CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 361
If it required authority, she would notify the other executives.
With everyone else unavailable this time, the responsibility fell on her shoulders. "Okay, let's go. You're coming along too."
"Okay," Cynthia replied.
Nina brought along a few others.
Cynthia was new, and she needed to familiarize herself with the company's operations. Along the way, Nina repeatedly reminded Cynthia to be careful and meticulous. There could not be any mistakes. Before long, they arrived at the dock.
The ship had already docked, and Jasper Corporation's people were unloading cargo.
As soon as Nina stepped out of the car, she heard someone say, "Why isn't it Mr. York who came, but you, Nina? Can you represent Mr. York now?"
Turning around, she saw Stella approaching with her arms crossed.
Nina replied with a smile, "Mr. York is busy today. Besides, it's not the first time I've represented Mr. York in negotiations with Miss Jasper. I believe you can understand."
Stella was increasingly displeased with Nina. She used to replace Nina, Mr. York's secretary, annoying.
Why would they use a female secretary when they had a good male secretary? Someone who could handle things and was stronger than these seemingly fragile female secretaries.
From the moment she learned that Nina might be Mr. York's wife, she became a thorn in her side, a bone in her throat.
"I can understand everything perfectly fine, but I can't help but wonder, are you truly in such a powerful position?" Stella shot back sarcastically, her gaze dripping with hostility as she locked eyes with Nina. Nina responded, "Didn't I say it already? Mr. York is busy today."
"I don't think it's that simple," Stella replied, her gaze sharp and unyielding as she stared at Nina.
Nina did not respond to her words, but she also noticed Stella's fierce gaze, sensing that Stella regarded her as an enemy.
She had no grudge against Stella, nor did she know where her hostile gaze was coming from. Without dwelling on it, she led the team to inspect the goods.
"What is Mr. York doing today?" Stella followed behind Nina.
Nina distanced herself and replied coolly, "Mr. York's personal matters are not for me to discuss."
Stella insinuated, "Is it that you can't say, or are you asserting your authority?"
Nina stopped in her tracks and turned to look at her. "What do you mean by that?"
"I heard Mr. York got married," Stella suddenly brought up the matter, perhaps knowing something.
Nina felt cautious and tentatively responded, "I've heard rumors, but I'm not that curious about Mr. York's personal life. Miss Jasper, let's stick to business..."
"Nina, are you still pretending to be high and mighty?" Stella could not hold back anymore. She did not have Nina's patience and questioned, "You're Mr. York's wife, aren't you?"
Nina looked at Stella in astonishment for a moment. How could she know about this?
Nina then hardened her expression. "What does that have to do with you, Miss Jasper?"
"It has everything to do with me!" Stella said assertively. "You're blocking my path!"
Nina furrowed her brows.
Stella continued, "When I came back, I knew Mr. York was not married. But suddenly, he became a married man because of you. What did you do to make him forget our agreement and marry you? Did you seduce him at the opportune moment while being his personal secretary?"
If she did not seduce Mr. York, how could she go from being a secretary to his wife? She must have used some means.
Seeing her agitated, Nina urged, "Calm down." She was puzzled and asked, "What agreement do you have with Mr. York?"
