Celestials
Prologue

The Certus had been awakened. She could feel it. They all could feel it.

That meant the Everto knew about it too. She must get to the Certus before them. The last victory had been the Everto’s and she would not let that happen again. The earth was full of chaos; one disaster after another and empathy for their fellow man severely lacking in humans. She would not let the Everto win again. She had waited long enough. The wait prolonged because of the Ego Captus.

The Ego Captus.

That had been unfortunate. Something that rarely occurred but sometimes could not be helped. Some people weren’t strong enough to handle what was inside of them.

It was also going to make the Certus harder to track. They couldn’t follow the essence from one body to the next. There was no clear indication where it would turn up.

The power that radiated from the Certus was strong. Perhaps this is the one they had talked about. The Prophecy that was to solve it all - the Certus that would save them from this constant war. As long as she could get the Certus to do what she wanted it to.

She looked at the serene blue sky. This time the victory would be hers. There would be no stopping her. Nothing would get in her way.

She just had one problem. A problem that had lingered on for centuries and centuries – the Incomitatus. Something she and the Everto thought would disappear but it only grew stronger every time the Certus appeared. She had to make certain they found the Certus before the Everto or the Incomitatus did. This time she would not lose to either of them.

The earth would not survive another generation of discord. Or confusion. That’s what the Incomitatus did. That could not happen again!

The air crackled around her and a lightning bolt shot from the sky. Another storm created from her anger.

She knew there would be more to come.
