Captured By A Ruthless Vampire King
|53|~You Are Dead To Me Too~

Unedited.

Cyrus’s POV.

“Nicklaus,” says Xander warningly from right behind us. “Cyrus,” he says next. “The both of you need to get it together and fast. A summons has been issued with all of our names on it. Kill each other if you must but the both of your beloveds will be left behind, running for their lives without either of you here to protect them. This is the time that we need each other the most, rather you like it or not,”

I turn my angry gaze on Xander. My vision red and bloody. “The council doesn’t know shit about my beloved,”

“That maybe true,” he says. “For now, but the last time I’ve checked The Lycan Prince is requesting an audience with the council, searching for a Wilde wolf with the most wonderful shade of hazel eyes,”

“Sound familiar,” he dares to say.

Wordlessly, I dart over in front of him. “What the fuck are you trying to say,” growls my monster.

“You know exactly what I’m trying to say,” he speaks with caution. “The council may not know about Embry at this moment but they shall soon replace out and then what? Y’all be in the same predicament. So as I said before we all need each other more than ever at the moment. I suggest the two of you place your differences aside to work together and focus on the bigger picture,”

I don’t respond right away as my monster and I think over his words. He’s right, even though I hate to admit it. That’s the only reason why I’ll continue to deal with them. After that, I’m done for good. Fuck this crown. Fuck Nicklaus and Fuck whoever fucks with him!

“You’re right,” I admit after a second. “I’ll let this shit go for now but after that I’m done with this shit,”

“What do you mean,” Marcellus is the one to question me as I walk towards the door.

“You heard me! I’m done with this shit,” I growl while turning around to place my eyes onto Nicklaus. “You are dead to me. We’re done,” I say before zooming out of the room.

Within a second, I’m at the front door with my security detail following close behind me. Only to come face to face with the last person I expected to see.

Ravana.

“So it’s true then,” she growls with glowing violet eyes, getting straight to the point. The pain that she is currently experiencing is evident. Betrayal and heartbreak can be identified all over her face. Her heart is broken.

I turn around to face my security detail. “Give us a moment,” I demand and before I turn back around to face Ravana again. They are gone.

“What are you doing here?” I question her. She has been stationed elsewhere for a reason. I wanted her as far away from Embry as possible. At least until I figured out away to break the news to her. Now, don’t get me wrong Ravana is a good woman. I said this once and I’ll say it again the loyalty that this immortal holds for me is unquestionably.

She will never do anything to intentionally hurt me, but she’s still a vampire. We tend to act extremely repulsive when shit doesn’t go our way. I don’t have time for any type of outburst that would lead to a lapsed of better judgment on Ravana end. Things shall not go well for her if that happens.

I don’t need that right now and neither does Embry. We have just got back on good terms and I plan to keep it that way.

My past with Ravana will hurt Embry. I can’t have that either. I refuse to bring her any more heartbreak.

“Where did you expect me to be? As far away from your beloved as possible, I assume,” She spits each one of her words out with so much venom.

“Typical Cyrus, you didn’t even have the balls to face me after you hurt me once again,”

“I never meant to hurt you, Ravana,” I speak from the heart. I didn’t but to be fair Embry is my beloved.

“But you did,” she snaps. “That’s exactly what you did. You promised me that I would be your Queen.”

I release a heavy sigh. “Now Ravana you know that is not true,” I tell her because it’s not. I never promised Ravana anything other than what we had. She knows that. I made myself perfectly clear that I wouldn’t allow any women to stand beside me other than my beloved. Now, I did tell her that I would never go look for my beloved and I didn’t.

Embry just blew in with the wind and that wasn’t my fault either. That was destiny knocking on my front door and I had no choice but to answer its call.

Ravana never had a title and never would. She knew that too. That was the main reason why she left my bed in the first place. Now, I do care for her but I care for my beloved more, if that makes me the bad guy than so be it. Embry is my beloved. She was meant for me just like I was meant for her.

