CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 334
Taylor and Eve were terrified, screaming loudly. Thankfully, her car was sturdy enough and did not get smashed through. "Stop her, don't let her get away!" The men surrounded Nina's car, trapping her inside, preventing her from leaving. "You've hurt a few of our brothers and now you want to run? If you dare ram into us, I'd like to see where you'll go!
"Get out of the car!"
These guys were furious, getting a bit crazy. Seeing them hiding in the car, they started smashing it.
Eve's face turned pale with fear, tears streaming down her face. Taylor, seeing how skinny these men were but how strong they seemed, was getting worried. She asked, "What do we do, Nina? What should we do?"
Glancing at the time, Nina reassured them, "Don't be afraid, we'll be fine."
"Driving such a nice car, you must be wealthy. Giving us two hundred bucks to brush us off, treating us like beggars, do you think we're beneath you?"
They kicked and smashed the car.
"Get out of the car!"
They wanted them out.
The car windows had been smashed many times, and cracks were starting to appear.
Nina felt anxious, afraid they would destroy the car, which would then be disastrous.
"I should go out. It's my fault, I should take responsibility," Eve said tearfully, not wanting to endanger Nina.
"In this situation, it's not just your problem anymore. Stay put, we can hold out a bit longer," Nina comforted her, but her palms were sweating.
Bang!
The car window was smashed open, creating a hole. Glass shards flew, hitting them.
Nina instinctively covered her head.
"If you don't come out, you'll see what I'll do to you later!"
Seeing the car window smashed open, they continued to threaten and forcefully hit the glass. Then, they heard the sound of a police car.
At that moment, Nina finally felt relieved, realizing it was time. Before going to rescue Eve, she had already called the police. Now, it was just a matter of buying time. Upon hearing the sound, they became alert and panicked.
"Cops, the cops are here!"
They dropped the stones they were holding and looked around in fear. "Run, if the cops catch us, we're finished!"
The police car had already stopped at the intersection.
"What are you doing? Stop right there, don't run!"
The men scattered, and the police chased after them.
Nina looked at them. "Are you both okay?"
"We're fine."
Eve shook her head. "I'm fine too, it's just you..."
She looked at Nina, noticing the cuts from the glass shards on her face, feeling a pang of guilt. If it weren't for her rescue, she would not have been in this situation.
"It's all good." Nina wiped her face with a tissue. "The danger's over. I'll take you home later."
Eve looked at Nina. Her casual tone weighed heavily on her mind, and she bit her lip. Despite how she treated her, why did Nina still choose to save her without blaming her? Eve lowered her head, not quite understanding.
"Miss Nina, are you okay?" The approaching policewoman asked about the situation.
"I'm fine. These guys are all drug addicts," Nina reminded her.
"Don't worry, they won't get away," the policewoman assured her.
She looked at Nina's car and added, "Since the window's broken, I'll have someone come to tow it. Do you want to ride in our police car back?"
With the car damaged and needing repairs, Nina said, "Alright, that's the only option."
They got out of the car. Eve remained silent, holding her arms with red eyes.
"How are you doing?" Nina looked at Eve. "Have some water."
She handed Eve a bottle of mineral water she had in the car.
