Comeback Of The Adored Heiress -
Chapter 596
Chapter 596:
Norton shared her sentiment, his opinion of Jada sinking like a stone. What innocent angel? It was all nonsense! Every move Jada made was a calculated step toward marrying into a more prestigious family!
Despite his frustration, Norton couldn’t help but feel a flicker of sympathy for Wesley, who was blissfully unaware of the situation.
“Wesley, I need to have a word with you.” Norton called out, his tone laced with urgency.
Wesley glanced at Norton and made his way over.
Norton stared hard at Wesley, his voice low but firm. “You do realize Jada used to chase after Andrew, and she recently said she had feelings for me, right? Even knowing this, do you still think she’s the one for you?”
Wesley replied, “Norton, I know all of that, but Jada explained everything. She said her family pressured her into choosing between marrying into the Santos family and the Klein family.”
“She fed me the same line. If she truly cared for you, why didn’t she choose you from the start? When I started dating Maxine, she began meddling, trying to drive a wedge between us.” Norton spoke with genuine concern. “Wesley, she doesn’t truly care about you. She chose you because you’re now the CEO of the Lambert Group, nothing more.”
But Wesley refused to listen.
“Norton, you’re only saying that because you’re siding with Madisyn now. I bet you’ve heard plenty of bad things about Jada from her, right? We were always on good terms, but ever since Madisyn came into the picture, your relationship with Jada has fallen apart. If I turn my back on her too, Jada won’t have anyone left. I’m all she has.”
Norton found himself utterly speechless.
He felt an undeniable sense of dread.
Jada’s ability to manipulate was something else. Wesley, being young and eager to play the hero, was completely caught in her web. He couldn’t abandon her.
Realizing that arguing further would be pointless, Norton shifted the conversation. “Let’s drop it. But tell me, why did you go against—”
“I never wanted to go against him. But Madisyn’s ruining everything. I just hope Andrew realizes she’s a dictator!” Wesley insisted, his voice rising. “If he breaks up with her, I’ll work with him again, no problem. I’ll do whatever he wants!”

“You really are something,” Norton sighed. Wesley saw both him and Andrew as brothers, yet he was so easily blinded by deception.
He asked, “Wesley, do you really think pushing Andrew like this will get you anywhere? Business isn’t a game. And Jada… she’s no saint either. Have we ever gone against you?”
Wesley shot Norton a look of deep disappointment. “Norton, we used to be such good friends. You’re really losing your way. When you look back on this, you’ll regret it.”
Without waiting for a response, Wesley turned on his heel and walked away, unwilling to exchange another word.
Meanwhile, the tension between Maxine and Jada was palpable.
Jada’s eyes sparkled with smug provocation, but Maxine remained cool, utterly unfazed by her attitude.
Jada had expected Maxine to be jealous, thinking she had landed someone better, but to her surprise, Maxine was as calm as ever. It reminded Jada of Madisyn’s demeanor.
