Nina knew one thing for sure. This time, Dominic would not come after them again. But while Dominic might let them go, Remi certainly wouldn't. Remi rushed up to Nash, blocking their path. "Nash, you're taking her away, but did you even ask me? I'm your fiancée. I won't allow it!"

"That was arranged by Dominic, not by me. Nina is my wife. You should move on and replace someone else." Nash's tone was calm but firm as he rejected her. With that, he wrapped his arm around Nina and continued walking.

Remi wanted to follow, but a sharp voice stopped her in her tracks, "Remi, stay where you are!"

Remi had no choice but to stop in her tracks, but she knew that in this world, secrets never stay hidden. She was determined to have Nash, no matter what.

She would not let this go unpunished. The humiliation she suffered because of him, especially in front of so many people, demanded retribution.

She needed to get back at him and restore her pride. Remi would make sure of it and she was not one to back down easily.

Meanwhile, back with Micah, after taking Orion to get something to eat and then bringing him back to Pharaoh for treatment, he returned to his room to handle some matters. It was not long before he noticed Freya standing at the door.

She was holding a meticulously chosen shirt for him. The shirt was black and white with intricate embroidered patterns that matched his style perfectly.

Despite her efforts, Micah refused to accept it. "Freya, I have plenty of clothes. Even if I didn't, I could buy my own."

No matter how she tried, it was not her place to provide for him.

Freya could hear the unspoken message in his words, but she wasn't ready to give up. Lowering her stance, she pleaded softly, "Micah, I spent a long time picking out this shirt. It's a limited edition, and I was lucky to get it. Please, just take it and try it on. If you don't like it, you can throw it away."

The moment she saw the shirt, she knew it would look perfect on him. But despite her persistence, Micah remained unmoved. He decided to be blunt, "Freya, I've made it clear that I don't like you, not even a little."

Freya knew this deep down, but hearing it so directly still hurt, bringing tears to her eyes.

"I know you're not ready to accept me right now, Micah, and that's okay. I can wait, no matter how long it takes." She forced a smile despite the pain.

Freya loved Micah deeply. So even if her feelings were one-sided, even if she never received any affection in return, she was willing to give without expecting anything back.

But Micah did not see it that way. "I don't like you now, and I won't in the future. Why waste your time on me?"

Freya deserved someone who could love her back.

"I don't see it as a waste of time. I'm happy to do these things for you, even if it's one-sided," Freya said, her voice trembling as she tried to hold back her tears.

She did not expect Micah's love. But did he really have to deny her the chance to show her affection, even if it was just one-sided? It felt too cruel.

"Take the shirt back, or give it to someone else. And please, stop coming to see me," Micah said as he turned to leave.

He did not look back as he walked out the door. Behind him, Freya watched him go, her eyes following him until the door closed with a final "click."

She looked down at the shirt in her hands, and her tears began to fall, each drop landing on the fabric like pearls from a broken string.