I’ve been fighting this battle within myself since the first day that I’ve met her. Those days are long gone. I will no longer hide my feelings for my beloved from anyone, and I could give a single fuck about who doesn’t like it.

“What’s not true,” she whispers. Her eyes are glowing brighter by the second. She’s going to lose it. I need to calm her down and fast. I don’t need any more incidents around my so-called brothers.

I take a single step forward, and she takes a single step back. At this moment, her witch heritage can be identified thanks to her big and bright violet eyes. They are violent. They glisten with uncontrollable hatred and unshed tears. Her lips are also quivering. She’s itching to hurt me with her words. I know it. I can sense the urgency that she feels to cause me pain, even if it’s the slightest. She wants me to feel what she is feeling. She wants me to truly understand the pain that I put her through. I hate the look on her face.

She really does deserve true h appiness, even though I’m incapable of providing her with what she wants.

My ears pick up on movement from behind me. My monster takes in the new scent. It’s Count Clown. I knew Nicklaus was going to send one of his errand boys after me sooner than later.

Ravana eyes lock with the clown. She’s an honorable girl, even when she doesn’t want to be. She manages to muster up a slight bow before placing her focus back onto me.

“Can we go somewhere a little more private?” I ask her. I don’t want to hurt her more than I already have but it’s time to get this over with. Her jaw locks but she doesn’t respond. She once again manages to muster up a slight bow, showing respect for me even though she obviously has none at this point and then takes off in the direction of the forest.

“What the fuck do you want?” I spit, placing my now crimson vision on to him. The clown.

“I’m just here to deliver a message,” he tells me with his natural crimson stare. His eyes are always red. It’s a part of his power. He has no split personality. He is just him. A lot of the respected and wealthy household members are like him. Red eyed privileged ass holes.

They are the ones who tend to hate the humans race the most, due to being unable to blend in with them before the time of the Awakening. Nicklaus has sworn up and down that Count Clown is nothing like those privileged ass holes but Nicklaus doesn’t really have the best judge in character. Now, does he?

“I don’t have time for chit-chat,” I say while turning my back on him. “Get on with your message, errand boy,”

My sensitive ears pick up on him clenching his jaw. It’s obvious that he doesn’t take my disrespect lightly but wouldn’t dare act out on his current emotions. The Clown isn’t stupid. I will end him without any hesitation, and he knows it.

“It’s an invitation,” he spits through clenched teeth. “For a feast of the brothers,”

Oh, really! A feast of the brother, um now that is interesting. I take it as that Nicklaus is calling the feast just to confirm who will remain loyal to him now that he has claimed Claire. That sounds like the perfect opportunity to piss him off and show our brothers exactly how much I could careless about our so-called brotherhood.

“I have no brothers to feast with,” I tell him before taking off after Ravana.

Embry’s POV.

“Who did this to you?” growls out Celine wolf as she tightens her hold around my wrist. The love and undivided devotion in her expression not even a second ago is replaced with uncontrollable fury. Her eyes are glowing pure gold.

“Embry,” growls out my wolf, ready to take action at once.

“No! I’m fine,” I quickly tell her off before questioning Celine. “Who did what Celine? Please, let go your hurting me,” I plead, trying to pull away. I don’t want to use my wolf strength against her. She’s my favorite cousin. That isn’t our way...

“Who forcefully marked you?” she growls louder. Too loud, if I don’t get her to calm down one of Cyrus men will hear us. Hold on, wait! Did she just say forced?

“Embry,” her wolf growls louder regaining my attention. “Who forcefully claimed you?” She demands to know.

“Tell her the truth, Embry,” growls out my wolf. “Now before I do,”

“No wait,”

Celine tight hold around my wrist becomes tighter, if that’s even possible as she begins to pull me away. “I’m getting you out of here now and then I’m going to kill them all,” growls out her wolf.

