TEGAN'S P.O.V

I felt as my bones began to reshape, the pain was almost as worse as being cut open with no medicine. I couldn't begin to describe what it felt like other than breaking and rebreaking every bone in your body all at once. Which if you'd never broken a bone before you'd have no clue of what that form of pain felt like. I've had my arm pulled out of socket many times. But this pain, this was the worst type of pain one could go through at once.

My screams were echoing in the woods as Gemma pushed forward. What felt like hour's was only moments. Before I knew it my legs were hitting the ground. I looked down realizing it wasn't my feet, but rather fury paws.

I did it, I f*****g did it! I thought to myself in excitement.

'What do you look like!?' I asked Gemma impatiently. However, she didn't respond.

It was strange being in wolf form. Everything was more enhanced. Even more than it was in my human form. The flowers seemed more colorful, the smell of the trees around seemed more potent. I could see the dew drops on the leaves from the melting snow as it fell to the ground. Everything seemed more like it was in 3D.

It also felt weird. To not really having control of your own body but being more of a passenger. It was like seeing through someone else's eye while they controlled your every move.

'This must be what it feels like to be you.' I said to Gemma as she emerged from behind the tree.

Soon we came face to face with the white and golden wolf I had only saw one other time. I had expected him to tower over us, except we were more eye level, which told me I wasn't average size at all. I was a lot taller than even my human form. 'Holy shit! A voice other than Gemma said in my head, startling me.

'Who the fuck is that?' I asked Gemma as she cackled in our mind.

'It's a mind link, you know where packs of wolves can communicate with one another in wolf form?' She replied sarcastically.

'I know what a mind link is.'

'Then why'd you ask?'

'I've never had one before, so I wasn't expecting it. I replied honestly. 'How exactly do I respond to a mind link again?' I asked making her howl in laughter.

'Just think of who you are wanting to speak to. Open a connection and just speak! She replied once she was done making fun of me.

I did as my wolf suggested and thought about Ezra. But the thoughts that came were not ones I was expecting. They were in no form innocent. I could have thought about anything, like his hair, his eyes, his voice. Literally anything other than what he looked like naked but here I was like a bitch in heat thinking of the most inappropriate thing.

'Be careful, I might let King fuck us in doggy style if you don't cut that out! Gemma said making me realize how little control I actually had right now.

'You, okay?' Another mind link came through in the voice of Ezra.

I focused on his eyes and name as I felt the connection that Gemma spoke of before.

'Yeah, just trying to figure this all out. I replied honestly. A chuckle came across mind link before Ezra responded again.

'I know a waterfall not far from here. It's too cold to swim but it is a nice run to get there!

'Lead the way. I said as he took off in a full-on sprint.

Gemma followed behind him effortlessly as she dodged tree limbs, leaped over fallen branches and zig zagged all around. Soon the view of a beautiful waterfall came into sight. When we arrived, she walked up to the water before dipping her head down to take a drink. I pushed forward to look in the water's reflection. She was easily the most beautiful wolf I had ever saw.

She was red like I had expected but there were more. She had golden tips to her ears; her paws were splattered with gold along with her chest. She was unique, a lot like me. She had this pattern that you don't typically see in wolves. Most are solid colors, others barely splashed of another color. But she was overall two toned. She turned sideways allowing me to get a full look at her body. Along her sides she had this golden lightning bolt streak that stretched all the way across the side of her body. She was magnificent. 'I've never seen anything more beautiful. Ezra said as Kingston circled us, his eyes making me feel like prey.

'He wants to play.' Gemma said as she bent down in a playful manner.

She waited a moment before she pounced Kingston making his let out a playful growl. She then took off into the woods.

They chased one another, sniping at each other before a rabbit crossed our path, grabbing Gemma's attention. She bent down in a crotch as she watched the rabbit carefully. She slowly inched forward before taking off in a full sprint at the rabbit.

A predator hunting its prey. After a short chase Gemma managed to capture the rabbit before tearing right into the flesh. Fresh blood filled our mouth, her true nature as a wild animal taking over.

I would definitely need a shower after this. She ran for what seemed like hours until eventually she slowed down tiring out.

'Let's head back. Ezra said. Kingston leading the way out the forest, back to our clothes.

Once we were back, I focused on myself, pushing forward as I took control once again. Gemma giving it back without a fight. After I was dressed, I came out from behind the tree. Ezra was already leaned against his tree waiting patiently. "That was needed more than you know." He spoke.

"It was definitely a wonderful experience. Thanks' for today." I said as we walked back to the pack house.

Once on our floor we parted ways. When I entered Imagen took a big inhale before a smile appeared across her face.

"What?"

'I see you let the wolf out for a little fun!' She signed as she smelled me again.

"I did."

'Well if you were wanting to avoid Ezra, you did the complete opposite. She signed while silently laughing.

"What do you mean, he was only training me on controlling my wolf."

'Yeah, and allowing your wolf to bond with her mate.

I hadn't even thought about that, all I was thinking about was learning to navigate in my wolf form. Not once did I consider that she would be bonding to Ezra and Kingston.

"I fucked up."

'I wouldn't say that.' Imagen signed.

"I didn't want to bond; I don't want him."

'You say one thing but do the opposite.

She was right, I needed to be more careful. I'd be damned if I let him get close to me again.
