Chapter 467:

Madisyn glanced at Soren, her indifferent gaze creating an intense pressure on him. Damn it! She was just a young woman, and he was her senior. Why was she causing him so much stress?

“The medicine has just been produced, but Jada brought an unfinished version here. Have you considered how she got it?” Madisyn’s nonchalant comment sparked everyone’s suspicion.

Indeed! How did Jada get the medicine?

All eyes turned to Jada with skepticism. Instinctively, Jada took a step back and explained, “I acquired it through certain channels. It appears I may have misled you. I didn’t realize it was an unfinished version. I was just too concerned about Damari’s illness.”

“Oh, you were misled?” Andrew said icily. “Find out who provided Jada with the medicine from the lab.” The assistant promptly set out to investigate.

Witnessing this, Jada panicked and said, “Andrew, since Damari is fine now, I’ll discard the medicine.”

“Don’t you realize you’ve broken the law?” Andrew asked, staring at Jada. “Our medicine has been state-approved, and acquiring it through private channels is illegal. The country has had strict prohibitions against this for a long time, but you’ve just crossed that line.”

Mara was highly displeased. “Andrew, Jada acted with good intentions. Is it really necessary to be so harsh?”

“There’s a traitor in the lab. Naturally, I need to uncover who it is,” Andrew shot her a cold glance. Mara clenched her teeth. What a heartless man!

Despite all this, Andrew’s relatives still rallied behind Jada. One of them said, “Andrew, you can punish the traitor, but Jada acted with good intentions.”

“Jada is so kind. Don’t blame her.”

“Yes, is there any other girl who would treat you so well?”

Andrew remained unresponsive, gripping Madisyn’s hand tightly.

Andrew’s assistant was equally decisive and quickly brought someone in.

It was Belen.

The moment Belen laid eyes on Andrew, her legs went weak, and she collapsed to the floor, kneeling as she said, “Boss, I’m sorry.”

“Why did you do this?” Andrew asked, glaring down at Belen with icy disdain. Belen felt an overwhelming pressure, her body trembling under it. Unable to withstand the scrutiny from so many people, she finally admitted, “It’s for Miss Riggs…”

“Jada Riggs?” Andrew inquired.

“Yes,” Belen confirmed with a nod.

Everyone was puzzled. What connection did Jada have with Belen?

“Why did you do that?” Andrew pressed further. Belen glanced at Jada and said with a hint of sadness, “My friend and I believe that only Jada deserves you. We wanted Jada to prove herself to you so you could see her worth.”

The mood among the crowd was mixed. Jada did possess a certain personal charm.

“So, how much did you demand from Jada?” Andrew asked.

“I didn’t demand anything,” Belen replied honestly.

Those words were like ice-cold water thrown into hot oil, instantly sparking a heated reaction. “Really?”

“Then why did Jada claim she spent one hundred million?” Belen and Jada both turned pale. Belen stared at Jada in shock and disbelief. How could Jada say something like that?

Jada, meanwhile, seethed with anger towards Belen. Was this woman actually trying to help her?

“Jada, what’s your explanation?” Andrew’s face remained expressionless, his voice as cold as a distant glacier.

Jada was at a loss for words. It was clear to everyone what was happening. Jada hadn’t actually spent the money; she had claimed she did to demonstrate her supposed kindness. Was she truly the pure and kind-hearted figure she portrayed?

Belen’s gaze toward Jada shifted repeatedly. This so-called pure goddess didn’t seem kind-hearted after all.

“Jada did all this because she loves you, Andrew!” Mara exclaimed. “Is it really fair to blame her like this? She did everything she could for you.”

“For me? Does she not realize I’m already seeing someone? She knew that and still pressured me into marrying her. That’s what you call love?” Andrew said with a bitter laugh.

The crowd cast Jada glances filled with mixed emotions. Why did it seem like something was off?

Soren fell silent, unable to defend Jada any longer.

Jada suddenly burst out, “Andrew, I understand you’re furious with me, but I’ve loved you since I was a child, and it’s grown into an obsession. I’m so sorry. I sincerely apologize. I swear I won’t repeat this in the future.” This was Jada’s only option. If she kept pestering Andrew, it would only push him further away.

“So, because of your obsession, you tried to steal another woman’s boyfriend?” Andrew asked, his voice dripping with irritation. “Jada, you really have a way about you. Just get lost!”

Jada’s face went even more ashen. This was the first time Andrew had spoken to her with such harshness. It was clear he genuinely despised her. Jada had no option but to leave with Mara.

Once she was outside the hospital and in her car, the gentle, sorrowful look on her face vanished, replaced by chilling bitterness and cold rage.