“Our warriors will claim each and every single vampire life inside that house before the moon falls,”

No. I can’t let that happen. “Celine, please listen,”

“They shall all die,” she roars, down right refusing to listen to me. At this moment Celine is gone. Her wolf has taken over. “Your traumatized,” she says. “There is no need to be scared of them, Embry. I promise you that they all she pay,”

“Celine, you have to listen to me,” I plead again while tripping up over my own to feet. “Please calm down,”

“Don’t tell me to calm down,” she snaps at me. “Not only did they rape you and forcefully claim you. They brainwashed you as well but it’s okay. I’m going to take care of you, Embry starting with us taking our revenge,” she promises. “The Ruthless Vampire King shall die first. That’s his estate, you know. Well of course you do. He held you captive but it’s going to be okay because your dad is on his way. He will end him tonight,”

My heart drops.

“No,” my wolf gets the best of me, pushing Celine off us with such force she goes flying into the tree. Celine lands on to the tree trunk with a loud thump. The scent of her blood floats heavily in the air and that’s when I hear footsteps running in our direction. My wolf nostrils flare widely as she takes in the fresh scent of incoming vampires. Celine’s eyes are in the midst of flicking from golden to brown. It appears she too is fighting with her wolf.

“Why would you do that,” I snap at my wolf as I take back control over my body and run in Celine direction. Oh, my Goddess! “Celine,” I cry out while helping her stand to her feet. Cyrus’ men are getting closer, maybe a couple of minutes away.

“Why the hell would you do that?” she growls in between clenched teeth as her nostril flare widely. She takes a deep whiff of the air.” They are coming,” she says. Her eyes are now golden. Her wolf is back in control. “Get behind me now, I’ll protect you,”

“Stop this, Embry,” growls my wolf. She thinks that you are traumatized. You need to tell her now, all the prolonging that you are doing will only hurt her more. Tell her,”

“I.. I.. I.,” I try to replace my voice. What is wrong with me? Everything is just happening so fast. I can’t.

“Embry, tell her now,” growls out my wolf. Cyrus’s men are now less than a second away. Celine pushes me behind her and my wolf continues to growl but no matter how much I try to speak up. I can’t. It’s like all of a sudden I’m mute. I know that my wolf is right. I need to tell her. Celine needs to know that I’m Cyrus mate and that I accepted him willingly.

My heart is pounding the alarm inside my chest and my ear drums are ringing. I place my hands over top of my chest in attempts to call myself down. It feels like I can’t breathe. The world is spinning around me.

“Breathe in,” Embry my wolf growls or maybe it’s Celine wolf. I don’t know.

“It’s okay, Embry,” I hear Celine wolf attempt to sooth me. “I’m right here, no one will hurt you. Not anymore,”

That did it. My wolf officially looses her patients. She claws her way out to the surface, so she can break the news to my favorite cousin herself but it’s just a little too late. At the same, moment that my wolf takes control Cyrus men appears.

“What do we have here,” growls a very familiar voice. “Death Trap,”

Cyrus’s POV.

It takes me less than three minutes to catch up with Ravana. We are now at the cabin where the prisoners are located.

I can sense my security detail scattered all around here. They are trying their best to be discrete and give us our privacy.

“Ravana, wait,” I call out, grabbing on to her hand, “Just hear me out,”

She snatches away from me and sends her other hand flying in the direction of my face, smacking the fuck out of me.

“Get the fuck off of me,” she snaps raising her hand to issue out another attack but this time I’m ready for her. I catch her hand in mid-swing.

My monster gets the best of me as my vision taints red.

“I suggest you take a minute to remember who the fuck I am,”

“I know exactly who you are.” Ravana’s voice sounds gruff. Her monster has officially claimed her thoughts. I turn around, giving myself a second to calm down. I don’t want to hurt her but.....

She’s allowing her emotions to get in the way with her head. Ravana always knew exactly how far to push me. Ravana takes a step in my direction. She’s truly believes that she is time enough for me.

“You’re a piece of shit. How could you do this to me?” Her voice now sounds half broken. “How could you claim another when I’m the one who’s been down for you since day one. I gave you my mind, body, and soul. I sacrificed everything for you,”

My monster doesn’t like her tone and neither do I but still I manage to keep him at bay for her sake.

