Chapter 7 Five Years Later

According to the information sent back by Timothy, Francesca had purchased a plane ticket to Fruycia. Strangely, Fruycia reported that she had not arrived, and there was no evidence of her traveling to other countries.

Colton’s expression changed, which was a rare occurrence.

He demanded in a deep voice that Timothy continue the investigation ast he looked out of the window.

The investigation continued for half a month, but there were still no results.

Just as Timothy mustered the courage to wonder if something unfortunate. had happened to the woman, Colton received an anonymous package containing the signed divorce agreement from both sides.

As Colton gazed at the divorce agreement in his hand, his face turned as dark as thunder.

Five years later, åt Alenvista Airport, Fashn Group’s special assistant, Marcus Lewis, anxiously waited outside the airport, his eyes unwaveringly. fixed on the exit. It wasn’t until a beautiful figure appeared that he finally. let out a long sigh of relief.

He quickly approached her and greeted, “Ms. Beckman.”

The woman wore a form–fitting red dress that accentuated her perfect figure. She slowly removed her sunglasses, revealing her bright eyes and red lips. Smiling at Marcus, she said, “Thank you for your hard work.”

If there were familiar faces present, they probably wouldn’t recognize that the dazzling woman before them, radiant as a rose, was once the gentle

and delicate eldest daughter of the Beckman family.

Although he had seen her countless times in videos, Marcus was still momentarily dazzled. He quickly took her luggage. “Would you like to go back to the hotel first or head to the company?”

“Let’s go to the company first.”

Marcus didn’t say much; he simply took Francesca directly to the Fashn Group.

Fashn Group, a legendary company that had swiftly ascended to

prominence within a mere two years, had already begun to subtly rival the long–established influence of the four prestigious families. Even the leaders of these renowned families found themselves compelled to display a certain level of respect toward the rising force of Fashn Group.

The figure behind the Fashn Group, who held the position of authority, remained shrouded in mystery, never making public appearances. This enigmatic presence has given rise to numerous speculations and conjectures.

Only the senior executives of Fashn Group knew the identity of the person in charge.

As Marcus pondered these random thoughts, he led Francesca upstairs.

Upon seeing the usually reserved Marcus being so warm and attentive to a woman, the receptionists at the front desk couldn’t help but speculate about the identity of the mysterious visitor.

Francesca ascended to the top floor of the building. There, she stood. before the floor–to–ceiling window, taking in the view of Alenvista–both familiar and unfamiliar. A mixture of emotions welled up within her heart.

She quickly composed herself and asked Marcus, “If I recall correctly, tomorrow is the birthday of Old Mr. Zeller from the Zeller family, isn’t it?”

Marcus quickly nodded. “Yes. Are you planning to go?”

A strange glint flashed in Francesca’s eyes when she mentioned the Zeller family, but she quickly regained her composure. “We have a project with the Zeller family recently, don’t we? Of course, we should go.”

Marcus agreed and was about to leave when Francesca stopped him again. “I don’t have any suitable dresses. Please have someone send some over.

After he left, the spacious office became quiet.

Francesca couldn’t help but recall the past, and a hint of an extremely sarcastic smile formed on her lips.

Just then, her ringing phone interrupted her train of thought.

Upon connecting the video call, Francesca was greeted by the sight of two exquisitely adorable children.

“Mommy!”

Two chubby smiling faces appeared on the screen, their round eyes. unblinkingly staring at the camera, melting Francesca’s heart with their

cuteness.

The slight gloom that had just risen in her heart had then completely dissipated.

“Have you all been behaving well?” Francesca gently asked.

“Yes!” The little boy on the left answered sweetly, while the little girl on the right quietly covered her phone with her hand. “Today, Grandpa took us horseback riding.”

“Riding a horse?” Francesca raised her eyebrows. “Then you must behave. yourselves. I will be back soon.”

The two children obediently nodded their heads, and after chatting for a while, they finally ended the video call.
