Miranda's eyes were filled with a hint of fierceness as she stared atLachlan and asked.

In certain situations, a woman's sense of smell can be as sensitive as ahigh-precision detection instrument.

Reeva sat in the passenger seat and her scent was immediately caughtby Miranda.

Lachlan "uh”ed, feeling a bit guilty from her question.

But he still nodded and truthfully said, "I have a friend who has sat on itbefore."

Miranda snorted coldly, and an inexplicable feeling of resentment andanger surged up in her heart.

However, Lachlan's calmness made her feel unable to express herfrustration and anger.

"Why am I getting angry?"

Without further ado, Lachlan handed over several sheets of paper toMiranda. "Ms. Lowe, these are the recipes for four different types ofmedicine. Can you make some samples for each one?"

Miranda was stunned for a moment as she took the papers and lookedthem over with an unusual expression in her beautiful eyes.

The paper listed the formulas for four different medicines along withtheir corresponding effects.

Miranda couldn't understand the formulas but she could understandthe effects that Lachlan had noted down.

"Are you sure these four medicines are as powerful as you say theyare?" She couldn't help but ask.

The scar removal products on the market were not very effective; itmight take years of use before any results could be seen. As for hairgrowth products... don't even get started on those!

Hair loss and graying had always been ultimate challenges in bothmedical circles and health product industries. Although various hairgrowth products boasted about their effectiveness, they hardly had anyeffect at all!

If these two types of products were really as powerful as what Lachlanwrote above, then with proper marketing strategies they woulddefinitely become bestsellers!

And the highly effective hemostatic drugs, as well as the drugs fortreating leukemia, if their effects were really as described by Lachlan,they will probably be in high demand.

However, Miranda had doubts about the effectiveness stated byLachlan and suspected that it might be exaggerated.

Nevertheless, Lachlan nodded seriously. "Of course! If you can quicklyproduce a sample, we can start clinical trials right away.”

"Great!" Miranda looked deeply at Lachlan and nodded heavily.

Lachlan snapped out of it and was immediately annoyed. "What's withthis Pigsy nonsense? Who taught you that?" he asked.

"Chloe! She said Daddy is Pigsy," the little girl replied while shaking herhead.

Lachlan leaned back with a sigh and remembered Erik's great-granddaughter Chloe who was just as mischievous as Nora. The twotroublemakers went to the same kindergarten together and she hadalready corrupted his daughter!

In just a few days’ time had passed since then. During these few days,Lachlan had already moved into Emerald Green Estates with Nora andhired a nanny for when he wasn't around on weekends. With the littleone having time off from school during those times, someone neededto take care of her.

During this period of time, Miranda had already gotten the productiondepartment at the pharmaceutical company to make samples of fourdifferent drugs.

During this period, the beautiful CEO personally supervised the qualityand confidentiality of the samples. After the samples were produced,the company invested in clinical trials while Lachlan gave some to Erik,Clifford and others to try out with their own contacts. In a VIP room at a tea house, Albie greeted Miranda and Lachlanwarmly, "Ms. Lowe is here? And Mr. Willis too! Haha..."

Albie then looked at Lachlan with gratitude, "Mr. Willis, thanks again forlast time saving my son's life! I can't thank you enough so please acceptthis small token of appreciation!”

With that said, Albie pulled out a check worth 1 million dollar from hisbriefcase.

Lachlan waved his hand, "Mr. Elliott, please, you don't need to be sopolite; as a father myself I couldn't just stand by when I saw your sonpoisoned.”

"Besides," he added with a smile, "you promised my wife that youwould sign on for cooperation; that is already the best thank-you gift!"Miranda chimed in, "Don't be too modest now, Mr. Elliott!"

However as soon as they finished speaking, they noticed an unnaturalexpression on Albie's face...

"This... the collaboration, there's been a problem! Ms. Lowe, I'm sorry,”said Albie.

"What do you mean, Mr. Elliott? We agreed on everything during ourlast phone call. If you're not satisfied with the price, we can negotiateagain,” said Miranda with changing face at the news.

Albie shook his head and blushed as he spoke up, "It's not about theprice."

"Then what is it? Mr. Elliott, Lachlan saved your son and you promisedto work with our company,” Miranda pressed on impatiently.

Lachlan furrowed his brows and a hint of anger flashed across his face.What was Albie playing at?

"Hehehe... Ms. Lowe, don't waste your breath! I offered him a moreattractive deal that made him reject your offer!" came a voice fromoutside the door as it opened to reveal a middle-aged man wearinggold-rimmed glasses walking in nonchalantly.

Upon seeing this man, Miranda's face immediately darkened and herteeth ground together audibly in anger.

Her eyes were filled with thick resentment and fury as she recognizedhim - he was Isa's personal lawyer!

One of his lackeys!

It was Isa again!