“That’s your foolishness,” I tell her the truth before I realize how fucked up I sound. Fuck. She really doesn’t deserve it. I can sense her tears flowing down her face. I can feel her pain within our bond. She’s hurting but my monster doesn’t care. I on the other hand am a different story.

I meant it when I said that my intentions was never meant to hurt Ravana but Embry is the one. I can’t control my true hearts desire. Trust me. I tried and it has proven to be mission fucking impossible.

A full minute goes by before her sob finally comes to an end. Fuck I hate this. I’m not good with dealing with other emotions, nor have I ever cared to be until my beloved managed to unfreeze my heart. I’m trying to be a better person for her.

Embry wouldn’t want me to make this situation worse than it already is. She would want me to show compassion. Whatever, the hell that is! I take a deep breath and attempt the possible. It’s a start, right? “I’m sorry, Ravana,” I breathe out, while turning back around to face her.

“Sorry for what?” she snaps. “For feeding me lies,”

“I told you that I couldn’t be who you wanted me to be Ravana. I’ve never promised you anything and was always honest with you. I’ve been real with you since day one,”

“You will never claim a soul, you said. You will never give anyone your heart, you said,” she reminds me.

“I said that I will not claim a soul that wasn’t meant for me,” I snap. My monster is losing his patience.

“So, she’s meant for you!”

“Yes! She is,” I calmly say.

“How so,” she demands to know. She sounds broken. “I’ve known you for centuries. I’ve served many life sentences pleasing you. Why wasn’t I enough for you? I was never enough for you,” she pours out her heart to me. “What is so special about this girl? Does she come from a wealthier family than me? Does she accept your play boys ways?” she questions me, while pacing back and forth.

“It has nothing to do with wealth and you know that,” I attempt to smooth things over.

“So it’s true then,” she continues to shout, while storming into the cabin filled with prisoners. “She’s not even a vampire. Your dick will be filled with ticks and fleas,” she insults.

My monster goes crazy, but I decide to let that slide for one reason and one reason only. Ravana clearly isn’t thinking straight. I can see that she’s struggling to contain her monster. I don’t want to push her, maybe we should have this conversation once she can think with a clear head.

“This isn’t going anywhere,” I tell her, following behind her.

The prisoners start to growl as they sense my presence. Great! Now, she wants to become the dog’s entertainment. My eyes lock onto the Northern Bitch Luna? She’s still alive for now... interesting. The Northern bitch growls and I give her the finger. Fuck you bitch, Fuck you!

“You would very much so want to fuck her, wouldn’t you?” Ravana insults with glowing violent violet eyes and I immediately catch on. Yup! It’s time to go.

Shit is about to go from bad to worst. I will not allow her to disrespect my beloved and I know for a fact that it’s coming. So to avoid this conflict from escalating it’s time to go. That’s would be the Embry thing to do. I’m trying to be better for her I continue to remind myself.

“My apology is as sincere as it comes,” I say my final words. “I hope one day that you can replace it in your heart to forgive me,”

“I will never forgive you,” she values.

“Than so be it!” I yell, while turning around to walk away. At this point she can think what she wants. “I don’t get what you want from me,” she’s acting as if I’m her beloved.

“I want you to love me back,” she yells, stopping me in my tracks. “I want you to love me like I love you,” she almost whispers, creating an audible silence. Even the prisoners are absolutely stunned.

Those three words aren’t to be taken lightly in the vampire community. Those words are dedicated to our beloveds.... Our blessing from the Blood God.

What am I supposed to say to that? Every one knows that Ravana feelings for me ran deeper than my feelings for her but to say that she loves me. ... I don’t know what to say to that.

