CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 1258
Mrs. Perez was clearly stunned.
"You said you didn't want to have anything to do with that family anymore. So, what happened?" she asked, her voice laced with confusion.
Lydia lowered her gaze, avoiding eye contact.
Sighing deeply, Mrs. Perez didn't push any further, sensing Lydia's reluctance. But Mr. Perez was less patient.
"You both promised that once you were married, he would treat you well, and you'd have a good life together," Mr. Perez huffed in frustration. "How long has it been since the wedding? And now we're dealing with this mess."
"This isn't all Quincy's fault..." Lydia began to say, but her father wasn't having it.
"You're still defending him?" Mr. Perez retorted angrily. "Alright, if it's not his fault, then why have you been out of touch for two whole days? Why no word from you?"
Lydia was left speechless, her hands fidgeting nervously under the table as her thoughts spiraled.
She knew her parents all too well. Both of them were fiery and protective. If she told them about the way Quincy's mother had treated her, her mother would likely be the first to march over and confront her. Her father, who had barely agreed to the marriage in the first place, would demand a divorce on the spot.
In their eyes, anyone who didn't treat their daughter with the utmost care wasn't worth keeping around.
So, Lydia remained silent.
This only added to her parents' frustration. Though she was back home, she refused to reveal anything, leaving them completely in the dark.
"Fine! If you won't talk, I'll call Quincy myself!" Mr. Perez declared, grabbing his phone, ready to dial Quincy for answers. "I want to know why, less than a week after the wedding, my daughter is already suffering."
Lydia quickly moved to stop him, with Mrs. Perez joining in to help calm her husband down. It took both of them to wrestle the phone away from Mr. Perez, but even then, his anger hadn't subsided.
"I'm telling you, Lydia, either you tell us what's going on, or I'm calling Quincy. There are only two choices!" Mr. Perez said firmly, crossing his arms.
Mrs. Perez tried to intervene, "Why push her so hard? She'll tell us when she's ready."
But Mr. Perez was adamant. "If we don't push her, she won't say a word, no matter how long we wait."
And, unfortunately for Lydia, her
father was right. She had been planning to stay tight-lipped. But with her parents pushing harder and harder, and her mother now gently encouraging her to open up, Lydia finally caved and told them
everything.
Once they heard the whole story, Mrs. Perez was livid, ready to storm over to Quincy's house and demand justice. Mr. Perez, on the other hand, was furious, pounding his fist on the table in anger.
"Call Quincy right now!" Mr. Perez demanded. "This marriage is over. You two need to end it before the wedding ceremony happens. It's for the best!"
Things were unfolding exactly as Lydia had feared. But there was one thing she couldn't let happen.
"I can't get a divorce," Lydia finally said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Her parents were both confused and frustrated by her refusal. They couldn't understand why she was so insistent on staying with Quincy. They kept urging her to call Quincy over so they could go straight to the courthouse and file for divorce.

Left with no other choice, Lydia blurted out the truth. "I'm pregnant. That's why I can't leave."
Her confession hit them like a bolt of lightning.
"What did you just say?" Mrs. Perez asked, her eyes wide in disbelief. "You're... pregnant? Since when?" Taking a deep breath, Lydia steadied herself. There was no turning back now.
"I was already pregnant before Quincy and I got married," she admitted. "That's why we rushed to get married. I didn't want to telly Pyou because I was afraid you wouldn't accept the baby."
"You-!" Mr. Perez, overcome with shock and anger, raised his hand as if to strike. However, he held back, his face contorted in disbelief.
