Demon (BoyxBoy) Book 1 -
Prologue
She ran through the woods, her hand wrapped around her child's fingers. Her blue eyes were painted with fear as she walked through the woods, every snap and whistle that swayed through the warlock’s trees made her paranoid.
She had to get to Jayce. The boy was only five years old and his eyes were leaking with the immense power he was cursed with.
''Mama, where are we going?'' The child asked, his fierce green eyes staring up at her. She heard the sound of a twig snapping behind her, her stomach dropping as she quickened her pace.
''We are just visiting an old friend of mommy’s Angel.'' She said, pulling him along with her.
She approached the house, running up to the door with no time to waste. The edges of her dress were covered in mud, her long red hair curly and frizzy under the baby blue hood she wore. She had been walking with her son for about four hours now... they couldn't get a ride here, and absolutely NOBODY could know why she was visiting this place. Her son would be killed.
She knocked on the door with a heavy hand, her head darting back to the woods. She was paranoid that someone was following them, although nobody even knew she left.
She would never be able to explain why the Queen was at a warlocks house at this hour of the night.
The door opened swiftly, her head snapping back to the warlock’s door. There he stood with a glass of whiskey in his hand, his bright eyes gazing at her with a mischievous stare that she can read easily, to her surprise.
''Queen Ella, what a surprise...'' He murmured, taking his glass of whiskey to his lips.
''You have to help me...'' She begged, looking down at her child. He looked back up at her, his green eyes staring at her in confusion. Why was his mom begging this strange man to help?
“Dear, you can't hide his powers forever... it’s childish to think that.”
''Jayce, the kingdom will MURDER him if they replace out their prince is... not totally human. You have to help me...'' She said once more. She felt her child pull on her dress, her attention falling to the child that stood at her feet.
''Mommy, what are you talking about?''
Her attention went back to the warlock in front of her dressed in silk, his lips curled in an amused smile.
''Come in, Queen Ella. You know you're always welcome here.''
They walked into the warlocks house, the queen walking over to the couch with her child nearly attached to her hip. His eyes were cautiously following the strange man that closed the front door behind him, leaving the three of them alone.
The warlock approached the Queen finally, setting his whiskey down on the table before clasping his decorated fingers together.
''Oh my, what do we have here...'' He murmured, looking over to the boy the queen claimed needed help. His black hair was curly and frizzy, his pale skin the finest porcelain color. The thing that stood out the most was his emerald green eyes, they were a shocking green... almost neon.
''You can see the power running through his eyes... the power of-''
''Don't say it.''
The warlock smiled at the Queen, clicking his fingers at her command. A blue ball of smoke appeared at his fingertips, the child’s eyes widened at the sight, curious of the power that the man had.
“Yes, my Queen."
The warlock motioned for the child to come over to him. He looked up at his mother with cautious eyes, her weary smile motioning for him to trust the man. He eventually gained the courage to pull away from her comforting eyes, holding out his hand to the witty warlock.
“I can’t wait until we meet again, Seth. I will teach you everything I know.”
“You will not meet him again, Jayce. I will make
that a promise.”
He blew the blue smoke into the boys face in response, the boy's eyes slowly closing on impact. The events of today's day slowly were erased, and the event of coming to the warlock in the first place. After that, he was yet again the prince of the kingdom, nothing more or less. He is the great queens son.
Little does the kingdom know, their soon to be king is far from human.