I slowly turn around to face her. It takes a while before I’m able to respond. “I’m truly sorry that I caused you so much pain. If I knew that your feelings ran that deep, I would have ended what we had before it even began. The only benefit that I shall seek from my union is true love,”

“I didn’t mark my mate because of her wealth, status, or vulnerabilities. I marked her because she is my beloved,”

“Who is she?” Her voice is loud enough that I’m sure that every vampire, slave, and prison from miles and miles away are able to hear her. “Who is the lucky bitch that was claimed by the Ruthless King,”

“Choose your next words wisely,” I warn. My monster is back. I know that her emotions has gotten the best of her, but if Ravana doesn’t tread lightly her emotions shall be the least of her problems. My monster will end her and I won’t do anything to stop him, past lover or not. No one will disrespect my beloved.

Ravana’s head goes flying back as her wicked laughter fills the air. “Choose your next words wisely,” she repeats. “Your beloved is a dog. A fucking animal that belongs in the cage along with these animals,” she mocks, while looking over each and every prisoner that is present.

Red hues are dancing along my visions, I’m trying to hold my monster back. She is playing with fire. “Ravana,” I warn.

“Ravana,” she childishly mocks. “What’s wrong, my King? The truth hurts, doesn’t it? Who would have ever thought, King Cyrus the Ruthless King should be paired with nothing but a mutt. Your dick will be filled with nothing but fleas and tics,”

“Enough!” I snarl. I had enough of this shit. Fuck her. I turn around to walk away once again, any ounce of sympathy I had for this immortal is long gone. In all honesty, I’m holding myself back from permanently ending this love triangle bull shit once and for all.

“My words should be the least of your worries,” she warns from behind, officially waking my monster. “That bitch, whoever she maybe life belongs to me,” she says and then boom.

With a loud furious roar, I turn around to face her, wasting no time charging in her direction.

She’s dead.

Embry POV.

“Death trap,” growls Celine with glowing gold eyes, sizing every one of Cyrus men up. If looks could kill, all of them would be dead. She has no fear. “Stay the fuck away from her or I shall end you,”

Gutter releases a laugh. A creepy laugh, sounding exactly how he described his species early on today. Creepy! Right now, his normal ocean blue eyes are the same exact shade as the Red Sea.

“I’m sorry, doggy,” he teases. “That Wilde wolf belongs to my King, as well as your life,”

“Come get it then,” she growls, while lowering her body and preparing for a fight.

Gutter lips curve into a wicked smirk. He’s ready and so is the rest of Cyrus men. They begin to circle us. Things are about to go from bad to worst.

“Embry,” growls my wolf. She wants me to do something but what can I do? I can barely breathe. I close my eyes, attempting to calm myself done.

“You need to put your big girl underwear on and act like the fucking Queen that you are meant to be,” she snaps with a growl.

“I don’t want to lose her,” I admit to my wolf and myself as tears begins to prickle from underneath my shut eyelids.

“I know,” whispers my wolf. “But we shall lose her either way,”

She’s right. She’s always right.

A second goes by and Celine releases a menacing growl. “Embry,” says Celine through our mind link, catching me off guard. “I know that you are not in the best shape but you have to fight. We have to do this together,”

“Are you with me?” She questions me.

“I- I- I-,”

“You what,” she snaps. “The questing is simple. It’s either us or them. You have to fight,” she demands.

“No,” I tell her out loud, earning a growl from her wolf as she turns around to face me. Out of my parallel vision I notice Gutter entire body goes tense.

“What do you mean no?” she’s questions me as her wolf golden eyes once again fall down onto my mark in that exact same moment one of Cyrus men decides to charge.

“Stand down,” shouts out Gutter but it’s a little to late. Celine turns around just in time and sends her fist flying out in the vampire’s direction, grabbing his heart and then yanking the organ out of his chest. She killed in just like that.

She is a Wilde. Celine’s lips forms a dazzling smile as her wolf Golden eyes shines brighter than the sun. A choir of growls fills the air before they all charge in our direction, including Gutter.

“No,” I scream in the exact same moment that my wolf releases a chilling roar of her own. She takes over my body completely, pushing Celine out the way and meeting the red eye monsters head on.

