Chapter 189

Emilia and Wilson are seen lying on the bed beside each other while staring at the ceiling.

Wilson then turned to Emilia and smiled at her.

"I love you" he muttered and she smiled and then stood up from the bed.

"I need to take my bath," she said as she moved towards the wardrobe, brought out a towel, and tied it around her chest before walking inside the bathroom.

She removed her towel and hung it then stood under the shower, letting the water run through her, lots of thoughts flooding through her mind.

Meanwhile, Hannah is seen in her kid's room, helping them dress up for bed since it was night already.

She had cooked for them and made them eat after which she helped them take their bath and wear their pajamas.

She helped them lie on the bed and covered them properly with the duvet.

She had barely spent time with her kids because of the whole incident that has been happening for the past few days now.

"So, I'm going to tell you guys a story," Hannah said and the children smiled.

"Yeah, we are all ears Mommy," they said in response eagerly waiting to hear the story.

Hannah smiled as she told them the story. After she was done most of them were already asleep except Jayden and Allison whose eyes were still wide open.

"Mommy, I need to tell you something, " Jayden said and Hannah sat up properly wondering what he had wanted to tell her.

"We heard the screams from downstairs earlier today, we had wanted to come downstairs and see what was going on but then we remembered you told us not to leave the room, so we didn't" Jayden said and Hannah heaved a sigh of relief, thanking her stars that the kids didn't come out of their room to see what was going on.

"Oh honey, nothing serious was going on. Whatever it was has been resolved, alright? Mommy already handled it" Hannah said and Jayden nodded in response.

"I love you, Mommy," Jayden said and Hannah smiled

"I love you too, honey," she said in response and suddenly the little boy closed his eyes and drifted to sleep.

She turned to Allison and saw she was asleep already. She sighed and stood up then walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.

She decided to go to Brandon's study room and check on him. Since he consoled Jessica, he had left to his study room and never came out.

He didn't even come downstairs for dinner, she wondered if he was okay.

Brandon has always tried to be strong for everyone, he tried not to show his emotions because he's a man, but he's human too and he has feelings, she thought. She walked towards his study room, planted a soft knock on the door, and then walked in. There she met Brandon standing by his table staring at the ceiling.

"I want to be alone" he managed to voice out and Hannah sighed.

"I just wanted to check on you," Hannah said and he raised his head and saw Hannah. He thought it was Arianna.

"What are you doing here, you should be asleep," Brandon said as he walked towards his chair and sat on it and started going through the files on his table.

She stared at him for a few seconds without saying a word, studying his looks. She noticed he was looking so sad and his eyes were red.

"Are you okay, Brandon?" Hannah asked as she stared at him but he didn't say a word as he kept going through the files on his table.

She moved towards him and touched his hands, but he quickly pulled his hands away from hers trying so hard to avoid her looks.

She knew he was hurting, he's human and not a robot, he has feelings. With what his father had done, it would hurt him so badly.

She could remember clearly when he said his father tortured and abused him and never loved him. Imagine growing up without the love of a parent and a father figure. She just wished he would open up to her so he would feel better, even if it was a little bit.

"Brandon you........"

"Leave, Leave right now, Hannah, or I'm going to be forced into pushing you out" he yelled and she flinched and moved back a bit.

He raised his head and stared at her. Even from his look, a blind man could tell he was deeply hurt.

"Just go, please go" he begged and she swallowed into nothing and nodded in response.

"Do you want me to go?" She asked thinking he would have a change of mind and ask her to stay.

"Yes, I do," he said and she nodded before turning to leave. The moment she got to the door, she paused and sighed softly then turned back.

"I'm sorry, no," she said and he raised his head.

"What?" He asked

"I'm sorry but I'm not going. Brandon, you shouldn't be alone right now. You are angry, you are hurt and probably terrified because your father is still out there. I still am" She paused and he looked away from her as tears gathered in his eyes. "So, go ahead, scream at me, yell at me, try to push me away but I'm not going anywhere," she said as she moved towards him, staring at him as tears gathered in her eyes too.

"Are you okay?" She asked in a whisper and he nodded negatively. He went silent for a few seconds and then raised his head and stared at her.

"No, I'm not okay," he said and the tears he'd been holding for long, he finally let go.

She placed her hands on his shoulder and then helped him stand up from the chair he was sitting on and just then she pulled him into a hug, while she patted his back, letting him cry on her shoulder.
