Chapter 435:

The majority of comments in the past had been derogatory. People were demanding an explanation from Ecstasy. Susan had already reached out to Ecstasy, and to secure the antidote, they had to follow her instructions.

Ecstasy’s staff were reluctant to admit to plagiarism, but having used the perfume and found it appealing, they applied it throughout the company. Now, everyone’s skin was beginning to react. They had no option but to concede to Susan’s demands.

“Ecstasy got in touch with me,” Susan noted, answering their international call.

“I’m a designer from Ecstasy,” the voice on the other end sounded exhausted. “Susan, I sincerely apologize. It wasn’t our intention to plagiarize. I came across the formula by chance and was impressed by it.”

Susan was repulsed. “Skip the insincere apologies. Just comply with my demands. First, reveal who provided you with the formula. Second, publicly admit to the plagiarism.”

“The source of the formula…” There was a pause before the voice disclosed, “Your sister.”

The room gasped collectively at the mention of the name. It was indeed Jada! Why would Jada do something like this? Had she lost her mind?

The atmosphere immediately became charged.

Jada clenched her fists, her palms clammy. She felt lightheaded. She couldn’t comprehend why her previously smooth life had begun to unravel since her return this year.

“Regarding the admission of plagiarism, we’ve already done it on our official account,” the Ecstasy staff member said.

Susan checked their official account and found the statement. It read, “Concerning the recent similarities between our perfume and that of the Riggs Group designer, we acknowledge being inspired by her fragrance but not replicating it accurately. We offer our sincere apologies. Customers who purchased our perfume can reach out to us for a resolution.”

Despite the apology, they faced intense criticism. The affected parties were outraged.

“I’ll inform you of compensation later,” Susan stated.

“Understood.”

The call ended, leaving the conference room in complete silence.

“I didn’t do it! It wasn’t me,” Jada said quickly, her gaze shifting to Esteban. “Dad, I swear I didn’t do this. I know I made mistakes before, and I regret them, but this is a serious accusation. Everyone knows how much this could impact the company. There’s no way I would do something like this!”

With tears welling in her eyes, Jada turned to Susan. “Susan, I know you dislike me, but this is a blatant attempt to frame me.”

A murmur ran through the crowd. “Honestly, it’s not out of the question that Susan gave the formula to Ecstasy and teamed up with them. There’s no proof! This situation could be a way for Susan to eliminate Jada, causing trouble for the company but ultimately benefiting Susan.”

It really did seem like a foolproof plan. The company, once known for its smooth operations, was now mired in scheming and deceit.

A voice of frustration broke through. “Mr. Riggs, our company was running smoothly before Susan arrived. Now, it’s in chaos, and everyone is on edge. We can’t focus on our work. If Susan doesn’t have evidence, then she’s framing Jada.”

“Exactly! Susan, show us the evidence.”

The crowd quickly rallied behind Jada. After all, she was a senior perfumer with a prestigious education, while Susan was a nobody. Why would Jada scheme against Susan?

Susan surveyed the room, then looked at Jada, who was sobbing. She said with a hint of sarcasm, “Jada, we aren’t at home. Crying won’t change anything here.” Since Susan had pressured Ecstasy to disclose the traitor, they were bound to provide evidence. She checked her phone and soon received a message from Ecstasy, which sent a photo of the handwritten formula.

“This is the formula we received. If you have any doubts, you can verify the handwriting yourself.” Susan displayed it for everyone to see.

Those familiar with Jada’s work immediately recognized her distinct handwriting. Some had even praised it in the past.

“This… it does look like Jada’s handwriting.”

“Jada, is this really your doing? Why would you do this?” Some people in the room were beginning to lose their composure.

The entire company was now in turmoil. What could possibly have driven Jada to this?

“No! It wasn’t me…” Jada reflexively protested.

“Jada, like last time, if you refuse to confess, perhaps we should have this verified now?” Susan interjected. Jada’s expression changed rapidly—from shock to anger and finally to frustration.

Susan was being unrelentingly harsh.

Jada bit her lip, tears brimming in her eyes. With such concrete evidence against her, her words seemed futile—no one would believe her now.

“Susan, I understand you’re furious, but do you know who taught me to give the formula to a foreign company? It was Madisyn. She set you up and taught me to do this because she hates you.” Jada made one last desperate attempt to hurt Susan.

Susan remained unfazed and turned to Esteban. “Mr. Riggs, what should our next step be?”
