Chapter 21
No One’s POV
Grace was neither happy nor sad. She felt like she was stuck in such a situation from where she was not able to see any ray of hope in her life. While on the other side her father was happy that finally, she was going to marry the man of his choice, who was from a good family and had a good reputation in society. He was glad that his daughter was getting married, secretly without letting that criminal know about this marriage. He was sure that if Zayden knew anything about the wedding, he would burn the whole place, literally.
He felt relaxed and calmed as he was sure that they had outrun him. With this thought, he walked into Grace’s room to check whether she was ready or not. And there she was, she was looking like a fairy in her white wedding gown. But she was looking at anything but not happy at all. This made him wonder whether his daughter was in love with that criminal?
“Grace..”, He called out her name to which she finally lifted her eyes from the ground and looked at him with her red puffy eyes. In another case, he would have cared about it but this time, he ignored it. “The taxi is here. We have to leave for the church.” He said to which Grace nodded like an obedient daughter.

On the ride to the church, Grace was lost in her own thoughts while her father’s eyes were on the road.
“The church is on the left. Why did you take the right turn?”, Her father asked when he observed the change in the direction of the Taxi. After listening to her father’s voice, Grace finally came out of the thoughts and looked at her father. “I am talking with you.”, Her father added, looking at the driver.
“I have turned the taxi in the right direction, Sir. And now it will stop only at it’s right location.”, A familiar voice rang in Grace’s ears and her eyes widened in shock when she saw the face of that familiar voice.
She didn’t know him by his name but he was the same person who was with Zayden during that night when he had killed John.
“You…”, Her father’s voice died when Eric pulled out his gun from his waist. He did nothing more than that, just drive the taxi with one hand and kept playing with his gun with others. This was enough to scare both Grace and her father. Grace tried to open the door of the backseat but she was not able to open it. Neither she nor her father had any idea where Eric was taking them but Grace was sure wherever she was going, HE would be there as well.
‘Why the hell is this not opening! I would like to jump from the car rather than going near him.’
“Child Lock.”, She got the answer to her unasked question.
Grace sighed in defeat realizing there was no way she could escape from here. Once reached the destination spot, Eric showed the gun to her father and signaled him to step out of the car but he dared not to order his LUNA.
Grace stayed rooted to her seat and didn’t come out of the car when she observed the decoration outside and the rest of her family members were there surrounded by men, his men.
No, no, no, this can’t be happening. This is not what I am thinking. God! Please, please, please. Let this be a nightmare. What did I do to deserve this? I always help others and never hurt anyone in my whole life intentionally, to deserve this. I don’t want to marry him. How did he know in the first place?
Oh shit!
God, please do something. I would rather die than get married to a monster.
She cried in her mind and realized that a tear escaped her eye.
“Come out, sweetheart.”, And then his voice rang in her ear. She didn’t move an inch from her place and turned her face to look at him.
“W.why am I h.here?”, She asked, stuttering horribly.
“What do you mean by why you are here! You are the bride and without my bride, how can I marry, sweetheart? Or say I should say my would be bride?”
“No! Th.this will n.not happen.”, She couldn’t help but start crying.
“Why are you crying, sweetheart? You should be happy because it’s your wedding day.”, He said curtly. If anything he hated the most was her tears. It made him weak, which he hated to be.
“My.My w.wedding was not s.supposed to be with you.”, Grace said. Her words immediately changed his mood. He clenched his jaws. He hated when he came to know that her father had fixed her wedding with someone else. The fact that she was going to marry someone who was not him, made him even more furious. He had planned earlier to kill that groom and take his place but he changed it at the last moment when the groom and his family ran away from there. That made him wonder how they knew about his plan?
At the same time, he let her and her father have the notion that he didn’t know anything about the whole wedding stuff. He was aware of the fact, how much Grace was scared of guns or violence in particular. She was a peace-loving woman, which was what attracted him. She was like a light attracting him like a moth. He was ready to burn in her love, from the moment he saw her. He saw her scared face and looked at her trembling lips.
‘Why Grace? Why are you scared of me? I love you and I would never hurt you. Why is it so difficult to get?’, He thought.
“But now the story is different. You are getting married to me and trust me, sweetheart, I am not requesting.”, He said and signaled him to look around.
Grace saw her little brother, Blake, scared like hell. A man was standing behind home with his hand around the side of his waist. She knew what he was holding, GUN. His men and he always used to place their hands towards their waist where they had their guns, whenever they were ready to shoot. She looked at her parents, even though they had the same expression.
“NOW, COME OUT OF THE CAR.”, he ordered and hated doing this to Grace. She couldn’t help but flinch at his tone and finally came out of the car.
