CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 971
It was a clear reality, even if she refused to acknowledge it. Everyone around her knew that Pharaoh was her biological father.
Pharaoh was helping her save her child because of their blood connection. Otherwise, he would not care who she or Orion was. If they were to die in front of him, he would not even blink.
"Maybe we should wait outside for the results," Nash suggested, gently guiding her toward the door, worried that staying might overwhelm her, leading to unnecessary worries.
But Nina was resolute. "If he's not poisoned, then I have to stay. I'm not leaving until he wakes up."
Her determination was unyielding, and Nash knew there was no changing her mind. He would stay with her, no question.
Unexpectedly, Pharaoh gave Nash a look.
Nash placed a reassuring hand on Nina's shoulder. "I'll be right back."
"Okay," she nodded.
Nash followed Pharaoh outside the lab. Pharaoh hesitated for a moment before speaking "Regarding Nina, I hope you can put in a good word for me. Even though we were once on opposite sides, and I know who you are now, I'm still willing to humble myself for Nina's sake. She's my only daughter, and she cares about you. If you speak to her, she might listen."
Pharaoh had humbled himself before Nash. At this moment, he was not the proud leader of the Yaren Tribe. He was just a father.
"I'll do what I can, but Nina is her own person. She thinks for herself. Just because I say something doesn't mean she'll automatically agree," Nash responded honestly, not wanting Pharaoh to pin too much hope on him.
Pharaoh understood what Nash was implying, but he was desperate. If there was even a small chance, he was willing to take it.
With a hoarse urgency, Pharaoh continued, "I know all that, but I still hope you can help guide her, talk to her. The fact that she's worried about Micah shows that she's starting to accept him. As for me, she wouldn't even speak to me before. I know I've made a lot of mistakes, but I've never done anything to harm my child."
He was entirely focused on what was best for his children. Nina wanted to be with Nash, and if it meant going against Dominic, Pharaoh was even willing to send forces to wipe out Salterra. Even if the Yaren Tribe could not manage it alone, he could ally with other nations to attack.
Though Pharaoh had not voiced these thoughts, Nash could see everything in his eyes.
Nash, however, was not one to rush into war. He clarified, "I'll handle things on my end. Don't act rashly like before. There's always another way."
People make mistakes, and people can change. If Nina had grown, she also had the courage to accept reality.
"That's for the best," Pharaoh conceded. Seeing that Nash had made up his mind, Pharaoh did not push further.
Two hours later, the blue tint on Orion's face finally began to fade.
Nash saw the joy light up Nina's face as he approached her, about to say something, when Orion suddenly opened his eyes.
Seeing both Nash and Nina by his side, a smile immediately spread across Orion's face.
Nina kissed his forehead, asking softly, "Is there anything you'd like to eat? Or something you want?"
