"Yerry, what do you like to eat?" Rosalie asked.

Yerick said, "I'm good with anything. I'll have anything you're having, Rose. But you're going for an operation tomorrow. You should have something lighter."

His thoughtful words brought a warm smile toward Rosalie's face. "I can just eat as I normally do. It doesn't need to be too light on taste." Sebastian smiled as well. "Have a good chat, you two. I'll head out to have someone prepare dinner. Don't worry, I'll make sure both of you are well-fed." With that, Sebastian left the ward.

When he reached the door, he didn't leave immediately. Instead, he stood at the door and waited to see if that rascal would talk bad about him.

However, after eavesdropping for a while, he realized that Yerick didn't talk bad about him and only chatted idly with Rosalie.

Yerick Zeller was adept at being pretentious at such a young age.

Who was he trying to fool with that innocent look of his? Only Rosalie was foolish enough to trust him.

'Just you wait,' Sebastian thought. He was bent on exposing this rascal's true colors.

"Yerry, Seb's just overly worried about me. Please don't count it against him or get angry about it."

"It's fine, Rose. I'm not that petty. Don't worry, I won't get mad at him. He's your husband, after all. Even if I don't care about him, I care about you." Yerick was honey-tongued and said everything was a sweet smile on his face that betrayed no hint of anger at all.

Rosalie heaved a sigh of relief. "That's good."

"Rose, it seems like your husband is recovering very well. He can even take care of you now, when you were the one taking care of him before."

Rosalie said, "Yeah, he's made a great recovery. If only he could remember what happened in the past. We haven't managed to nab the one who caused him harm." The mention of the culprit made Rosalie feel melancholic.

"Rose, don't worry," Yerick said as he grabbed her hand and patted it gently to comfort her. "You'll eventually replace him. Good always triumphs over evil."

Yerick said it without batting an eyelid.

Rosalie nodded. "You're right."

Just then, two men in police uniform walked in.

"Ms. Young," they greeted.

Rosalie asked, "What's the matter?"

"We want to ask you a few questions."

"I had my statement taken previously."

When Rosalie was rescued, policemen had approached her, and she had said everything there was to be said.

One of the policemen said, "We need further clarifications for some questions."

Rosalie nodded. "Alright."

"Rose, what happened?" Yerick looked at Rosalie with a face filled with doubt.

Rosalie explained, "I was kidnapped two days ago."

"What?!" Yerick yelped in shock. "Kidnapped? How did that happen? Are you alright? Did you get hurt?"

Yerick looked shocked and frightened.

Rosalie shook her head. "I didn't get hurt. Don't worry, I'm fine."

Yerick immediately turned to ask the policeman, "Sir, did you replace anything?"

"We are currently still investigating things. We still have some questions for Ms. Young, so please leave us."

"Sure. Rose, I'll be right outside."

With that, Yerick left the ward.

Just then, Sebastian walked in. He saw the policemen in the ward asking Rosalie some questions.

Instead of going further into the room, he said to Yerick, "You look very young."

"I'm eighteen, but I'll be celebrating my nineteenth birthday next month."

"Is that so? Writing such an advanced thesis at eighteen years old is an impressive feat indeed."

Sebastian stuck his hands in his pockets and looked at him with a smile that hid malicious intent.

"You're too kind. I don't have many hobbies, so I spend most of my time learning and picking up new knowledge." Knowledge can change the world and defeat all enemies.

"Is that so?" Sebastian said. "That's good."
