Chapter 1004

"Thank you for not giving up on me, thank you for steadfastly staying by my side, and thank you for praying for me."

He seemed very haggard, as though he had endured endless torment. Yet, he still exuded a captivating handsomeness.

Though his eyes appeared dim from exhaustion, they radiated determination. His deep, dark pupils seemed like a mystery, hiding countless untold stories.

Rosalie was surprised. "How did you know I prayed?"

"I guessed," he said with a gentle smile, the corner of his mouth curving into a soft, charming arc.

Rosalie smiled back at him. It wasn't too hard to guess, actually.

"Anyway, I'm glad that you're awake now. I'm sorry Theodore and Sebastian hurt you. They didn't know and thought you were a bad person. They were just too worried about me. I apologize on their behalf. Don't worry, I'll take responsibility for you. I'll cover all the medical bills and any future compensation and care. You don't need to worry about anything."

"Those two men seem very concerned about you."

Rosalie replied, "Yes, they're really worried about me, but now everything is a mess, and I'm truly sorry."

"You don't need to apologize to me. It's good this way. At least someone is there to protect you, unlike Youngie. She only had me. When something happened to me, I couldn't protect her."

As soon as he mentioned Youngie, Justin's eyes were filled with sadness. This sorrow was something that would never fade from his gaze. "Youngie is in a place without sadness or pain now. She's in heaven. You're fine now, and I believe Youngie protected you. She wouldn't want anything to happen to you. She wants you to live happily," Rosalie comforted him.

"What if I can never be happy?" Justin said sorrowfully. "What if I'm always in pain and despair? What should I do?"

"You won't," Rosalie said, holding his hand firmly. "You will be happy. Youngie wants you to be happy. Even if it's for her sake, you need to cherish every day. Feel the first rays of sunshine in the morning and the gentle breeze, appreciate the beauty of the sunset, and listen to the sound of the waves. I'm sure you'll replace happiness, Justin."

In the past, he would never have believed that he could be happy, but now he did. It was because Rosalie told him he would, and he believed her.

"Can I call you Rose?" he asked.

Rosalie nodded. "Of course."

"Rose," he said, holding her hand tightly. "If I told you I..."

"Rose." A voice from outside the door interrupted Justin's words.

Rosalie turned around and saw Sebastian walk in. "Seb, you're here."

"Rose." Sebastian seemed somewhat anxious. "I need to talk to you."

"What is it?" Rosalie asked.

"Could you come outside for a moment?" He didn't want Justin to hear them.

Rosalie stood up and said to Justin, "I'll step out for a moment. I'll be back soon."

"Okay." Justin nodded.

Sebastian led Rosalie out of the room.

Once they were in the corridor,

Rosalie closed the door. "Seb, what's

going on? You look pale. Are ye..