“Stand the fuck down,” growls my wolf. “Now, or deal with my mate,” she declares, for all to hear and it works, surprisingly enough. The vampires freeze in place as my sensitive ears detect my cousin picking herself up off the forest floor.

“Your mate,” growls her wolf, regaining my attention. I turn back around to face her. My cousin... my best friend... my sister as I somehow replace the strength to tell her the truth.

“Yes,” I tell her. “My mate,”

Her golden eyes immediately falls down onto my mark once again, only to study it for a long-drawn-out moment before a new realization kicks in.

“No,” her voice is no more than a whisper. “No, tell me it’s not true,”

“It’s true,” I whisper back. “I wasn’t marked by force, Celine. This was my decision,”

“Who is your mate,” she growls, as she burns me with her stare followed by a new-found warmth rising inside my chest.

" Who is your mate, Embry,” she snaps, taking a step closer to me. Her body is shaking. She’s a ticking time bomb seconds away from exploding. I can see the invisible steam floating from her head into the air.

All of a sudden, a flush of heat rushes through my veins. It feels like I’ve suddenly been thrown into a river of flames. My wolf howls within me. The flame so bright, it’s burning my skin from within. I can’t speak even if I wanted to.

“What’s happening to us,” I question my wolf.

“That’s not us,” she says. “It’s our mate. He’s coming,”

“What?”

“Just breathe,” she directs. “Just breathe,”

“Okay,” I growl, taking a deep breath.

She was right. The air that I breathe in becomes my savior.

The burning flame within is suddenly distinguished. It now feels like a small piece of burning wood in a dying fire but I can manage. I’m good.

“Death trap,” warns Gutter, regaining my attention. He take’s a step in Celine direction.

“Come one, leech. Come get your issue,” she growls back.

“Stay out of this,” I snap at him, without breaking eye contact with Celine. She is also still staring at me. Her chest rises and falls. She’s truing her best to keep her best at bay. This is why I love her so much. She’s trying for me.

Hopeful, I can get Celine to calm down completely. Cyrus is on his way, I can feel his presence within me.

“You’re giving them orders now,” growls her wolf. Celine wolf is in full control, but her human side is still present.

“Celine,” I reach out to her human side. “Can you please calm down, for me.”

Everyone around us watch the scene in complete silence. I can also sense their need to intervene and protect me, just like ho w I can sense Celines human curiosity.. That’s most likely the only reason why she’s still speaking to me. I watch her golden eyes turn brown.

Her beast is at bay, for now!

“Calm down,” she yells. “Calm down,” she mocks. “Don’t you dare tell me to calm down when I risked my life to come replace you, only to replace that your not being held by the enemy. You are the enemy,”

“Celine that’s not f…,”

“Who is your mate,” she interrupts me again as the wind blows in the most intoxicating scent. Mulberry spice. He’s here. Almost, instantly my heart rate picks up a need for speed.

“Who is your mate?” she asks me again as I turn around to face him. Cyrus! My mate is now standing right here.

“I’m her mate,” he announces, grabbing my hand, which immediately calms down my racing heart.

Gutter and the rest of the vampires bow down, showing their respect as my mate reaches kisses the back of my hand. "Everything will be okay, Sunshine," his words appear inside my head, slightly shocking me but before I could respond he turns around to face Celine.

“Embry Destiny Wilde belongs to me,”

“And who the fuck are you,” says my cousin, taking another step closer, refusing to show any ounce of fear.

“Cyrus, please,” I plead out loud, gaining his undivided attention.

“Cyrus?” questions Celine.

“Yes, I’m Cyrus,” answers my mate completely ignoring me. “Embry is the Queen who belongs me. I believe your people love to call me the Ruthless King,”

Silence. Everyone and everything around us is silent, including the wind. It’s like the world has stopped around us.

I turn back around to face my cousin, coming in contact with a single teardrop trailing down her angelic face.

“Celine I,”

“You’re dead to me,” she growls before she shifts into her full fledged wolf and then charge.
