Lisa p.o.v.

Making sure I wasn’t being followed I covered up my tracks and slowly made the journey to reach Ace’s mansion. I needed to make sure I wasn’t walking into a trap or leading the enemy straight to my doorstep. Especially if it meant putting Aiden in harm’s way. Finally reaching the mansion gave me an unexpected safe feeling. I never thought I would ever think that, or even admit it to myself. I walk up to the front gate. The guards put their defenses up as they sensed someone approaching. Their demeanor slightly changed when they saw me and opened the gates without a word from me. I noticed one of them grabbing the phone. Probably alerting Ace or Vik. Not giving it a second thought I walked onto the estate. Holding my breath I enter the code to the elevator. The elevator opened up revealing I sight I wouldn’t have imagined in a hundred years.

Ace was in front of Aiden’s room, facing a closed door. Even though I couldn’t see his face I felt how angry he was.

“I’m giving you a last chance to open up... Aiden.” He growled. What has gotten into him?

“Ace? What the hell are you doing?” I finally spoke up. He turned around hearing my voice looking absolutely surprised. His mouth gaped open. He opened and closed his mouth a few times trying to come up with something to say I assume. Ignoring him I push him aside and start talking to Aiden through the door.

“Aiden… monkey… Your mama is here open the door sweetheart.” It took a few moments but I finally heard the click and entered the room carefully not knowing what to expect. When my eyes landed on him I wanted to murder someone. I immediately engulfed him in a hug and he started sobbing. My heart broke seeing his face. I picked him up and held him till he calmed down. By then he fell asleep in my lap. After a while I carefully put him on the bed leaving the room out for some blood.

Ace was on his phone barking orders as he paced through the living room. I didn't have any patience left so I angrily took the phone from his hands, disconnecting the call and throwing it on the couch.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Daleyza?” His anger vibrated through the air. Why did his deep voice send shivers up my spine? Ignoring those feelings I locked my eyes with his. His eyes betrayed him and showed all the emotions he tried to hide, anger, happiness, lust, worry they were all there.

“Why the hell was my son crying?” I squinted my eyes daring him to lie. He let out a heavy breath.

“Owh he is your son alright. So stubborn.” He shook his head trying to mask his amusement.

“This isn’t funny Ace. You made him cry and I don’t like seeing him like that. What happened?”

“He fucking missed you and I didn’t have answers… Happy?” he scowled. “I have no fucking idea how to deal with a 7 year old.”

“Deal with a 7 year old? He is your son, Ace… you should know how to talk to him. Not deal with him.” I growled pushing him back. “I swear to god if I replace out you hurt him you’re going to pay for it!” Punching him he staggered back a bit. I was channeling my inner madness. And then he did the one thing I least expected. He grabbed my wrists with his hands, pulling me closer he placed his lips on mine. It all happened so fast I had no idea what happened. Pulling back he grinned.

“I fucking missed you.” His hoarse voice just turned a switch in me and all of the sudden I was hot and bothered.

I pushed him away not trusting my voice or actions around him. Why did he affect me like that?

“Where do you think you’re going? We need to talk.”

“I’m going to Aiden.” I managed to get out. He nodded.

“You can go, but I need some details first.”

“Fine.”

The elevator opened revealing Vik and Lea. Lea enveloped me in a hug and it felt nice.

“Good to see you pretty lady.” Vik winked at me earning a growl from Ace making me smile. I missed their stupid banter.

“So are you going to tell us what happened?” Ace said impatiently. I was about to speak up when I remembered something. Mateo managed to bug our apartment. I didn’t know it till the day of my escape when I noticed the security footage of our apartment. So I shook my head.

“No, I’m too tired and drained. I’m going to bed.” I turned around when Ace appeared in front of me.

“Daleyza…” he looked furious. I didn’t know how to say it to him without looking or sounding suspicious. So I just hugged him and whispered it in his ear. His body went rigid for a moment and then he picked me up. “I think you two should leave. We’ll talk tomorrow.” Ace said to Vik and went to our room without waiting for their answer. Without another word I entered the bathroom and took a much needed shower. When I came out of the bathroom Ace was on his laptop doing god knows what. I grabbed my jeans and took the flash drive from the pocket. I managed to get some details off their server when I tried shutting the security off for my escape. He frowned at it, but I didn’t give him a chance to say anything. I walked out straight into Aiden’s room and curled up against him. I really missed him. I was almost asleep when I felt the side of the bed dip and felt Ace lying down. For some reason I felt completely at home and I entered a blissful sleep after a long time.
