EZRA'S P.O.V

I was full of rage. How dare this arrogant man do this to his biological child not once but twice and feel guilty only once he knows her mother is still alive? But not enough guilt to tell her what he was doing. He not only betrayed her, he betrayed his sons. I don't even want to begin thinking about the betrayal he has caused the Kingdom. He would die for this.

I told Lucy she could do the honor, but only once Tegan was safe at home. We don't know Trystan or what he was capable of. We also don't know if he was already affected by Iblis's sick ways.

In the end, Tegan may want to kill her father herself. But I wouldn't allow that. She may hate him, but the guilt she'd carry after something like that would be hard to mentally recover from. Therefore, Lucy may be the best option for killing Drake. "They were all useless when it came to knowing where she was located," Lucy said.

"So they blindly accepted a deal from a man they had no way of knowing if he was who he said he was and then failed to get any information out of him at all." I replied in disbelief.

I couldn't wrap my brain around the situation. Not only were we in the middle of a possible war threat from Iblis, but my mate was now missing, being held hostage by a man we knew nothing about. Was Trystan working with Iblis? If he wasn't working with Iblis, then why was he holding my mate hostage? And better yet, what did he want with just Tegan?

"We need answers, and seeing how he can't speak, go ahead and untie him," I said to Lucy.

She used her powers to untie the chains so that neither her or I had to touch the wolfsbane coated silver chains. Once the chains fell to the floor, Drake sighed in relief. His skin had bubbled blisters all across where the chains were wrapped tightly around him. The sight was unpleasant, but then again he deserved far worse for what he had done.

He made his bed the moment he decided to plot against the Queen. His poor excuse of her being his daughter meant nothing to me, nor would it mean anything to those who actually cared about her. She is not only an independent, fully grown wolf who is no longer under his care, but she is also the Queen of all werewolves and that trumps any poor excuse he could ever come up with.

'Alpha King, The Luna Queen's Brothers have returned and have asked to speak with you. They say it's urgent! A mind-link came through from a guard that was stationed at the borders.

'Send them to the renovation wing in the Packhouse.' I mind-linked back.

I needed answers, and I need them now. I knew they had nothing to do with what went down, but maybe them being here would make Drake more willing to spill what he knew.

After a few minutes, I could hear them talking as they walked down the hall. I went ahead and sent Uriah out to get them. When they walked in they looked baffled. As they should, it looked like a horror story. Their Father was still seated with blisters that weren't healing all over his body due to the wolfsbane. While their Step Mother and Step Sister were still chained next to him, dead. If they weren't surprised by the scene, then I'd assume they were guilty too. "What the hell happened?" Fredrick asked in disbelief.

"Ask Daddy Dearest," His mate, Lucy, responded instead.

Fredrick and Darion's eyes both cut over to Drake, still not sure what was happening.

"Where is Tegan?" I asked again, more aggressively than before.

They almost looked as scared as their father. It was an open-ended question. It was meant for Drake, of course, but they wouldn't know that since they're the ones that returned without her.

"We couldn't get in. The doors magically slammed and it was as if the doors were sealed shut. No amount of force was even budging it. We couldn't even break it down," Darion finally said. "The question wasn't for you." I replied, never even looking at him.

"I couldn't penetrate the doors either," Fredrick quickly responded, thinking I was still talking to them.

"It was meant to be that way. You weren't meant to free her or get back in," I said, looking back at Drake. "Isn't that right, Drake?" I asked, making both of the Brothers look over at their Father. "What is he talking about?" Darion asked his father.

Drake's eyes moved between the Brothers. You could tell that he didn't think this would fall back on him. Did he really think he could sell my mate and get away with it?

"Lucy, please fill the Declan Brothers in on your discoveries."

I could do the honor of telling them what she had learned, but I was still seething and wasn't sure how much longer I could keep myself composed. Allowing her to speak instead would give me the chance to calm myself enough to refrain from ripping his throat out right here and now.

After Lucy was done explaining her replaceings, I could see anger in Fredrick's eyes. Darion looked upset but nothing like Fredrick did.

"HOW FUCKING COULD YOU? WE DON'T EVEN KNOW IF HE WAS OUR BROTHER!" He raged as he approached his Father, punching him square in the nose. A crack could be heard before blood poured down his face. "You'll pay for this! She could be hurt or they could be torturing her like they did our mother! But you don't give a f**k about anyone but your damn self. I hope they end your pathetic life. You're no Father of mine!" He raged as he rushed out the door, tears threatening to fall from the brim of his eyes.

I looked over at Lucy. She wasn't much of a sentimental person, but surely she knew that he needed her. He found out that his mother was alive and tortured, that he had an older brother that nobody knew existed and that his father sold his only sister to a stranger. He needed his mate for more than one reason. That is a lot for one person to endure in such a short amount of time.

"Fine. I'll go," She said as she huffed out a breath, following Fredrick out.

Once she was out of the room, Darion looked over at me before speaking.

"So what now?"

"Now we need to get answers. I want to know everything he knows. I don't have time for his petty games. I will go get Helena and we will do a memory spell. She can pull out all of his memories and put them on display for us all to see. I'm over the lies, the bullshit, and him." "Then what?"

"Once I have all I need, he will be useless to me."

"So, he dies?"

"You'd rather he lived after all he has done?" I asked in disbelief.

"He is my Father."

"I've killed for less than what he has done. He had better be glad I need answers, otherwise he would've already been dead for what he has done to the Queen."

It was like my words clicked in his head. As if Darion had forgotten his sister was the Queen of all werewolves. The room was quiet while he registered my words.

"He won't die until Tegan faces him. Once she is rescued, she can decide his fate as he keeps trying to decide hers." I explained, breaking the silence.
