Chapter 170

The moment Hannah walked out of the study room, she saw Arianna about to walk in.

"What's wrong? I heard the sound of broken glasses, is he alright? Are you okay?" Arianna asked and Hannah sighed softly.

"I don't know if he's okay, he looks furious, he says his father is back and is the one behind all this, I really don't know," Hannah said and Arianna walked past her and entered the study room. There she met Brandon, staring into nothing, he looked so lost in thoughts.

"I said I wanna be alone, Hannah," he said as he noticed someone had walked inside the study room.

"Honey, it's me, it's your mom," Arianna said and Brandon raised his head and glanced at her.

"Hannah told me, you think it's him!" Arianna asked and Brandon nodded in response.

"It's fine honey, everything is going to be alright," Arianna said trying to console his son who was looking more than angry.

"No, it's not gonna be alright. Nothing is gonna be fine. He's a monster, a self-serving asshole. You don't know him, he would go to any extreme to hurt my family.

He's going to try and take the company away from me, he's gonna try and ruin me as he did years ago" Brandon said as tears gathered in his eyes as he remembered how his father had abused him and tortured him in the past. Arianna paused for a second, as she tried to understand what Brandon meant when he said he was gonna try to ruin him like he did years ago.

Arianna knew Wilson never liked Brandon, but she always protected him when she was around him, after she was gone, she didn't know what happened next.

"What did he do to you, Brandon?" Arianna asked and tears almost slipped down Brandon's eyes as the memories came flooding in. He quickly pushed back the tears, he wasn't gonna let anyone see him cry.

"The kids are no longer safe here, we should take them elsewhere at least till all this is over," Brandon said, ignoring Arianna's question.

Just then he caught a glimpse of Hannah standing by the door staring at him.

"Is there anywhere you could take the kids to?" Brandon asked Hannah and she turned to Arianna.

"Yes, I can take them to my house in the state, no one knows about it and Sandra is there, she would be able to take care of them for the time being," Arianna said and Brandon nodded.

"Security will be doubled, no one is to leave this house without a bodyguard," Brandon said and just then he heard his phone vibrate.

It was a business message, he stared at the message and walked towards Hannah who was standing by the door, he gave her one last look before walking out of the room.

Hannah turned to Arianna.

"I can't take my kids away from me. I don't want them to be far from me" Hannah said and Arianna moved towards her and placed her hands on her shoulder.

"It won't be long, they will be back home. We just need to keep them safe, I'll go call Sandra. You should tell the kids, they would be spending some time with Sandra" Arianna said and walked past her.

Hannah sighed softly, if this man is as dangerous as they say he is, then nobody is safe. It would be best if the kids would be out of the mansion for some time, Hannah thought as she walked out of the study room and went to the kid's room, where she met the kids playing games.

"Mommy, you are back," the kids said at once as they heaved a sigh of relief. They were worried about her.

"Yes, sweethearts, I'm back, " Hannah said as she walked inside the room fully and sat on the ground, then motioned for her kids to come sit with her.

They stopped playing their games and came to sit beside Hannah. They wondered what was wrong as they noticed the look on Hannah's face.

"What is it, mommy?" Allison asked with a concerned look on her face.

"Is everything alright mommy?" Aubrey asked and Hannah smiled at them.

"Ofcouse sweetie, everything is fine, mommy is okay. I just came to tell you guys something important " Hannah said and the kids sat up properly wondering what Hannah had wanted to tell them.

"Something happened recently, and uhm..." Hannah paused thinking of how to explain it to the kids properly.

"And you guys will be staying with Aunt Sandra for some time. I promise, it won't be long I will come pick you guys up and bring you home" Hannah said and the kids stared at each other and then turned to Hannah.

"But why mommy?" they asked at once.

Hannah couldn't tell them the exact situation on the ground, they were still kids and would not understand.

"Sweetheart, there are some things you wouldn't understand now, but when you grow up you will do.

Do you trust Mommy?" Hannah asked and they nodded in response.

"Good, then trust me when I say I will come to pick you guys up in a few days. Don't worry, Sandra is a nice lady" Hannah said and the kids sighed softly and nodded.

"I know Aunt Sandra when we first came to Atlanta, we stayed with her at one of grandma's houses, she's so nice, I like her," Jayden said and Hannah sighed, thankfully, the kids like Sandra.

"Yeah, Sandra is nice. You guys have to promise me you won't give her a hard time when you get there and also promise to look out for each other and protect each other" Hannah said and the kids nodded "Pinky swear," they said as they raised their tiny fingers and Hannah smiled.

"And we promise to protect each other and stand by each other because that's what family does, no matter what, we protect each other and stand by each other," Jamie said and Hannah felt tears gather in her eyes. Because at the end of the day, family is all you've got, Hannah thought.

"Come here, sweethearts," she said as she opened her arms and they all did a group hug.
