CEO Broke Down and Cried After I Divorced Him -
Chapter 0038
Chapter 0038
Suzy's heart felt a mix of bitterness and sadness. "Alright.”
As they watched the two walk away, Diana turned to Grace with frustration. “Grandma, why did you agree to let Suzy and Brother divorce? Weren't we supposed to help them reconcile?"
nun
Grace let out a sigh. "Your sister-in-law has changed. She's given up on your brother."
"But you still agreed?" Diana asked, confused. If she leaves, she might never come back. What if she replaces someone else? Where will we ever replace another granddaughter-in-law as good as her? I'll never have a better sister-in-law!”
Grace lightly tapped Diana on the forehead. "You're only noticing how your sister-in-law's attitude has changed, but haven't you seen that your brother is acting a little differently too?"
“Is he?” Diana asked, surprised. “He seems just as cold and heartless as always! Honestly, if he weren't my actual brother, I wouldn't even bother with him. Losing such a good wife over someone like Anne? He'll regret it one day"
“Exactly. He needs to regret it!” Grace chuckled softly. “People have to stumble to learn.”
Halfway through the drive, Suzy realized something. "This isn't the way to the lawyer's office.
Dylan didn't even glance at her, focused on driving. "We're going to the hospital first."
"Are you sure Anne wants to see me?"
It didn't take a genius to figure out why they were headed to the hospital.
Of course, it was to see Anne-after not seeing her for a whole day, it probably felt like an eternity to him. He must be dying to get to her, which was why he brought Suzy along.
This time, Dylan didn't bother replying.
Suzy's eyes flickered with amusement. “I know you miss her, but I think it would make more sense to get the divorce settled first. Think about it—she's been waiting for this moment for over three years. Imagine how happy she'll be when you show up with the news that you have divorced me.”
In the rearview mirror, Dylan caught sight of her calm expression, with no trace of the sadness that used to appear whenever Anne was mentioned.
In the past, any talk about Anne would always bring an unmistakable sorrow to her face.

But now...
It was as if they were simply discussing the weather.
A dark glint flashed quickly through Dylan's eyes. "You owe her an apology."
Suzy was speechless.
So, he was bringing her along to apologize to Anne?
“Sure." Suzy nodded. "If an apology is what you want, I'll give it. I'll even apologize for that night I got drunk and slept with you. After all, we're getting divorced. It's only fair to say sorry to her for that. I mean, I did sleep with her man, so I'll make sure to express my regrets properly,"

The car came to a sudden stop by the side of the road, and in an instant, Dylan turned to grab her chin.
But Suzy easily dodged him. "If you've got something to say, say it. Let's not make any unnecessary moves, Mr. Wright. After all, we're about to get divorced. A little distance would be wise."
“.....I never realized you were this sharp-tongued," Dylan muttered coldly.
Suzy raised an eyebrow. “Like you said, that was the old me.
His eyes narrowed in frustration before he pulled his hand back. "When you see Anne, you'd better behave."
“That depends on whether you hold up your end of the deal first,” Suzy countered. “Once we're divorced, my lips will stay sealed. If not..."
"You're really in a hurry to finalize the divorce, aren't you?"
"Yes, I am,” Suzy replied, meeting his frosty gaze without flinching. "When you've made. the same mistake for three years, you want to correct it as soon as possible."
Made the same mistake for three years....
Dylan's expression turned icier. "If you know it was a mistake, why did you do it in the first place?"
Suzy's smile was full of bitter self-mockery. "Because I was young and naive, and I couldn't tell the difference between a man and a bastard."
Dylan was speechle
His fists clenched at her words, but without another word, Dylan changed direction. “Ast you wish.”
They arrived at the lawyer's office again.

Just like the last time, Suzy didn't hesitate when signing the
papers.
In fact, as soon as she finished, she turned to Dylan and urged, “Mr. Wright, could you hurry up? I'm on a tight schedule.”
