that they was built on injected them with something. After that, they smiled at Josh, and then the life went out of him.

As the clone slumped over, Josh stood up slowly, with the clone in his arms. Then, he turned, and walked out of the door.

"Where are you going?" asked Beta 10 as they ran after him.

"I will give him the best send of I am physically capable of. I will use protocol Zeta 6." Josh stated with watery eyes.

Then, with a serious look in his eyes, he asked " Beta 10, could you promise me that you won't follow, or allow anyone else to follow me?"

"I, I don't know. we're all curi-"

"Please don't. I know you want to know what this protocol is, but there's a few secrets I'd like to keep."

So saying, He walked off, leaving Beta 10 to try and hold back 20 or so interested people.

When the General received the alert that His clone had killed itself, he was incredulous for a minute or so. Where did he get the courage to do that.

However, he snapped out of that quickly, and accessed the video log. And for the last minute, the main person on the video log was Beta 42. He had arrived.

The General wasn't quite ready, so he started the activation of Defense Project Alpha 4. You didn't get much better than those. Also, if they couldn't stop one person, they couldn't hold up against an army.

After finally convincing Beta 10 to let them past, the group crept up to the door, and saw one of the oddest sights they had seen. Instead of a dead body, they saw a healthy animal, enjoying itself chasing after the shadows on the floor.

As for what animal it was, It seemed to be a hybrid of all animals that would be considered common pets. It was medium size, with a furry body, a scaly tail, a mouth full of sharp fangs, and some vicious-looking claws.

At that moment, the creature noticed them, opened its mouth, … and no sound came out. Or, no sound normal humans could hear.

There was a being who could hear it, however, and he poked his head out of the side room he had been in, and saw the crowd by the door.

"You really couldn't stop them, huh? Well, thank goodness I used protocol Omega 9 instead. Zeta 6 is not for … That idiot!"

The group jumped at the sudden exclamation.

"What is it?" asked Amy and Silvia, suddenly losing interest in the cute animal that had resumed its game.

"The General has activate Defense Project Alpha 4!"

Seeing the blank looks on peoples faces, he sighed.

"A giant, killer, robot, built into the middle of the city. To stop it, I'm going to Body Swap. lease watch this one carefully. I'll come back for it later."

"Wait, what?"

Josh groaned, as he stared above their heads.

"Look, I have to go stop this Robot. I can't run there quick enough. I have a clone there. I will put my mind in that body. It's simple. "

"We're going to help!" shouted Beta 43 and Ayla almost simultaneously.

"You will! Put my body in the testing chamber in the bottom floor. I'll guide the General to it if I can." Josh explained, as he also reached behind his head to grab at something. His hand came back with a moist flash drive, which he plugged into the wall terminal.

"AIMEe, please watch them. Also, pull me back from the edge if I go too far. You know what I mean."

With those parting words, the eyes seemed to lose that living sparkle, and became dull and glassy. Also, its posture slouched, and the hands swung uselessly by its side.

"AIMEe, initiate full lockdown. Also, please command the clone to wait in the chamber. " The Major stepped out of the side room, and walked past the shocked faces.

"Well, are you going to stand there, or are you going to catch up to him?" he asked.

"The train goes out this far?" asked Beta 43, incredulous.

The Major grinned, and winked. "Try the Hyperloop."
