Can't Resist the Billionaire -
Chapter 67 Forced Love
The restaurant looked quite ordinary from the outside, but it wasn't ordinary at all inside. After entering it, we saw a garden filled with fruits and vegetables, which were all carefully grown and looked very nice. The courtyard was quite big. We had to walk a long way before we enter inside.
The courtyard was very quiet. There were not many people here. Probably, besides the deliciousness and high price of the dishes, the lack of notoriety is one of the reasons for its quietness.
Seeing me and Vincent coming from a distance, the restaurant owner quickly greeted us with a smile. "Mr. Johnson, why not tell me in advance so I can get prepared!"
Vincent smiled and said, "No worries. It's just an interim decision. It's my girlfriend!"
Hearing this, the owner immediately looked at me and praised, "Your girlfriend is really beautiful. This is the first time you have brought a girlfriend to dinner, Mr. Johnson. You must love each other so much!" Vincent naturally felt at ease at his words. He couldn't help hugging me and proudly saying, "Of course it took me a long time to make Jasmine my girlfriend!"
I was a little embarrassed by his shameless words. I then bowed my head and said nothing. The owner laughed with Vincent and then went into the kitchen. I followed Vincent down the inner hall and entered a very elegant private room.
The decoration of the private room was very classical. A waiter had already brought us fragrant tea. Vincent gentlemanly poured me tea and asked casually, "Have you brought your ID card?"
I looked up at him puzzledly and asked, "Yes, what's wrong?"
Upon hearing this, Vincent smiled with satisfaction. He said, "Okay then. After lunch, I'll take you to Mr. Murphy. The villa will be under your name!"
My mind went blank for a moment as I didn't understand what he meant. Then I asked, "You... what do you mean?"
Vincent rolled his eyes and said somewhat angrily, "Are you stupid? I will buy the villa for you!"
"I don't want it!" I angrily placed the teacup on the table and angrily said, "Vincent, are you insane? That mansion is worth at least twenty million. Why you want to buy it for me?" Vincent was so angry at my "meekness" that he was almost about to hit me. He stared at me for a minute until I started to panic, then he ask: "Jasmine, do you hate my gift that much?"
"No, it's just that this gift is too expensive. I can not afford it!" I told him sternly, with a cold expression, "Vincent, I know your family is rich, but you shouldn't spend money like this. I, Jasmine, I'm really not worthy of you doing this. Twenty million, how long can you let me go? Is five or ten years enough? I do not have that much energy to waste on you!"
"D*mn it, why you're not listening to me?" Vincent shook his head in exasperation and sighed, feeling powerless in the face of my stubbornness. "What the hell are you thinking in your head? I'm buying this just want you to have a better, more comfortable, and safer life with me. How can this be a physical exchange?"
"That's not what I mean, Vincent. I..."
Seeing that Vincent was becoming agitated, I quickly lowered my voice, intending to explain. At that moment the door of the private room suddenly opened. It turned out that the restaurant himself came to deliver the dishes.
Suddenly there were three people in the room. Vincent and I quietly stopped arguing at the same time. The owner must have sensed that the atmosphere between us was a little strange, so with a few words, he put the dishes on table and walked out. As he left, he said kindly to Vincent, "Mr. Johnson be peaceful when you're eating. If you have a problem, you should talk
about it after the meal..."
Knowing what he meant, Vincent smiled and said politely, "I'm fine, uncle William. You may go!"
The owner looked at me and Vincent, then closed the door and walked out. Probably because what the owner had said, the furious Vincent suddenly became calm again.
"Don't think too much. I will give it to you as I say. Do not worry about anything else!" Although his tone was calm, his attitude was still a bit arrogant.
I really didn't want to accept this, so I said earnestly to him, "Vincent, you..."
"Shut up and eat!" Vincent ordered in a cold tone.
Seeing that I was finally surrendered, he sighed slightly, then added some dishes for me on the plate in front of me, saying, "Eat. This dish is very good. It was planted by Williams himself without using any pesticide."
"Oh, okay!" Seeing a trace of
displeasure show on his face, I had to lower my head and eat in silence Vincent reached out to take the bag next to me while I ate. When I was wondering what he intended to do, he pulled out my ID card and took it right from me.
I rolled my eyes. Now I knew what he was going to do. "There is no need, isn't it! I'll go with you this afternoon!"
"I don't trust you. Let me keep your ID card!" As he said this, he put my ID card in his wallet.
When I saw him take my ID card away, I suddenly realised that he might never return it to me.
"If you give my ID back, I'll go with you in the afternoon, okay?" I was afraid he was going to take it away forever. If so, I wouldn't even be able to buy a ticket to leave the city.
As expected, Vincent had no intention of returning it to me. He just smiled slightly, pretending not to hear and said, "Eat, or the dishes will be cold!"
"Vincent, how could you do this?" At last I have seen through his tricks, which made me a bit angry. I then reached out to grab his wallet, wanting to get my card back.
Seeing me approaching, he grabbed me and pulled me to his side. His movement was so fast that I had no time to react.
"Do you want me to feed you?" Vincent said as he placed some food into my mouth. He smiled wickedly and said, "Eat quickly. If you're full, I'll have you feed me later!"
I automatically ignored what it meant to feed him. I grabbed his wallet and successfully took it out. "You are a rogue!"☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
